Simple Sonar

Beskrivning
Simple Sonar MC that shows active targets as blue lines. Ping can be startet with label 32 on composite (trigger from seat) and while active, shows detected targets as blue lines, fading to blue depending on their age.

Line azimuth shows relativ bearing of targets and length of radius shows their elevation, center meaning direct below.

While a ping is active, approximate signal distance is show in the lower left corner.

The LUA script has a list with blind spots to hide own engine noise. Own noise sources can be identified be enabling debug mode on MC, which then shows the bearing of local noise sources.

My "filter" is just a table, telling the sonar on which angles not to look (or not to draw in that matter).
It's the one on top of the LUA code. Activate the debug mode to show numeric positions on the screen to identify the ones that don't change which correspond to your engine.

how exactly does your filtering work trying to make a sonar of my own much simpler but its picking up engine noise
