hello, i am some random guy who did mercenary ethereal and want to show you how to do it.



things you need:
mercenary unlocked
skill or no skill at mercenary
extreme patience
ok thats it.

First, you want to have a prismatic trial with either these artifacts: command, kin, and glass. It may take awhile to find one with these artifacts enabled or you could just head into a prismatic trial without them but it will be harder.

You can use any of mercenary's skills but preferably the default ones.

Now that you've found a prismatic trial that's viable, hop in as mercenary.

The way to unlock Mercenary: Ethereal is to complete a prismatic trial without falling below 100% health.
But this raises a question, what exactly does health mean? Like default health, shields, armor?
Well it pretty much means default health. This means if you have a shield and don't get damaged on your default health then you're fine.

Here are some items I recommend grabbing.
Personal Shield Generator
Topaz Brooch
Tougher Times
Aegis
Stun Grenade
Equipment:
any I guess, just if you decide they help you.
If SOTV (Survivors of the Void) is enabled then pick those and this:
Delicate Watch

Some things you shouldn't pick up are healing items as you can't get the achievement if you go under 100% hp.
Drones:
Pick up any drone that will help you fight, do not pick up healing drones.

Tips:
Always use the invincibility frames from Mercenary's Blinding Assault and Eviscerate to your advantage.
Mercenary's Blinding Assault can be used 3 times in a row in 1 go if you hit the first 2 attacks, this can also be used for mobility.
If Artifact of Vengeance is enabled you only have 10 minutes per stage before your doppelganger spawns, if it does spawn, well.... just restart.

Tips:
Still having trouble? Use Cabbage's prismatic trial videos to help you and help pick out good prismatic trials to do this on. (Steam won't let me link his channel but just look up "cabbage risk of rain 2")



Welp, that's it I guess. Remember to always know that this achievement is NOT impossible. Everything is possible, just work hard for it, and wait for good prismatic trials to appear.
