If you're like me when the game first launched, you opted into Data Sharing with Sony, then played a bunch of the game with no problem. Upon your next launch of the game, it crashes after the intro splash screens. Verifying your files, updating drivers, etc. didn't help me. What worked for me was turning off Data Sharing. To do this without launching the game successfully, you must navigate to the following folder:

This will bring you to a folder that contains a folder with some random numbers (your User ID). Open this folder.

In this folder you will see a file named: Right click this file, choose Open With and open it with Notepad.

In this document, you will see a line with the text:
Simply change the 1 to a 0 so it reads as:

Save the document, close the file, and attempt to relaunch the game.
