in any kind of competition, i'd say that i value the humour that a submission brings more than anything. if it tells a story that is funny, people would naturally feel more favourable towards that piece. sorta like even if youre an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you can get away with it if youre hilarious. even if my piece sucks balls, people will like it because of "da funni'. Thats not to say that in an art competition, the "art" aspect of it is irrelevant but its more like it lays the groundwork for the storytelling that a piece should have, otherwise, it is simply soulless and does not leave much of an impression on anyone. u get it?
