How to unlock new weapons, characters, etc.
To unlock Keitha/Maruto/Luminarie/Genevieve starting weapons, you have to survive 15 minutes with each of this characters (which comes naturally).
  • Start the Lake Foscari as any character. Find Eleanor's coffin (unlocks character - Eleanor). See the Lake Foscari map below.
  • Defeat 6000 Sammies (unlocks character - Sammy). See the Lake Foscari map below.
  • Defeat Avatar of Gaea boss, that spawns at 25:00 (unlocks Lake Foscari Hyper mode).
  • Start any stage as Eleanor. Unite SpellString, SpellStream and SpellStrike (unlocks character - Maruto). See "New evolutions & union" section below.
  • Start any stage as Maruto. Evolve the Eskizzibur (unlocks character - Keitha).
  • Start the Lake Foscari as Keitha, evolve the Flash Arrow weapon and break the seal (unlocks stage - Abyss Foscari).
  • Start the Abyss Foscari as Maruto. Evolve the Eskizzibur weapon and break the seal (unlocks character - Luminaire). Seal is displayed on the ingame map as "?".
  • Start the Abyss Foscari as Eleanor. Unite her weapons and break the seal (unlocks character - Genevieve). Defeat Je-Ne-Viv (unlocks Abyss Foscari Hyper mode). Seal is displayed on the ingame map as "?".
  • Start any stage as Genevieve. Evolve the Shadow Servant (unlocks achievement). Defeat 100000 enemies (unlocks character - Je-Ne-Viv).
  • Start any stage as Luminaire. Evolve the Prismatic Missile (unlocks achievement).

If haven't done naturally:
  • Defeat 6000 Rotting Ghouls (unlocks character - Rottin' Ghoul). At the Abyss Foscari travel south through the gates, then go west all the way, then south again:


At this point you should have all the DLC weapons, characters and achievements unlocked.

okay, so did a little test, i think that when playing as Eleanor, if you wait till the milestone levels to get the SpellS set, you'll need cures to upgrade the last weapon in the set, but if you get the SpellS set through random chance curse is unnecessary.

um standard i think? i don't really mess with that. you know, i've noticed other people having a similar problem with SpellStrike not leveling untill they get something with curse. Aliensrock (or Tyler) didn't get spellstrike past level-2 till he maxed out torona's box. and i didn't get it till i put levels into gold ring.

Strange. May be some king of bug... Are you playing with "GPU fix" game starting option, or a standard one? I encounered some bugs with GPU fix version...

I've done three runs with Eleanor and needed to pick up a curse Item for SpellStrike to even get past it's level 2. i haven't level the meta-cure from the start menu, so i was going to try that next.

Just tested it. Got SpellStorm having 0 curse. The only requierement is to have all 3 weapons at max level, then pick up evolution chest (as with any other union).

spellstrike can only be leveled up if you have a certain level of curse, so Trona's box is extremely useful for that

very helpful, just got the new dlc did a run and got elenor first run and killed the avatar on total luck in the garden. THANKS FOR ALL THE HARD WORK FOR THE MAP AND GUIDE !!!!!

There is a good Sammy farming spot near the bottom left corner of the map too, Queen Sigma gets the job done, imo it's better without her main weapon upgraded and get Infinite Corridor and Wicked Season (XIII) arcane.
