If you feel that plant coverage mechanic is too restrictive at times, limits your creativity or makes habitats look bold and unnatural, you might enjoy building habitats for animals which have unlimited plant coverage bar.

If you are not sure what plant coverage is, consider looking at the image below:


As you can see, the King Penguin has low tolerance toward many plants thus forcing you leaving its' habitat almost empty. Of course you can use rocks, terrain etc to make it look less bold, but what if you like plants and you really don't want that tree outside to disappear? (The plants outside the habitat still affect animals when placed near, unfortunately).

There is not much you can do unless you have a game-changing mod or if you decided to build habitats for animals that wouldn't mind their terrotory to be spammed with plants. Some of them will still need the minumum amount of plants (see in the image: the Japanese Macaque), some - don't care (like Arctic Wolf), but

Don't forget: you are still restricted to use plants from the animals' native biomes & continents if you want to avoid happiness penalties / activists.
