Uninstall the trash version

Uninstall "Bully: Scholarship Edition"

Download PCSX2

Download the latest stable release of PCSX2 at https://pcsx2.net/ and set it up. You can find a tutorial on youtube if you have any troubles setting it up, the only thing you're likely to get confused by is installing a BIOS to it which you can find here[vimm.net], you just need to scroll down to Playstation 2, download the zip, and unpack the downloaded BIOS into \Documents\PCSX2\bios

Get the PS2 file for Bully

Acquire Bully.iso for ps2 (surely through legal means and not from any ROM website or torrenting website that you can look up on google or reddit), and boot it up on PCSX2 just to check everything is working properly, then close it

1080P (ESSENTIAL)

In PCSX2, navigate to Config>Video>Plugin Settings
Make sure renderer is set to either DirectX11 (Hardware) or OpenGL (Hardware)
And make the following changes:
Internal Resolution = 3x Native (~1080p)
Anisotropic Filtering = 16x
Mipmapping (Ins): Basic (Fast)
Enable Hardware Hacks = On
Advanced Settings & Hacks>Skipdraw Range = 6 - 6
Shader Configuration> Texture Filtering of Display = On
Shader Configuration> FXAA Shader (PgUp) = On
Shader Configuration> Shade Boost = On

60 FPS (NOT RECOMMENDED)

Go to C:\Users\"USERNAME"\Documents\PCSX2\cheats
Create a new text file
paste the following:

//60 FPS
patch=1,EE,005E1054,word,00000000

rename and save file as "28703748.pnach" (the number might be different, check pcsx2 console to see the game's CRC number and replace that number with the "28703748")
on PCSX2 tick System>Settings>Emulation>Enable Cheats

THIS MAY BREAK SOME THINGS AS THE GAME IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED IN 30FPS, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK (If you can get used to 30 FPS I recommend doing that instead)

"Enable Hardware Hacks" specifically this setting and the ones that follow, i cant find, maybe they changed the name or location?

I was wondering how to fix the blurriness and the skipdraw settings fixed it for me.

silent patch is good but it doesnt fix the audio, graphics and gameplay/control issues, yes the PC version or "Scholarship Edition" has extra content, but I would argue the little bit of bonus content does not at all make up for the horrible loss of build quality

or.. just install silent patch, and doesnt the PC version have extra missions and classes compared to the playstation version?

agreed, i prefer playing bully and san andreas on 30fps as well, just not worth all the instability and problems you face at 60 on older games

Yeah don't overclock the game lol. You'd need an asi plugin or cleo script to do that and even then it might not work, just get used to 30FPS on old R* games, it really is not that bad if your PC doesn't lag. Doubling the tickspeed is going to essentially make some coded elements twice as fast, this includes the AI.

oh yeah EE cycle rate at 180% is really helpful if you have a beefy-ish computer, it can cause bugs from what i understand tho, glad i could be of help with this very lazily put together guide

For people who can't reach 60 fps, go to Emulation settings and crank up the overclock settings on EE Cycle Rate, I got an i7 12700k 3070 ti and the game ran at 40ish fps until I changed it to 180% overclock, awesome guide btw, couldn't figure out what was causing everything to be extremely blurry, settings worked.
