This is a guide to help people out who is just beginning to play this game .
I will edit and add new section to this guide to improve it for you the viewers.
NOTE: This gude i am done with . I have finished my mission guide now.

Dear Reader

This guide is devided up in to parts to help you out.
This guide ment to help you the player more then me.
This guide some up my experiece what i did wrong while i went through the game.
At least you can learn from mistakes so they do not happend to you. I divided this guide
up in to parts to cover each area. Just click in the content page to go to desire section of this guide. I hope that this guide help you out while you play Fallout Tactics. I have just finished the mission guide.

NOTE: any comments to inform me of any mistakes i made or improvement would be apprecated .You the reader are the one that benefit more from guides being improved as a resault of constructive critism. For any section that you want to see made or more info put in to them please put it down in the comment section of this guide

The pictures i put in with numbers in on them . If you can not read them clearly just click on the picture to enlarge it to see the numbers more clearly. This is usefull when looking at my picture with numbers for the last mission guide. The number below the picture with the number tell what to do at that part , to inform or act as a lengend for infomation.

I will have the last mission mission details in this guide still. I have the info on the last mission in the beginner mission guide . You can have a look for for this info part of the guide in both guides.
I will go over this guide and correct my grammar in the guide when i have time.

Your charater creation ( squad leader)
This part before you begin to play the game you have to create your charater from the hair colour to you stats. If you have played and beaten any other Fallout game then you know how to create a decent to a very good charater. If you know how to make a charater and want to read more in to this section then do so. If you know how to create the charater and not good at it then read on in this section.If you know how to make a decent/good charater from the base up then you can skip or read this part of the guide

physical body:
you can choose your charater skin, hair and clothes couler. This part you can make a female or male BOS squad leader.

portrait:
choose witch default picture you like the best .

Skills:
These are importent i will not go in to details here. If you want more info on this go to the guide section of this guide. I have gone indepth in the skills you can use. You can tag 3 skills witch will have more points to witch can help or not help you out in the begining of the game. Choose wisely for your 3 taged skills.

Perks:
You can pick up to 2 perks from the list. You can pick 1,2 or no perks if you want to .Choose witch one you like for your squad leader . Remember to pick perks that benefit them,there class or anything that help the squad out.

Stats:
This area cover from luck down to strength just like in the other Fallout games. I will work on this at a later date.

Strength: This stat effect on how much strength you have. The stat modefy: hp,carry weight, more effective melle weapon use and able to use weapons that require a high stregth score ( 10 is maximum for the minigun use). You can use perks and power armor to use heavy weapons if you you have a low strenght score.
Perception:
This stat is importent for sharp shooter or snipers. This stat modefy sequences and combat distance modefyers.
Endurance:
This stat effect how well your person endure the threats they face. This stat effect HP, rad/poison resitance, healing rate, hp increase per level.
Charisma:
This stat modefy dialog option, better recruit options,better item prices ( barter skill with the stat work together quite well together) , better npc option
Intelligence:
This skill is very importent. In all fallout games this skill effect your dialog options you have, A low socre give you simple dialogs. A high score offers more dialog option. This skill modefyers are : Dialog option,many skills and # of points gain for skill per levels.
Agility:
This statl determine how fast you run. The skill it modefy are action points,sequences,armor class and many skills
Luck:
This stat effect all things you do. It is ok to have 1 point in luck. With some points or a high luck score you action will have a high chance to complete a task much more easier like picking a hard lock and geting it unlock in 1 try.
Squad lead artitech built
This area cover some basic builds for your squad leader. i I will not cover perks and stats in this part at all require ti use the classes.You can modefy these classes and add new skill to the leader or squad members as you go along in the game. There are other classes that you can make to just fromt he skills provided to you in the game.

Combat roles:

combat Medic: This combat medic specializes in medic skill and in a fire arm skill. I had the leader specialize in small and energy weapon .

small weapon user: This person use small fire arms. Weapons skill and class of weapons look at guide part in this guide.

heavy weapon user: This person use big weapons. Look in guide for more details on weapons.

energy weapon user: This person use Energy weapons. Look in guide for more details in guide for weapons in guide.

Sniper: This class uses the enviroment and range weapons to their advantage. This class weakness is when enemy get close up and personnel to kill them. To fix this issue have another range weapon to kill them if they get close to you. This class weapon are sniper rifle. You will start off with basic no scope rifles (early game), sniper rifle(mid game) and energy sniper rifle(late in game). Put points in small fire arm early and energy weapon in mid to later in game. If you have a good trap skill shoot them if you want to.

Trap finder: This class find traps

Stealth fighter: This fighter use fire arms and melee is a stealthy fashion.

Melee fighter: This brawler is a that uses melee weapons only.



non combantent ( not ment to use in combat directly):

merchant (money maker): This build only have the barter skill only. Put your skill points in to the barter skill to make a super merchant for the team. With this set up you can make alot of BOS and wasteland $$. Having a merchant in a team will get you enough cash if you saved up to buy any need supplies or better equipment from merchants.

mechanic: This buld soley have repairs buld. The driver class go with this as well.

driver: This class just focus on the driving and out doors man skill. You must have repair kits to fix vehicle damage done to the tank. With the extra space for gear you can use this class as a pack mule.

pack mule: This pack mule as i mention carry all of the need items or extra item to sell at base for BOS $$. Have a high strength on this with perks to increase weight carry limit. Also having a suit of power on will increase you carry weight.

Medic:
non combat leader: This leader have non combat of all non combatent roles.
Charater / Squadron Design
SQUADRON DESIGN

Making a good team can be difficult and time consuming. A good team should be able to do anything and handle most problems that show up while you play. If you put your level's skill points in the wrong skill or have the wrong gear at certain point of the game you will have problems. You can have 1 to 6 people in the group . I reccomand that you have 6 people in the group do fill all the role's. If you have past experience in making a party from other RPG then you should be fine. If not then this is a learning oportunity for you. Just remember t that certain classes are familar to other same RPG classes: medic (healer) , Tank ( heavy weapon user/ take alot of abuse), archer (range fighter or sniper) , ninja (steathly charater that use silance melee and range weapons) and etc.As you you begin a new game you will have the default starting group unless you edit the game file's or use mod. I highly recommand that you stick with a group you made from the start and improve on them as you advance in game. Try to have 5 out of 6 team member good with most firearms weapons and skill. This is handy when you divide your party of 6 in to 2 group of 3 for tatic that require that group size.

In game recruits as you advance are : Deathclaws, Humans, Super Mutants and Ghouls.
Each of these races bring something to the team.

Default party:

Your own created charater
-he or she will be how you make them

Stich
-main skill at start he is a medic
-If you plan to keep him work on his Medic Skills and have him put remaining points into a firearm skill like Small fire arms

Far sight
- She is the range fighter
-Her main skills at start is sneak,lockpick and small arms
-If you plan to keep her then upgrade the three skills above


Recruiting new party member
-make sure they have the right skill that you need to improve the team
- remember to take the gear off the person who you are swaping for to keep it or put it on new member of team
-having a high charisma score early on will give you more better option when it comes to recruit picking


GROUP ROLE'S


In the current play through this is my party make up. This set up work fine for me through . If my set does not work for you then set it uo however you like. Just make sure that you have all the basic skill like firstaid, lockpicking,find trap, barter skill, outdoors skill and firearm skill covered.
This part i will not cover perks when you level up . I will tell you witch one are good to get i think through my game play: perks to increase hp recovery, increase carry weight, perks related to medic skill , perks allow you to use weapons that require up to 10 strenght or any thing else that you think that your group/group member will benefit from . If you can get power armor try to get it for the entire team. If not then give it to your main front line team members. The power armor will increase your strength abit so you can use any weapon in game if you have 10 strength. Now you just need the skill for the party member to use the weapon. For more detail of my team roles and their stats look at end of guide to see the details.

Leader
-skilled as medic, in small fire arms and good in bartering to

Far sight
-i have her skills points in small fire arms,stealth,lockpicking, find traps, outdoors

Stich
-Same skills as the leader but without the bartering skills

Jo
-I have you maxed out in driving,repairing and working on the out door skill as well
-Off topic note i use her as a packmule as well to carry my extra items
-i have her carry my extra ammo,medic items incase if i need them during a mission

Brian
-Use some medic skill, small ,energy and big guns
-i have him as a pack mule to

Jack
-same skill as Brian but have some lockpicking skill on top of it
-i have him as a pack mule to


Roles to fill in a squad

As i mention up above that making a group is importent.The skill that i mention below should be use by 1-6 group member. If you have these skill set to certain member or mutipul then you will not have not a problem when you are doing missions unless you run out of medic items/ammuniton in a mission.

Skills require in party:
- medic related skills (first aid/doctor)
P.S : Remember not to uses first aid kit( medic impoertent item) to bandade some one backup to much.If you do that then you must use stimpack or other medic items to heal. The bandage effect happend when you bandage the team member from head to toe to many times.
-Small fire arms (early in game use)
-big fire arms (mid in game use)
-energy fire arms ( later in game use)
outdoor ( one person in group should have it at 100% or more to allow you to skip events during your travel through out the game)
-bartering(selling and buying items at a better price)
-lockpicking (use later in game when lockpick doors/chest become harder)
-find trap ( this use to find traps and deactivate them )
-sneak( a some what use full skill if use right)
-repairs( for reparing transportation)
-science ( for unlocking terminals that are locked ( required to have high skill over 120% when you get in to Vault 0 to use the locked terminals. Use this skill just like lockpicking when it comes to terminal. This skill come to be importent only closer to the end of the game)

Skill
This section i will cover usefull to not use full skills with icons below to inform them how usefull they are with in game discription and there actual in games uses are. These decription are breif and for full description look at them in charater skill sheet.

0: not worth geting
1: it is use full but not usefull at times
2: squad member must have for party
3: must have skill for party

Small guns 2-3: This skill make use of small guns(pistols,smg and rifles ) more effectively. This is a importent skill to have. Just look at my weapon section of the guide for more infomation on this topic.

Big Guns 2-3: This skill cover the use of large weapons more efectively.

Energy Weapon 2-3: this skill use of laser and plasama weapons more effectively.

Unarmed 1-3: This skill is use full only if you get up close and personal to the enemy .I do not recommend this skill but it is handy when your skill points are high in this area.

Melee 1-3 : This skill make use of one handed or two handed weapons more effectively.
This skill is handy if you want to make a melee fighter that uses range weapons

Throwing 2-3: this skill enable that you can throw items more effectively. This skill in handy if you plan to use grenades ( rocks,grenades,etc).

First Aid 3: This skil make use of first aid items more effectively(stimpacks,radaway,etc).

Doctor 3: This skill make use of doctor bags to treat injuries more effectively. If you combined the doctor skill and first aid skill together you will benefit from them both.

Lock Picking 3 : This skill enables you to use electronic/regular lockpick to unlock door's/containers's with out the proper key.

Sneak 2-3 : This skill allow to to sneak by obstacles/enemy more effectively or evade them. This skill is handy later on if you want to sneak by enemies to deactivate turrert power to turn them off. Using heavy armor like power armor or metal armor will reduce your sneak sneak skill. Power armor will reduce your your skill the most. To counter balance this have a high skill points put in to this area.

Steal 1: This skill allow you to steal a item from a person/container.

Trap 2: This skill allow you to find and deactivate traps(mines,etc). You can pick the trap up and use it on the enemy or sell them for cash. If you can pick them up , these trap will get you more cash when you sale them. When you find them use fire arms to destroy them if you have to. When destroy the mines be a safe distance away from it or you will take damage from the blast.

Science 3: This skill cover variety of science. The science covers are computers,biology,physics and geology. This abilaty is importent to have a high score of 120% to unlock terminals later in game when you have to deal with robots later on in there bases to unlock vault 0 sector wings ( Vault 0 , robot bases).Lockpicking skill is not useful when trying to unlock the terminals.

Repairs 3: Able to repair broken/damage equipment more effectively. EX: reparing a humvee

Pilot 3 : Able to maintain and operate vehicles more effectively.

Barter 3: This skill allow you to barter for a better item price . This skill allow you to get more or less cash base on the item price and skill level. You get better prices for item when buying items and more cash for selling item. This skill is handy when you need to make cash to cover your squad purchases ( ammo, medic items, armor, weapons, etc). With a high score in this you can make alot of BOS $ to get power armor for the entire squad if you saved up the BOS $ for it.

Gambling 0-3: Able to gamble more effectively. This skill is usefull only when you want to gamble to make cash. I have this skill set to 0-3 because i found no use in this skill but if you can make this skill when making cash. If you can make this skill work then good job for you.

Outdoors man 3: This skill allow you to skip events while you are traveling the wastes from location A to B during mission. This is handy when you are exploring the waste to find equipment through out the wastes. Make sure one member have the skill over %100 to avoid all enemy encounters.


Weapons classes
In this part i will talk about the weapon class, some use full gear in them and how to use them.
Using any type of fire arm to focus fire on a enemy is very importent when you get to be facing off with super muntants, death claws and robots.

Small gun : This class cover both 1 handed and 2 handed weapons. The weapons that are in this class are : pistols, rifles, sniper rifles, smg . These small guns come in large quanity at the begining when you face off with the raiders. There are better small fire arms you can get by buying or finding them. This class is still use full later in game but are some what useless when facing the robots. Only the larger caliber like the 7.62mm ammo is still usefull to kill the robots but they do less damage to the robots. Energy and explosizes weapons do more damage to the robots by game end. The small and big guns will use more ammo to kill the robots, so bring more when you faces these metal monsters. You will have no problem finding ammo for all fire arms class. By game end if you save your ammo properly you will be almost encumber by the large quanity of ammo you will find in the game.

Big Guns: These big guns reguire a lot of strenghts from 6-10 strength as the bigger weapons that come along. To combat this get power armor or perks to reduce strength to use such heavy weapons. The weapons inlude: LMG( 7.62mm , 50 cal, etc) missle launcher and flame throwers. Most of these big weapon will pop up in mid to later missions game play . You will find the super mutants use mostly big weapons , once dead you can pick them up . These big weapons sell them to make alot of BOS $ at base for any that you do not use. These big weapons are good still when you face the robots later on.

energy: This class uses energy weapons that use energy batteries as fuel. This is a usefull class of weapons when you face the robots later in game. Be warned you may find geting energy ammo off of robots may be problem for you if use this weapon class to much. Such weapons are : laser/plasma pistols , laser/plasma rifles, grenades and mines. Energy Weapons bring in a lot of $ BOS for you. When you get to face robots remember to focus your energy weapon to kill the robots in a more effective manner.

Explosives: This skill covers mines,grenades and grenade launcher. If use right this can be a powerfull weapon class. Just be carefull to not to use them when around party members. If the explosize hit your party member it can hurt or kill them. Use this weapon at distance to kill the enemy. Certain explosives will get you some or alot of BOS $.

Melee: This class cover all melee weapons like combat knifes to iron pipes. This is a use full skill when you use powerfull melee weapons. The only problem with this class and unarmed is that you have to get close to the enemy first to use this type of weapon.

Unarmed: This skill does not use any form of fire arms. This skill uses only fists and feet. In this class there are some gear like spike golves and powerfist to use. This class is still usefull but in later mission this skill become useless by game end.

It is a good idea to have mix of these 6 weapons class skill in your party. The four main one are small,big,energy explosives. I found these four are the most userfull. The last two skills are usefull but are only good when close up and personal.
How to play smart and safely
Seting up how you play:

There is a turn base option or a free time option. Freetime option allow you to control the charater. This optional is more easyer then the turn base. The turn base system is like the one in Fallout 1 and 2. Choose witch one suite your play style.

Charater movement speed:

There are walk,smart run, run. Walking speed is slow and is a default speed for when a charater encumbered or the leg have injured. Smart run is a mix between the two. Run is as it sound your charater run's. Choose witch one suite you more.The three speed i mention above not including the default speed you can change it in the option setting in the menu.

Difficulty and Blood spill:
The diificulty set it to your liking. The blood spill you can set it from none to alot.

With the setting done with you can change them at a later date or time.



Playing smart and carefully:

Every mission can be done differently , first have a look at the map and choose the best route.
make sure that you have a pre-mission save and a in-mission to save to incase you mess up. Remember to use your squad skills , gear ,position and enviroment wisely. Also saving your game through out the mission would help out before you hit a hard wall in mission. As long you look at the enviroment , know your gear and the enemy abilaties then you should be fine 9/10 times. If you know the enemy location and map layout then you should try to flank the enemy if you can. This will help taking down big groups or more powerful enemies down more easier.

EX: your squad is dug in a hole and you have decent gear to use on the super mutants.
With the gear you have you can still kill them, it will just take longer. Remember the mutatant have to come to you to kill it unless it have a range weapon. Even with a range weapon he have to come to you still. With 3-6 gun aiming at the mutant you can kill him still with decent weapons.

Traveling in the waste safely
Traveling safely

To travel safely you need or are recommanned the following.
Having the what is listed below will make traveling the waste much more less
difficult for you and the squad.
-100% outdoor man skill to skip many enemie event
-have plenty/reserve of medic/ammo supplies
-if have a transportation vehicle then use it
-have a repair kit for vehicle repairs
-use vehicle to store your extra gear when traveling or to or to sell it at a merchant
Enemies early to late in game
Enemies:
The enemies below are the one that i encountered through out my game play so far. What i have written below is my experience and how i dealt with them.


Raider: The Raiders will at times have a dog with them . These raider are just like any other Raiders in the Fallout series. They will use light armor with a melee or small fire arm. Becarefull for the raiders that have the ak-47, hunitng rifle or a shotgun. Pick the ak-47,shot gun or hunting rifle up where you can find it. With them killing raiders will become more easyer. The raiders are a threat when they are in a group or if your team member is low on health when they are around raider that can kill them.

Dog/Animal: These animals are easy to kill. Just use any weapon to kill them.

Insects: These bugs are easy to kill . The only bug you need to worry about are the giant coucroach. These big bugs spit poison at you. It is recomoned that you bring andidotes to you to cure the party member status. During my game play i figure the shotgun is the best weapon to use on the bugs.

Mutant: These muntants are just like the one in other Fallout games. This bunch will be the first one to drop the big weapons ( lmg) and grenades . Their weapons will consist of melee weapons, use unarmed skill, explosize and big weapons. They can not use small fire arms due to their size.
The mutants try to out flank them if you can. If can not flank them then keep them at a distance to kill them.

Robot: This group cover humanoid to small robots. The detail for each type is written below. The robots you will encounter in the last couple missions before the the last mission in game. Remember to focus your energy weappn fire on one robot to take it down faster.

These humanoids robots are the last enemy group you encounterd right after the reavers in the missions. This bunch use unarmed skill and all type of fire arms. It is best to use energy and explosize weapons( missle launcher). They have alot of armor and hp. If you use non energy ammo you will have a hard time kill them. These robot will drop energy weapons and non energy weapon as well.

There are also loaders robots to kill as well. They have alot of armor ,hp and use unarmerd skill (loading arms) . To kill them just keep them at a distance and you will have no problem killing them.

The robot senterary guards they are smaller ones , they are about the size of a small security bot that float in the air. They are hard to kill still but are not as hard to kill as the bigger robot are.

The sentery bots are tiny spider bots that are small that use there arms to attack.Just think of them the spider mines bot the human bikers in Starcraft 1 can drop on the ground. When you come close enough to them they will pop up from the ground to chase after you. To kill them use melee or range weapons. They are a threat only when they get up and persnal to the party member.

Tank bots they are bigger then the loader bots .They have the same tactic. Look at loader bot info section above.

Flying security bot these flying bots are a problem. They have a limited supply of rockets and they use laser to. Try to kill them quickly. If kill them quickly you can pick up the rocket ammo if they have it on them. Use energy weapon to take them down quickly if you can. Also if you use the enviroment to your advantage they may shoot a rocket that hit a object witch they will take damage from it . As a resault they will be killed by the damage or be sereverly injured as a resault of it. They may charge at you to do a ram attak witch is not good so kill them at a distance before that happand. When they charge to hit you up close they may kill them selfs in a few hits just from damaging your team member.

Robot Turrets: These turrets are hard to kill just like the humanoid bits. The best way to kill them use energy,explosize at range to kill them. You can use small firew arms still but they are not as effective. The only effective small fire arms i find that can do some damage to the robots are the sniper rifle that uses the 7.62mm ammo .If you can flank them then do so. If they are in a area with a wall giving it some protection find the best way to kill ith them. These turrets uses 7.62mm rounds or rockets ammo. After killing them you will get alot of eithor type of ammo if you kill them quickly to get their ammo supplie. If there is a switch find it and turn them off if you can. After they are turned off then you can kill them to get all of there ammo. CAUTION: You may be encumbered if you pick to much ammo up from them. If you can and want to come back to the destroyed turret to pick up all the ammo after mission once you put the ammo in a safe spot(transoptation / BOS base lockers).

Behemoth: This robot is a giant like dung beatle robot tank. This bot way of fighting is use it gun on you while it soak up the hits to get up close and personnel to kill you. His hit are deadly. I reccomand that you have alot of energy/explose weapons to kill him at a distance. Also ducking in to cover when need healing is recommended. Have a medic close by to heal the team member. If there is no medic near by try to flee to a safe are where your medic is to heal the team member. Rember this machine is slow to move. If you can get him in a enclose space with a door way the width of a human then he is stuck unless there is a way the he can move around door like a open space around the door. Flank him by having you party focus fire from the direction North,east or south. THis way will keep him distracted . Beware there may be security bot underground around him so becare when using this stragy. If possible kill them quickly. To kill him use energy/explosive weapons to kill him. Rember to have more the 3 members shooting at him to distract him and to take the bot down faster. I can not tell you how importent it is to you to use the enviroment to your advantage when taking down this Behemoth.

Pacification bot: These big bots look like the Behemoth robots but not so bug like. they use fire arms in their front turret gun to kill their enemies. Look at the Behemoth description to how to kill them. you can kill them at a distance that offer you 0% chance of hitting them with in the gun range then do so if you want to. I know this sound bad but it work. You wil take this bot down gradualy when using energy weapons through. You will waste a lot of energy ammo doing this tactic. The plus side is that the party member survive with taking 0 hp lost and have reduce weight from using energy ammo.Just have patience and this tactic will work for me as it wil for you. This stratagy can be use on the Behemoth as well.

Death Claws: These death claws are just like the from other Fallout games. Just make sure they do not get to close to you or you are in trouble. They main weapons are there speed and their strenght. To kill them just keep them from a distance.

Reavers: These technology obsest enemies use energy weapons. They use llight armor. This bunch are powerful when they are in a bunch. Just remember not to get flanked by them. When facing them use your terrain advantage to out flank them. This group when you kill a few of them , they will drop the first energy weapons that you did not purchased or find in the game already. The reavers are only dangerous when they out flank your party or in a big group.

BOS warriors: These traitors you run across in a mission will use BOS gear. They can be hard to kill. To kill them just use any weapon to kill them. The one's that use power armor are harder to kill through. The BOS warriors use light to heavy armor. At times they drop usefull gear.

Civilians: these people are armorless and will throw or use what ever they have on you. They are easy to kill still. Just watch out for the stones they use on you. They will hurt you still

Transportation,reputations and supplies
Transportation

In game during the mission you will come as a hummer,APC(armor personal carrier) and other transportation. Once the mission is complete you can take and keep them at the base garrage. When you move from one base to another bring them to the other base if you want to. Some other transportation are like the M4 Sherman,humvee and the APC( armor personnal carrier). The M4 sherman you can find in Newton in one of the misson before you finish the game, you just need to find it and repair it. The APC can be found and used in the mission to rescue talon company.This APC can carry up to 6 people . The humvee is fastest of all transport and can carry 6 people.To repair the transportation you need a person with a repair box and a good repair skill. The humvee and APC can carry up to 6 people. The M4 Sherman or tank can carry up to 5 people. There is a dune buggie that you can get if you activate the mission and find it in the mission. Go to Bonus mission- Springfeild ode to the simson guide in the collection of guides on steam for this game to look up how to turn this mission on to get the this vehicle. If you activate this mission half way then you may be able to do it as long you have not passed a certain mission in game.There are more info in the person guide about it. The M4 can use tank shells that you can find in game or at BOS base merchants. Any transportation you want to use can hold a unlimited amount of items (ammo, medic item, armor, weapons,etc). Try to use a transportation vehicles like a humvee to pick as much loot from the mission during or after the mission to take them back to base to sell it for more BOS $$. It is recommanded that you have repair kits in the transportation vehicle with a crew member that have points in the repair skill. Once a vehicle is destroyed it is destroyed permantly.

note: to exit/enter a vehicle. To enter a vehicle click the person , press Ctrl then on the vehicle it self to enter it. To exit it click on the person, Ctrl then in the area around it to exit it. To get the group to enter/exit it you have group selected then press the same commands on the key boards as if you are doing it for 1 person.

Ammo , armor, weapon, medic supplies, money

Ammo : You can buy them through out merchants at BOS bases and other merchant in the waste land. Most ofyour ammo you will get by finding it through out the mission. By begining to game end you will be carrying alot of ammo if you pick up the enemy ammo off of there corpses in time.

With all the ammo you come across please pick it up and store it in a safe place . Incase if you run out of ammo on your main weapons you can fall back on to your reserves. Also if you save 10-30% of the extra main ammo that you have at end of mission and put in storage you can use it at a later time when you run low on it. Just remember to give it to them when they on low ammo or give it to some one in party to hold it(pack mule) when it is needed.

Weapons: Most of your weapons you find in game it will come across during the mission. You can purchase them at BOS base and other merchants.

Armor: Most of the armor you come by you will buy at the BOS bases. You may be lucky to find armor in the waste land to. The armor type that you have on will decrease or increase certain skill. There are differant armor out there that you can use. The lowest armor rating you can get is from the Bramin leather armor at the start of the game. The highest armor rating you can get is from the power armor witch you have to get to a certain rank to unlock to buy. It is recommanded that you get power armor for every one in the party for just the armor rating, carry extra gear (weight increase) , able to use bigger weapon that require a higher strength stat to use and just for the looks of it as well. Remember power armor is expansize so save up the cash for it and have a hight barter skill to help bring the price down when buying it. The armor you get after bramin armor will enhance or decrease your skill stats. Power armor increase and decreases your skill stats the most.

weapons/ammo: just as i mention above how rank and armor go it goes the same way with
weapons.The higher the rank the better weapon you get to buy from the base merchant. Barter skill still apply if you plan to buy from from the BOS base merchants. Most of the weapon and ammo you can find through out the waste dead enemies that you kill. Certain special weapons you will come across in missions on dead corpses or in containers ( the proto type emp rifle,mp40,sten, bren gun, laser gantaling gun,etc).

Medic supplies: During your travel you will come across them just like ammo. If you are low on medic supplies you can purchase them at the BOS base or through merchants throught out the waste land. It is very importent to have a constant supplie of first aid kits to heal your party.
Combine the doctor and first aid to heal the party member to get more hp restore at a faster rate.

Money: There are two type of currentcy in game. BOS $ witch you get at BOS bases by selling your extra items. Caps witch is the wasteland currentcy. You can not use BOS $ in the waste except at BOS bases. You get extra money by selling you extra gear that you do not need or go back to previous mission sites to collect enemy gear to sell. If you are doing this it is best to use a hummer to carry a unlimited item base to sell at base. It is importent to have a high bartering skill to get the most money from each item and to pay less for items.
EX: my leader barter skill is at 152% when she got power armor , she had to pay BOS $14,000 only.

Rank increase(reputation): as you do mission your fame will increase as you do missions. Your nature varies from good-neutral-evil depends on what you do just like in the other Fallout game's. With increase of your rank in the BOS better gerar be avaible to you. This is where the barting skill and lot of BOS $ come in hand if you have been watching both areas. Even with better gear at a discount , it does get expansive in the long run. In the end better gear will save you then your old gear you had since the start of the game.

Reputation(karma): Your reputation represent what your Karma or alignment would be in other Fallout games. This reputation is a resault of what you do . It will decrease(lower karma) or increase(increase karma) by what actions you do in the game. Your reputaion will effect what endings become avaible to you.



Mission type's
Pre MIssion:
-Before a mission make sure you a save file incase you want to restart the mission
-make sure that group have enough first aid supplies , ammo and have correct equipment

During mission:
-Have a save in game mission file during you do the mission
-save often incase if you mess up during the mission
-Load game file again if your party member dies . you do not want to restart on a charater that you raise to your liking now do you?

Post Mission:
- with mission complete you can go back to the place and loot more gear that you could not carry
-sell gear to make money and buy needed supplies for next mission
-once ready for next mission go and start it











Mission Type



Defend & ellimnatation: This mission type require you to defend a place for a time period and kill the target to finish the mission

Ellimnation: This mission require you to kill target to complete the mission

Crew rescue : This mission need you to find the team to rescue and bring them to a safe zone

Sabatage: This Mission type need you to destroy a object in the mission

One mission that require you to sabatage something is to destroy a robot repair/suppie base power enginess. These engines have a auto repair built in them. To destroy the all 6 of them you need 6 crew members to destroy them simutaneuless at the same time so they do not have a chance to use their auto repair abilaty.

Hostage Rescue : This mission require you to rescue a target . You can use steathly or go in head in to take them all on to rescue them

Find Item: This Mission require you to find a certain item
EX; find robot parts

Optional side mission quest: This will vary from mission to mission
EX: find documents, heal a person to recruit a mechanic

Each mission will have one or more of these mission type combine in a single mission.
This is a mission sample is one that i have finished recently .

-find the robot parts
-find the reaver encampment and eliminate them
-recruit the mechanic in town (optional)

Preparing for the last mission (spoiler alert)
The requirement so far to finish this mission
are the following from when i used to play it:
-have plenty of ammo ( bring plenty of rocket and energy ammo)
-have alot of medic items
-have skill in small,big,energy weapons
- have your crew fitted with power armor
-have needed supplies given to group . If you accept the mission you can go to safe spot in the wastland and give the need supplies to squad before heading to Vault 0 if you have not divided supplies to group already when you were at base.
-have enough fire power in your party to handle the robot hords and resitance on the way to the
caculator base.
-when going up hill take your time to take out the rocket shooter robots( robots that use rocket ammo) first. This will help the climb up much more easier for you.
-find witch path works for you ( i will show the way i completed the mission in section below)
i found using mainly energy weapon, explosize or emp ( electric manantic pulse ) weapons on the robots are really usefull when killing them. All other firearms are not that usefull when facing robots.
Last mission guide ( part 1) : geting in to vault 0 (spoiler)
This mission you have to transport the nuke you got in a mission to Vault 0 . You need a driver to transport while you advance to the vault door. When the detonate remeber to have power armor on and take rad-x before the dentonation. There will be a time set to get to safety. I will have another picture with numbers put on certain areas with what i did at them. Resault may varie for you if you follow my way of finishing the mission.Thing may not go exactly the same so do not complain to me if it works for you. It just mean that you need to rethink your stratagy just like i did many time in this mission. The way i finish this level is just a rough guide for you to follow or modify to your stratagy to finish this mission. Once the bomb time started in front of the vault you will have one minute to get in to the bunker room with the terminals to make sure all members of the team survive and get in to vault 0. any one out side the out side the bunker room with the terminals in them will be killed by the blast of the warhead.

So far what this is what i found handy for suscess in this mission:
-bring gause rifle, laser ganthiling , small fire arm / energy sniper rifle , missle launcher and lot of medic items ( first aid kit's and a lot of stimpacks in al sizes )
-using a focus fire and flanking tactic to quickly dispoose of the enemy
-always kill the enemy from a distance if possible
- if robot get close to you use energy weapons to focus fire on one enmey to take them down quickly
-save often incase you die or want to get the suprise first hit on a enemy
- make sure that all party members survive the mission
-have a small fire arm sniper to clear mines feild when spot the mines/ bring enough ammo for this task
-have a lot of energy ammo (4000 rounds max) / rocket ammo(90 max). this number works for me as i just like to carry alot and try to waste the enemy ammo so they come to me to kill them quickly. If you run out of ammo you can just pick it off of the dead corpses.
-pre-mission almost encumber your party member max weight like 1 to 2 pounds off of max weight carry so they run stil .your team member with the almost maximum weight will need not to pick up ammo from the dead corpses unless you run out of ammo off of dead enemies
- destroy all destroyable cover so that the enemy can not use it as cover. oil drum so not destroy unless you have to. Destroy the oil drum when a enemy is near by to do extra damage to them( do not be by one . the enemy sniper may hit them and potentialy kill the party member).
- with a entrench enemy or enclose in a building/cover ( map put in with how i finish the mission at a later date) remeber to focus fire and distract the turret to take it down quickly.
-there are supplie cashes on the map for you to use . just remeber to clear the area around it first to get the supplies safely
-the spider bot if can and you know where they are lead them to your squad so they can focus fire on them to take them down quickly
-the generators if you are not in the mood to kill the turret the hard there is another option. Just like in past mission there were switches to turn turrets off. In this mission you can find the generator's and destroy them. As a resault they will be shut off and you can pass by by safely.
-i move the warhead carrier vehicle slowly in to the area that i just cleared as i go up the hill.

My way up to Vault 0
1: Inside there are 2 security bots inside and terminals with info on vault 0. Have a look at the data if you want to. This is the bunker you get in to for safety when you activate the warhead at vault 0 door. Make sure all team members are in the the bunker room with the terminals( Bunker) for team safety. From the vault door area you can climb down the ladder at (7) and go throught the door in to the safe room. Make sure the area (17 , 20 and 7) is cleared before the party get in to the bunker for safety. When all team is in bunker make sure all team in the bunker.
2: In this area there are floating bots. Use cover to your advantage to kill them and the robots in area (3)
3: The are a horde of robots in this area. Just sit back and use area ( 2) to your advantage. Use this area to your advatage to kill the bot at guard station at (4) or to kill the bots on the ground/ hill are (6)
4: There is a bot at the guard station. Past the guard station the rode have mines. Use trap skill to detect them. Once mines are spoted use small fire arm to destroy them. You can use the road and cover in area to kill the bots in area (6).
5: There are mines in the area around the turret. Use focus fire to kill the turret quickly. If you want to no to kill the turret then sneak or run past the turret to destroy the generator to turn the turret off.
6: This area there are sniper robots on the hill. use snipers in your group to kill them. There are robots on the gound area below hill that will use there cover to their advantage. You can skip them as you go up the hill. You will kill them still as you go up the hill to vault 0 .
7: This area have 2 spider bots around the ladder. Climb down the ladder and travel through the hall to the room with the terminal for team safety to continue to get in in to vault 0.
9: Becareful if taking this road to area 5. This road robots from area 6 will shoot at you. Up ahead a bit more the turret from area 5 can shoot at you.
10: Just up past the road to 13 area there will be 3 entrench turrert . Try to find a way to snipe 2 out of 3 turrets. After that destroy the robots up past the 10 area rode. Now to deal with the last turret just focus fire on the turret from a safe distance that offer some cover like are 11.
11: In this open area robots from area 13 can shoot you in the open are of 11. The are some robots there that will fire at your team if they go in the open area of 10 to attack the turret and the robots there.
12: generator/ pacification bot
13: The cars and wreckage the robot will use as cover. Use focus fire tactic and flanking tactics to dispose of the enemies here.
14: Destroy the cover on this bridge and focus your fire on the robots on the bridge. Once that group is dead focus fire on the turret just a bit north of the bridge. If you do not want to destroy the turret just destroy the generator north of 15 to turn it off.
15: This bridge will have robots that use the cover there as protection. If possible destroy the cover and the mines by the bridge. Once the cover is destroyed now you can focus fire to kill the robots on the bridges. To the north there will be a generator to turn the turret off at 14 if you had not destroyed it already. On top of the hill there are hover bots. You can snipe them from a distance.
16:generator
17: Clear this area before you head to 18. This area you will face hover bots and spider bots and robots. Make sure the way from 17 to 7 is clear so your arty can get to safety quickly.
18: Destroy the cover so the vehicle can move through here once area 19 and 20 ic clear.
19: In this area there is behemoth robot, turret and a generator. You can destroy the generator to turn the turret off. In area 18 there is a ladder to can climb up to kill the behemoth. Before that happends there is a robot up there that you have to kill first. From this point a sniper should be able to destroy the turrets and the Behemoth robot.
20:By the vault door there are robots and hover bots. Kill the robots before moving proceeding ahead.Before the bomb timing begin to be activated make sure that all party members are in the bunker safe room . The warhead vehicle driver should be able to make it to the bunk safe area in a minute if they run to the bunker. If not then they will be kill in 1 minute out side the bunker.
Last mission guide (part 2) : inside vault 0 (spoiler )
After the bomb dentonation any one that was out side the bunker room with the terminals they will die . Once inside you must deal with the Calculator and his robot minions. The BOS squad in there will act as merchants. You can buy ammo, weapon and medic item off of them. This group will just guard the entrance while you have the fun and labouring part of the mission while the other squad have it easy. If any of the BOS squad warrior(not your party) die when they fight the robot past the door to the rest of the vault . You can pick up all of there items that they have as a merchant. If you run low on cash you can go and pick up the weapon and ammo on the dead robot to sell for it to cover the ammo/medic item cost. I am on this part right now.If you have followed part 1 so far i will put what i did in short description. Think when it is need to use flanking,focus or distracting tactics.You need to do the wings in the following : south,east and north to proceed to the next floor. Remember to use your science skill to unlock terminals that you need to unlock.
1-BOS squad act as a merchants and as help when facing robots in (2)
2-Use BOS squad if you want to. Robot horde in the hallway.
3-Robots in room. Use cover to kill robots in (4 and 5).
4-Robots in hallway leading up to (5).
5-Robots in room. Supplies lock in them as well.
6- 2 robots in this room by room with supplies in them.
7-Robots horde in room . They use their cover wisely.Use the cover to out flank them.
8- Use terminal to unlock east wing and door from (8) to (3) for direct path to (9)
9- Robots are in the hallway and side room south of (10).
10-Friendly vault dweler and robot in this part of the east wing.Do not kill the friendly people/robot in this room. Activate the terminal in this room before heading to (12).
11-Robots and turrets in room. There are dead bodies with supplies on them. Avoid this room and continue to (12). Keep this room locked unless you want the supplies in this room.
12-use vault 0 dweler dead head in (10) to unlock door to north wing
13-Robots and turrets in middle east side of room.
14-Robot in open area. Watch out for radiation that party may get. Walk close to the wall to reduce chance of geting radiation. Use medic item to get rid of effect in party if you have the item.
15-Kill the robots and activate both terminals to continue forward
16-Tank bot in hallway
17-Security bots are in this room
18-generators are in this room. Pacification bot and robots are in this room.
19-spider horde in room also locker with supplies are in this room. Be ready for the spider bot horde when they and other robots in this area when attacking your party.
20-Once the generators are on go to (1) go to the next floor. If you need supplies off of BOS squad get them now before to proceeding to the next floor.
Last mission (part 3): 2nd floor of vault 0 (spoiler)
I am on this part now. There is no pip boy map to post in this part of the guide. I will just breifly describe the room that you are to enter and what i did just like in the last 2 parts of this mission guide.

1st room: the elevator room
After finish turing the generators on in the first floor you take the elevator down to this floor. Heal the team up and reload all weapons. Do any other prep that you need to do before going in to the room a head of you.













2nd room:
In this room it is filled with robots on all sides. You will get a chance to talk to General Barkly in his robot form. You may have to kill him if you have to. I had to kill him. I first got my squad in to room 1 in to the corners.General Barnakywill attak you unless you have certain misc item found on his dead human body in a mission by the end of the game.By obtaining the misc item on his body and presenting it to him he will be ready to sacrifise him self to restore the vault system back to normal. I got this tip bit of info from a person name Talgaby. The general will come in to this room to attak my squad. I use squad focus fire tactic to take him down. To take down the robots in this room i use snipers to take most of them out while use the enviroment as cover. After 80% of the robots are dead from my snipers i use my heavy energy users send in with cover fire from squad to kill the rest of 20% of the robots. Out side of this room is a bridge that lead to a path to a 3rd room. In this brindge area there are turrets. Use sniper tactics while use cover to your advanrage.

3rd room:
You get to meet the Caculator. Before you get to his defances go up and you have to turn them off first to get to him.In this room there are 3 doors that lead to 3 sperate roo, that you have to go in to.Destroy all the brain cases near the Caculator terminal to open the door on the most left of the east side of the room. Use sniper tactics and use cover to dispose of the enemy in the rooms. first room on the left once enemy on the left are dead use terminal to get to the room north of it. Use a missle launcer or weapon to destroy brain to open the middle room door. The middle room have robot turrets and robots in them. Use snipers tactics and use enviroment to your advantage just like in the prevous room. Kill the brain in this room. Once the brain is dead the third room open use the same tactics and steps in the other two rooms. Once the three brains the sheild around the Caculator around is down. The Caculator will congratulate you for making this far. After talking to the Caculator you can make your choice.Go to the ending part of the guide to see all type of ending.
(ending) After final mission (spoiler)
After talking to the Caculator and killing the brains you have mutipul of ending to choose from witch ending your charater chooses from. I choose the good reputation ending as i like to play the "the good hero" this ending is usualy 9/10 always the best ending resaulting mostly every one being happy. The yuoutube video below will show all ending. The youtube video was made by domkex .I just found this video, he have the credit of recording all ending in one video for you to know what all endings are like. As in all Fallout games there are multipul ending's base on what facter you fullfill by game end.

1.Terminatig(killing) the Caculator or let the timer count down to 0.
2.let General Barnaky sacrifise his brain to restore the vault 0 system.
To get this ending you need to have some misc item found on the General Barkly dead body in a mission by game end and show it to him. He will then be ready sacrifise him self to restore the vault system.
3.poor reputation. You sacrifise your brain to restore the vault o system.
4.good reputation. You sacrifise your brain to restore the vault o system.

@Monkey Butt Gamer, In case you still haven't figured out the damage issue with the double barrel shotgun, the listed damage is per unit of ammo, so while the listed damage goes down, the actual damage goes up because you are shooting two rounds of ammo at once. So, single is 12-22 and double is 20-38 assuming both rounds hit. I think each round of ammo rolls to hit. All guns work like this, so if you see burst damage for guns, multiply by shots per burst. Each round is soaked individually though, so low damage high shot count weapons aren't as effective vs heavy armor.

I wish I knew what I am doing wrong since last year playing this game with explosives and trap skills. It is virtually all the time that I set a timer, prime a bomb and my characters just blows up while setting it down ground and not even what I have to blow up is affected. -_-; I used to be very good at this.

Ok the beretta 470 says it does more damage on double but it does 12 to 22 on single and 10 to 19 on double also just wondering when you speak to the recruits master what are the points that are on the picture in the top right hand corner it says the numbers then PTS.
