Character Attributes
Total Points Available at Level 99
AP = 490 (5 per level)
SP = 196 (2 per level) + 76 (4 per fame level) = 272

Character Stats
  • strength = +0.01 physical damage multiplier
  • dexterity = +1 defence aka dodge rate
  • dexterity = +0.5 attack rating aka chance to hit
  • vitality = +4 health
  • vitality = +2 stamina
  • magic = +0.01 magical damage multiplier ( does scale with spell damage )
  • magic = +2 mana
For survivability consider using defence magic as these spells are very useful:
  • Spectral Armor: -25% damage taken + significant defence bonus
  • Elemental Resistance: +75% resistance to a specific element
Character Skills
Weapon Skills:

  • +1 flat damage to that weapon
  • +1 accuracy to that weapon
Flat damage is NOT improved with the STRENGTH stat

Percentage-based Skills:

  • 100 dual wield = 95.83% & 91.67%
  • 200 dual wield = 97.73% & 95.45%
  • 100 critical = 37.5%
  • 200 critical = 42.85%
  • 100 spellcasting = 60%
  • 200 spellcasting = 68.57%
  • 100 block = 37.5%
  • 200 block = 42.85%
These skills have terrible diminishing returns beyond 80.

Spell Skills

  • Attack
  • Charm
  • Defence
Spell damage DOES scale with the MAGIC stat.
Self explanatory, each of these skills improves their respective spells base damage and duration by various amounts.

Damage Calculations
Defence & Attack Rate
hit chance = 100 * ( Attack Rating / ( Attack Rating + Target Defense Rating ) )

Weapon Animation Speed
  • slowest = 0.6 seconds
  • slow = 0.8 seconds
  • normal = 1.0 seconds
  • fast = 1.1 seconds
  • fastest = 1.2 seconds

Magic Damage
spell_damage * (1+(magic/100)) * (1+(percent_damage_dealt/100)) + flat_damage

Physical Damage
weapon_attack * (1+(strength/100)) * (1+(percent_damage_dealt/100)) + flat_damage

For melee characters, your primary focus should be to use weapons with the highest base damage, as calculations scale off that.

100 defence does NOT mean 100% dodge rate.

dodge chance is essentially defence vs hit chance table but for monsters.

100 def vs 0 hit chance enemy = 100% dodge chance
100 def vs 900 hit chance enemy = 10% dodge chance

the deeper you go the more defence you will need to dodge.

so you stop leveling at lvl 99 and renown 20
interesting to know

This is interesting to me. If Defence is a percentage, does that mean there's not point in having Defence over 100?

pure strength is a decent build

I would recommend atleast 80% of your points and up to 20% into VIT if you want to be a little tankier

once you get to floors 100+ the quest rewards give you large amount of stats, further boosting your STR / VIT by a percentage ( so stacking into one stat is ideal )

I dont recommend DEX as hit chance gear is easy enough to come by through gear

I'm surprised the Hit Chance is so low in comparison to the Attack Rating... I'm trying to build a pure Strength character so that means no leveling Dexterity...
