The villagers who serve as enemies (Ganado) in Resident Evil 4 Remake speak Spanish.

Castilian Spanish to be precise.

Its a big improvement since in the original RE4 they were speaking Latin Spanish.

Now they speak like people do in Madrid, or Toledo for example (basically all of Central Spain).

"Un forastero" - "An outsider"

"Donde Estas?" - "Where are you?"

"¡Te atraparemos!" - "We will catch you!" or "We will get you!"

"Sé que estás ahí" - "I know you are there"

"Ahí está" - "There he is"

"¡Eh, acá!" - "Hey, over here!"

"Agarrarlo" - "Catch him"

"No dejéis que se escape" - "Do not let him escape"

"Cuidado" - "Be careful"

"Puedes correr, pero no te puedes esconder" - "You can run, but you can't hide"

"¿Qué hacemos?" - "What do we do?"

"Debemos llevárselo" - "We need to take it to him"

"Hay que atraparlo" - "We need to catch him"

"Sigo patrullando" - "I'm still patrolling"

"No puede ser" - "It can't be"

"Ahí va eso" - "There it goes"

You remember the cutscene right after the first village fight against the mob?

Here is the translation of what Ganado say there.

"La Campana" - "The bell"

"Hay que obedecerla" - "We have to obey"

"El nos invoca" - "He is summoning us"

"Tenemos que servir" - "We need to serve"

"A lord Saddler Todopoderoso" - "To lord Saddler Almighty"
