Introduction
Hello, and I congratulate you for picking the magician for whatever reason despite the fact that the "4 preview class skill" didn't do anything spectacular. Maybe you knew something others didn't or you just wanted to play support class. Well, Magician can indeed support, but in my pompous opinion, magicians are excellent single target nuker who will melt enemy in a second with a given chance, and your foes will do well to remember that.

Without further ado, let's get in to the basics.
Dungeon combos(ugh, and disclamer)
Allright. Here is the thing. I don't even use combos in the dungeon. Bosses have tough mode and enemies stabs you at the back when you try that. Spam fireballs and dash attack until things die, get SSS because you are a magician.

As long as you use dash attack+backattack combo(it raises destruction by large amount if you maxed paira's blaze) and use rising spine every now and then you will get SSS even if you got your hp down to 20%.

1. Initiating your combos
That is just a fancy way of saying "get the enemy flat on the ground".

Best example is the double fireball- getting hit by those buggers 2 times will take the enemy to the ground. Strangely enough we don't have much useful spell on this area. Lightning if you can catch them off guard, double fireball if they are dumb and cannot dodge, I think hurristaff does some funky thing against the wide-arc attacking warriers, down iceball, etc.

EXCEPT one skill, and its name is Saving Magic. If charged fully, spawns 5 balls that hurts really bad, homing, and get the enemy on the ground. Only 2 or 3 hits are required to get the enemy on the ground, use them carefully because fully charging them takes really long.

2. Mana fountain
Mage's magic fountain is special, so why not give its own section? It is a single target "grab" skill that can be used on the enemy who are on the ground as well as target who is standing straight.
Unlike other grab skill of the other classes this does not throw enemy away, so at the end of the fountain enemy stays exactly where they are(on the ground they belong) and so are you.

Use this on the targets who are knocked down because this is tons of bonus extra damage.

It is not recommended to use them on the dungeons because some projectile(or fatal minibosses) will hit you after you finish casting.
3. Rising Spine
This is only attack of the magician that will get the enemy off the ground while giving you chance to use more combos. The real combos start while the enemy is in the spine. Pretty much all combos should follow this step.
4-1. Finisher(open ground)
Allright, Here is the thing. On the open ground, the enemy will literally fly away if they get hit once while they are attacked by the spine. It doesn't matter if it is (first) basic attack or down ice ball. Pick the strongest attack you have and use them.

My pick on the open ground would be this one.

initiated->fountain->spine-> hurristaff->fountain.

(Warning: following combos must be used with little time in between or last fountain will be still on cooldown. Time must be bought by letting enemy take some time on the ground.)

Another open ground killing technique is higher level one, but at least you can hit things after sufficient amount of practice..?

initiated->fountain->spine->lightning->jump cancel->atomic wave.
4-2 Finisher(near the end of the screen)
Good news everyone. While it was apparent that we could not continue to kill our opponent due to the nature of rising spine only allowing one hit on the open ground, it is not the case at the corner. you can hit however many times you like and you can juggle your opponents.

as long as you hit your opponents with spell that knocks them up you can hit them til they drop.

I will say that I am a theorycrafter, not a fighter. In fact I suck at duels. Hopefully someone who may be better than I can make use of those combos.
