Standard high speed fix

An easy fix for the high speed problem is to run some other CPU-heavy application that will slow down your PC and start the game. After that you can just alt+tab and close the other application and the game will have normal speed.

My launcher

The launcher I created works on the same principle as the standard procedure described above. After start it just burdens your CPU then launches the hitman.exe and after a few seconds it shuts down itself. Really simple and effective. For use just download and copy hitman_launcher.exe to ...Steam\SteamApps\common\Hitman Codename 47. Then you can create a shortcut to the launcher whenever you want and play Hitman through it. Only problem that could happen is that after running hitman.exe message "Failed to find Steam." appears. There is a simple solution to this - just copy steam.dll from Steam root folder to Steam\SteamApps\common\Hitman Codename 47 and everything will work just fine.

Notes:
If you find a bug or it's not working for you, please write a comment or message and I'll try to fix it. I've created and tested the launcher on my old laptop so if it doesn't work with newer CPUs I will have to make it even more CPU demanding for that few seconds before it shuts down.

Hi, I've reuploaded the launcher to a four different free filehostings. I hope at least one of them will remain functional for a while.

If you have an older graphics card (like I had back than) it doesn't always has the option to set per application settings like this. Yes, maybe you can use another application to force v-sync but you can also use this application which is much simpler and has the same effect. It throttles CPU for only about 10 seconds and then it closes itself so I don't see anything counter intuitive about it nor will the CPU temperature have time to rise more then a few degrees for a few seconds.

This is extremely counter intuitive, all that needs to be done is either open your graphics card panel and set hitman.exe to have v-sync and triple buffering or use a program that can force 60 fps or v-sync, there is no reason to throttle your CPU causing unstable framreate and unnecessarily high temps.

This fix applies for sped up animations, fast mouse movement and shaky camera.

This does help but if you're running nvidia you could just force vsync and triple buffer in the control panel.
