This guide is created for those who use either PS4 or Nintendo Switch Pro/Joycon controllers in this game.

• Install the following:
  - DirectX Redistributable (June 2010)[www.techpowerup.com]
  - Visual C++ Redistributable All in One[www.techpowerup.com]
  
• Download the DDMK from this repository here.[github.com]
  
• Extract the files (dinput8.dll, Eva.dll, Lucia.dll and Mary.dll) to the DMC HD Collection Directory.
  
• EDIT: Due to the August 1, 2023 update, download, extract and replace the exe files using the old version.[github.com]
  
• Open the launcher and select a game then enter DDMK settings (Ctrl+D).
  
• Go to System and make sure "Prefer Local Files" is checked (recent versions might vary.) then close the game. (Probably enabled by default anyway so you can skip this step.)

If you want to uninstall the mod, just delete the dinput8.dll, Eva.dll, Lucia.dll, Mary.dll, and "GData.afs" inside the "data" folder.

This mod replaces the Xbox button prompts within the DMC3 game only.
NOTE: Texture-related buttons will only show on English language option.

• Once again go to the game directory and extract the contents to "data/dmc3/GData.afs". If the folder doesn't exist, then create one.
  
• Run the DMC3 once again and it should show X for the PS4 or B for the Switch as the Confirm button.

P.S. If you suddenly want to switch from PS4 to Switch buttons, delete the "msg_eng.pac" file or else the Controls Tutorial text positioning would mess up.
