Introduction
On March 22, Valve announced Counter-Strike 2, a free update for CS:GO based on the Source 2 engine. In addition, the developers will improve the graphics, change the scenery on the maps, add a new tickrate system, and also change the mechanics of the smoke grenades.

The official release is scheduled for 2023, however, immediately after the announcement, the stage of closed limited testing by invitations was launched. To answer all the popular questions from fans, Valve has released an official FAQ for everything related to Counter-Strike 2.
Some details
How long will the Counter-Strike 2 limited test last?
Valve is planning to release Counter-Strike 2 in the summer of 2023.

Keep an eye on the Counter-Strike Blog for updates on the Limited Test and new announcements.

Can I use items from CS:GO in Counter-Strike 2?
Yes. All weapon skins, stickers and other items from CS:GO can be used in Counter-Strike 2, but during the Counter-Strike 2 limited test, players will not be able to modify their in-game items, including applying and scratching stickers, using trade contracts, etc.
You can change your items in CS:GO.
How to get acces?
Players are selected based on factors important to Counter-Strike 2 developers:
  • Total time played in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive, more is better,
  • Trust factor, it's better to have green, but according to official information from Valve, you can't find out your trust factor in CS:GO,
  • And of course by the status of the Steam account.
How to understand that I received an invitation and what to do next?
When you receive an invitation to a limited Counter-Strike 2 test, you will see a notification in the CS:GO main menu.

Click "Join" and the download of the game will begin. Once the download is complete, launch CS:GO and select Limited Test to play Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test.
Conclusion
If you just downloaded CS:GO, just started playing it, or played with cheats before, constantly kicked players from the team in matchmaking, or received a VAC ban, then your chances of getting into the beta test drop dramatically, so be kind to your allies, don't kick them, and don't play with cheats.
Good luck!
