Carapace [DISCONTINUED]

Kuvaus
Have you ever looked at the tortoises in RimWorld and wondered why can't you use their shells as a material? Now you can!

Supported mods:
Vanilla Animals Expanded
Turtles

Compatibility:
Tortoise Armor: Tortoise armor is made with carapace instead of tortoise shells. Tortoises no longer drop tortoise shells when butchered. Added a recipe to a crafting spot to convert existing tortoise shells to carapace.

R.I.P

Thank you so much! It felt wrong that such a great mod lacked turtles compatibility.
Romyashi  [tekijä] 16.4.2023 klo 1.42
@Lordlynel Added compatibility with Turtles and changed the stats a bit.
Lordlynel 15.4.2023 klo 17.03
Also, that melee cooldown stat looks way too powerful. It looks functionally similar to VE Insectoids Chitin, but that only drops from rare, dangerous insectoids (Queen, Royal Megaspider, maybe gigalocust and megapede?), not small, common, easily farmable prey animals.

Any chance of compatibility with the turtles mod?

@Romyashi IIRC when you create a new material the wall texture of walls made of it depends on the kind of stuffs it references.
Romyashi  [tekijä] 13.4.2023 klo 12.33
@Jesse I would love to do that, but texturing a wall pattern looks difficult to me and I doubt I would be able to do a good job with it.
J 13.4.2023 klo 12.24
Cool mod! Can I suggest changing the wall texture into a hexagonal pattern? If I'm not mistaken, most if not all turtles have an almost-hexagonal pattern on their shells.
roko711 29.3.2023 klo 17.19
maybe the wall texture should be more like bricks
Gubekochi Goury 27.3.2023 klo 16.54
That will certainly synergized funnily with stuffed floors!
