That said, kudos on getting up to 240 fps on a 1070! Sounds like you can squeeze some good performance from it still in 2024.

Tried all these boosts and they help a little, but still overheating after an hour or so.
Running Mods over standard doesnt help either as fill up HD pretty quick which stops memory cacheing which is why you get fade outs.
After lots of research - best option was to buy a new rig. Not that my old one was bad, just not good enough. Now running 4070Ti Super and a 2TB MX2 SSD and getting a constant 180-200fps set at all maximum graphic settings.

tried running on windowed bordeless, seems to works better with DX12?
but still with the recent summer heat, the performance is really unsteady
