IN-GAME TUTORIAL

Location

The tutorial billboard is located a short distance from the starting location.

Step by step

1. Place soil on a ground (terrain surface) - it can't be too steep otherwise you wouldn't be able to place it
2. Plant a crop by right clicking the soil with any seed in your hand
3. Take a bucket and fill it with water - this can be done by walking into water deep enough or left-clicking the water with the bucket equipped in your hand
4. Throw water from the bucket onto the soil with plant
5. (This step is optional) Use a fertilizer on the plant to make it grow faster
6. Wait till the crop fully grows
7. Harvest the crops using your Use key (by default set to "e") or by right-clicking it

CROPS
In this section of the guide, you will find all the crops with their grow time, as well as their grow time when being fertilized and their harvest amount.

There is total of 10 crops in the game, listed below :

*the grow times are in real life minutes (1 minute = 1 in-game hour)

Also, because of the long grow time that Broccoli and Pineapple has, it has to be watered twice (unless you fertilize these crops).

I have been given this information by lukaskita - big thanks to him.

Obtaining seeds

All these seeds are obtainable of course.

Carrot, Redbeet, Tomato and Potato seeds drop from both Green and Golden damaged crates. The odds of these dropping from the Green crate are 3.2% whereas the chance at the golden ones is just 2.8% .

However the Golden crates also may drop Banana, Orange or Bluberry seeds with the same chance of 2.8% .

You can also buy seeds from the trader :

Seed
Price
5 Banana seeds
3 Carrot crates
5 Orange seeds
3 Tomato crates
5 Blueberry seeds
3 Redbeet crates
5 Cotton seeds
3 Banana crates

*Each fruit/veggie crate contains 10 of the specific fruits/veggies and has to be packed at the packing staions.

As a bonus, or more likely said, ,,treasure,, or special loot, you can obtain 5 Broccoli seeds and 5 Pineapple seeds from Small chests located in the ,,Hidden room,, of the warehouses. This all depends if you can clear or rather survive the warehouse visit and if you can find and get to the room. And then also get safely out of the warehouse.
RAIDS
If you plant too many crops in one area, it will trigger Raid.

Don't worry, if you do so, alert message saying ,,UNATHORIZED FARMING DETECTED!,, will show up and above the growing crops will be displayed a red timer. The timer will show the remaining time to the raid.

The raid will begin at midnight (00:00) of the in-game day. The enemies will spawn near the crops and will attack them.

Keep in mind
The raid timer only appears when the raid is triggered and will not reappear if the world is exited. If you reload the world, the raid will happen anyway, without showing the timer.

Crop values
Each crop has its own value, which is used to determine if the raid is going to start, and how much enemies it will spawn during one.

Crop
Value
Carrot
1
Redbeet
1
Tomato
1
Potato
1.5
Blueberry
2
Banana
2
Orange
2
Pineapple
3
Broccoli
3
Cotton
1.5

Broccoli and Pineapple are High-Value crops.

Raid levels

The raid level is determined when it is triggered, not when the raid starts. Removing crops will not affect the raid level. That means, the raid will still happen even when there are no longer any crops.

The intensity of raids increases every night if crops continue to be planted. If there are no new crops being planted the intensity will reset.

Second night detection occurs between 4:00 and 5:00 in the morning.

Safe farming

Of course there is a way to farm safely. But in my personal opinion its best for the first few days. After you have some stuff you will need lots of component kits which drops from the enemies.

Safe farming is preventing raids from being triggered. You have to plant small groups located far enough from each other. The safe distance should be 256 blocks ( 1 stack of blocks ), which is the width of 1 world tile. Or they can be close, but each has to be in a different tile, and that's hard to know where exactly the borders are...

These are the maximum safe amounts per crop :

Crop
Amount
Carrot
9
Redbeet
9
Tomato
9
Potato
6
Cotton
6
Banana
4
Blueberry
4
Orange
4
Broccoli
3
Pineapple
3

While safe farming, you shouldn't plant new crops everyday. If you do this for a more days in row it will raise the farming intensity and will trigger a raid eventually even when planting safe amount of the crops.

If you trigger a raid by accident, you can use fertilizer to speed the grow. If you have enough time, you will be able to harvest crops before the raid starts. As i mentioned earlier, removing crops will not cancel the raid, but will get a level 1 raid, with only 3 Totebots. These are easy to kill...

As of farming '' in the wild '' - watch out for Totebots and Haybots, which can spawn close to your farm, in case it is close to your base (or the place you are AFK at - for example). They can also hunt the Woc (cow) and instead of hunting her down, they will destroy your crops.

To prevent this from happening, you should build some blocks around it as a protection.

ADVANCED
If your farm gets big, you can get tired of watering, planting and harvesting crops.

And yes, there is a solution, these 3 actions can be automatized. Watering can be done by water cannons. Planting and collecting can be done with vacuum pumps.

Watering

For watering you will need a Vacuum pump and a water container , and of course the water cannon or vacuum pump.

Simply just put a Vacuum pump into water with water container facing each other with the input/output holes and you are done. Now just hook up the water container and a switch or a button to the Water cannon with wire tool.

Don't forget, all these things have to be connected to each other somehow. You can connect them with blocks on, under or above the ground. Depends on your choice - but the underground is safer of course.

Planting

Planting can be automized byy a Vacuum pump with a chest next to it. There is an arrow on the vacuum pump, which has to be facing out of the chest. The Vacuum pump must face the soil and the chest must contain some seeds. Then you can simply press a button.

Harvesting

Same as planting. You just have to make sure the arrow on the Vacuum pump is facing in the chest. Don't forget - harvesting crops will also give you seeds. You will need more inventory space for this.

CONCLUSION
I hope this guide will help you with farming. If it does you can like or award it, or even share to you friends. I would really appreciate it.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate writing down a comment here under the guide or directly on my steam profile. I will do my best to help you out.

Anyway, have a good day and enjoy playing this game.

Happy farming!

you forgot to add that broccoli and pineapples need to be watered twice since they take twice as much time to grow as other crops
Defis  [author] 6 May, 2023 @ 1:12pm
that sucks bro, well at least you found out now, imagine it could take even longer :p

Bruh I spent 2 whole weeks in real life looking for the cotton then I noticed that I actually hat to go farther and look for the whole separate biome or I could just have looked for the seeds. 2 weeks wasted lol.

Yes, just as Claire said, you can just drop them and let them despawn, or if you are bit of an IT guy, you can change the stack size in the script files, as i did.
hotwheels_sisyphus 23 Apr, 2023 @ 5:07am
the easiest way to get rid of items is to just drop on the ground and let them despawn
Catatonic Ember 22 Apr, 2023 @ 10:01pm
Is there a way to destroy excess seeds that youll never use?
Defis  [author] 29 Mar, 2023 @ 11:37am
Yup
