There was bubbleweed available nearby?!
I swear, I haven't found a single growth of the stuff outside of like three places in the whole damn game.
Smart play waiting for the Rain to cause everything to flee though.

I made a big fat rage thread about that specific shitty pearl. Eventually got it by waiting for everything to start running away from rain, grabbing pearl, diving the fuck down, and using bubbleweed to survive getting back into a shelter barely in time, lol.
