Descrição
United States Railways with 24 Double Stack Containers and 2+2 Engines

Evolution Series Electric
The Evolution Series is a line of diesel locomotives built by GE Transportation Systems (now owned by Wabtec), initially designed to meet the U.S. EPA's Tier 2 locomotive emissions standards that took effect in 2005. The first pre-production units were built in 2003. Evolution Series locomotives are equipped with either AC or DC traction motors, depending on the customer's preference. All are powered by the GE GEVO engine.

After the nationalisation of private freight operators in USA, the new management requested General Electric to retrofit existing ES44AC into diesel-electric hybrid locomotive, as USR decided to electrify all mainlines in USA. As a result of this request, ES44ACE is born. The biggest change of ACE is the addition of pantograph, giving the locomotive overhead wire support and the extra compartment behind the cabin, giving it the nickname 'Bison'. Extra space for electrical components was stored in this new section as well as old restroom for the crew was modified to keep electronic components that are added. Locomotive retains its diesel engine function by keeping the prime-mover for non-electrified tracks.

United States Railways, the Lore
United States Railways is created by the federal government following the series of derailments and accident, including one with the nuclear waste spillage in Ohio, causing the evacuation multiple towns and rendering a massive landmass unhabitable for hundreds of years. The decision of nationalization was given with biparty support and all trackage, as well rolling stocks and operations were taken over by the federal government, and this new organisation was named 'United States Railways', or USR in short.

During the merge, Swiss Federal Railways was contracted as a supervisor to ensure smoothness of operations and as a result USR, is based on SBB model. It is a private entity, controlled by a board of members, CEO and all stocks of the company is owned by the federal government itself.

USR also have 4 separate branches; USR-Freight - handling all freight operations, USR-Passenger - handling all passenger lines taken over from Amtrak, USR-Infrastructure - responsible division of all tracks and maintenance facilities, and USR-Real Estate - handling station buildings, lands and future acquisition of land and properties.

As a result of this merge, a new labour law was also passed, requiring all employees to be part of a union, engineers can operate maximum 6 hours a day, removing the need to stay inside locomotives during off-work hours. PSR is also banned, locking train length maximum 400m or 1300ft.

Features
- USR version of ES44ACE 'Bison'
- 2 engines consist on forward motion, 2 if train is reversed
- Maxi IV double stack container cars, 24 units long.
- Container cars change order and repaint based on cargo type, that is possible via TrailerVariation mod by Access Violation. Container cars were also made by Nostrix, as a result of previous collab on DDAX.
- Directional headlights with Additive Shader.
- 1:1 scale, fits under R2 USA wires. .

Texture and Material Share
- All engines share the same texture to improve your RAM performance.
- The final load on RAM should be around 12MB, if you already have containers from previous release.

Lol the lore

Btw is there going to be a version with shorter trains?

Love this, hope to see other engines with this livery both electric and diesel.

This and especially your BNSF trains are really great. GP40 locomotives and yard slugs would also be really cool to see in Cites Skylines for people who want to make realistic American railyards.

Nice job on engine details and realism!

Would be cool to see these engines in a Conrail livery.
Have you seen the electrics they tested in 1975/1976 (they used the years as the road numbers) the had a similar feel but based more off of road switchers than the mainline wide cab units.

The problem is not the private ownership of the railways, but the state ownership of the highways and the extremely pro-car policy of the US government.

@Mango, Yeah, there's currently no limits on train lengths, which is why they've gotten rather ridiculous under PSR (that second train that derailed in Springfield, Ohio a few weeks ago was 212 cars long, if I remember correctly).

The length restriction was part of the nationalization, per @REVO's lore, along with abolishing PSR (because it is not "precision", it's not "scheduled" and barely qualifies as railroading). I'm sure the logic behind it was to ensure trains could actually fit in passing sidings, which has actually been a problem in recent years under PSR. Trains have gotten longer, yes, but the railroads have done practically nothing to improve their infrastructure to accommodate them, so trains are blocking each other more frequently, which is why service has deteriorated (all those supply chain shortages we've been having are partly the result of PSR).

Also, hello from a fellow Ohio-adjacent pleb (I live about an hour away from that dumpster fire).

I love the USR lore but I don't think there is a limit on train length, cuz the normal is 120 cars which is a mile and a quarter. Just curious, is that just for passengers or am I misreading something lmao? Gotta have this btw for my rural towns.
Also I love the details @evil.iguana added. I'm a state away from that incident if you are talking about Ohio lol

If you read the description I said, it retains the prime-mover and other major components
