Maybe there could be a way for the deep drill to perform better than the standard mineshaft? Would give reason to use it instead...
Although it's understandable, I think a lot of MO modders don't keep up to date with MO since MO updates quite often afaik... like the modder maintaining MO options menu, which was almost entirely integrated into MO in 1.5 (only 1 out of 6 features not included in MO).
It's an easy fix though! Save a local copy of this mod to your RimWorld/Mods folder, go into the... either the patches folder or the 1.6/patches folder, and delete any functions that touch the non-ore materials.
Also, @The Viral Divinity, I considered calling the "mining bird" a canary to begin with, and am aware of their history, but a canary is a specific type of bird and none of the textures from Medieval Overhaul's messenger birds look like one.
Not replecment.
And Long Range Mineral Scanner? Somthing like geoscaut post etc.
