On Good Friday at 9.23am, the pilot of a small private plane (Aéroclub Les Ailes Guadeloupéennes) missed his landing on the Rémy de Haenen runway. According to the airport management, the weather conditions were "completely normal" and "absolutely not unfavourable". According to various testimonies, the small plane arrived much higher than it should to land. The removal of the damaged plane took about 2h50. An investigation will be opened to determine the exact causes of the accident. The pilot and his three passengers were not injured.
