HELLO
I have recently been working on modding the game, and I have created a guide on how to install mods for the game here[github.com].
I just thought I should post this on the steam community so that more people can see it. Please keep in mind that the modding community for the game is very small (I think I am the only person who is currently modding it). I will make another guide on how to create your own mods which I will link here when it is done.
We have a thread in the wiki progress channel in the discord server for modding at the moment, so if you have any questions you can ask there. Or in the comments of this I guess. Hopefully this helps.

EDIT: the modding guide is now done, you can now learn how to create your own mods with this link here[github.com]
Note
By the way, it is possible to run a vanilla version of the game without uninstalling the mod loader, and it's pretty easy, but I'll explain how to do it on the github wiki page.

The mod I really wish for is for monsters to be resorted based on their zone, rather than the type of monster. Just so they're easier to find and identify which zones I need to go to, etc. Not sure if such a mod exists.

That and possibly an in-game indicator I haven't caught the monster yet.
