General remarks
I personally got 100% of the achievements, it took 230 hours of play. You can subtract 60 hours, they are spent to discover that the Immortal Cities achievement is broken. Now the achievement has already been fixed.

There are 47 achievements in total in the game. None of them depend on the complexity of the game. That is, to simplify getting them all, you can set the easy level of difficulty. In a campaign, you may have to choose between two missions. Peaceful, where you need to build monuments and military, where you will be attacked. To get all the achievements, you need all the missions.

Therefore, the sequence is this: go through the entire campaign. These are 40 missions divided into 9 chapters, for each chapter you get an achievement. After that, go to the mission selector and go through the 14 remaining ones (missions that you have already won are marked). You get two more achievements for the path of the warrior and the path of the architect. Then again go to the mission selector and find individual custom missions. There are 20 of them, go through them all. You get an achievement for custom missions and an achievement for all missions in the game. In total, if I'm not confused, you need to build 74 cities, for which you will receive 13 out of 47 achievements.

Another 10 achievements are cumulative: build 100 ships, get the blessings of all the gods, build 10 mastabas, etc. All of these achievements, except maybe (I'll check this later) the 100k road achievement, you'll get around the middle of the campaign.

There are 24 achievements left, most of them are simple. But you can not get them in every city. For example, an achievement for cats can be obtained in the city where Bast is the patron of the city. And the achievements for the pyramids are in the city where the pyramids are available. Some achievements require trade connections, which are not available in every city. Therefore, when starting a new mission, consider what achievements you can collect in it. For each achievement, tips are below.

Bugs. There were a lot of them at the game's release. A third of the achievements simply could not be achieved. A year of support and a bunch of patches corrected the situation.
Walkthrough campaign missions
1. Village Elder Pre-Dynastic Period completed. Complete the first three campaign missions. In fact, this is a tutorial. 1.1 - Nubt 1.2 - Thinis 1.3 - Perwadjyt. All are extremely easy. Achievement is obtained in just half an hour.

2. Royal Scholar Archaic Period completed. Complete the following four campaign missions. 2.1 - Nekhen, 2.2 - Men-Nefer, 2.3 - Timna, 2.4m - Behdet (military) or 2.4p Abedju (peaceful).

3. Chancellor Old Kingdom completed. The longest chapter of the campaign - contains nine missions. 3.1m - Selima Oasis (military) or 3.1p - Abu (peaceful), 3.2 - Saqqara, 3.3m - Serabit Khadim (military) or 3.3p Meidum (peaceful), 3.4m - Buhen (military) or 3.4p - South Dahshur (peaceful), 3.5 - North Dahshur, 3.6m - Iunet (military) or 3.6p - On (peaceful), 3.7 - Rostja (Giza), 3.8m - Bahariya Oasis (military) or 3.8p - Djedu (peaceful), 3.9m - Dunqul Oasis (military) or 3.9p Dakhla Oasis (peaceful). There are several missions in the Old Kingdom that are handy for completing several other achievements - see below.

4. Vizier. Middle Kingdom completed. The next five missions. 4.1m - Thinis (military) or 4.1p - Waset (peaceful), 4.2m - Kebet (military) or 4.2p - Menat Khufu (peaceful), 4.3 - Itjtawy, 4.4m - Iken (military) or 4.4p - Sawu (peaceful), 4.5m - Heh (military) or 4.5p - Bubastis (peaceful).

5. Pharaoh New Kingdom completed. Only three missions. 5.1m - Khmun (military) or 5.1p - Sauty (peaceful), 5.2m - Byblos (military) or 5.2p - Baki (peaceful), 5.3m - Rowarty (military) or 5.3p - Hetepsenusret (peaceful).

6. Kanakht Tutmesut Valley of the Kings completed. Missions from the Cleopatra expansion begin here. Only three missions. 6.1 - Thutmose in the valley, 6.2 - Tut in the valley, 6.3 - Seti in the valley. We are building a new type of monuments - tombs hidden in the rock.

7. Ozymandias Ramses II completed. Four missions. 7.1 - Sumur, 7.2 - Quadesh, 7.3 - Abu Simbel, 7.4 - Ramses in the valley.

8. Great Ancestor Ancient Conquerors completed. Only three missions. 8.1 - Pi-Yer, 8.2 - Migdol, 8.3 - Tanis.

9. Queen of the Nile Cleopatra's Capital completed. Five missions. 9.1 - Alexandria, 9.2 - Ptolemy`s Alexandria, 9.3 - Maritis, 9.4 - Cleopatra`s Alexandria, 9.5 - Actium.

10. Ruler on the side All standard custom missions completed. Go to the mission selector, to custom maps. Play those missions that are not sandbox. There are twenty of them. They are very different: some are boring, some are complex, some are funny. This will be a more difficult challenge than the last missions of the campaign, but on the whole you can complete them without overcoming them.

Difficulties may arise with the Two Cities mission (this is a lie - there are five cities). You need to build an obelisk, but there is no granite. You need to buy it. All trade routes are closed. From the third year of the game you will be spammed with demands for goods. At first they will ask for little, but gradually the volumes will increase to two full warehouses, so produce, buy and store everything you can. One of the requests leads to the discovery of the last city where you can buy granite, if you do not fulfill it, there will be no second chance. Therefore, everything must be done. I passed on the third try.

Another problematic mission is Hostile Nations. It requires a 100 culture rating. Previously, it was impossible to build a zoo there and the rating was unattainable. Now this has been fixed, and the mission can easily be completed in half an hour or an hour.

In two more missions, we are required to have 20k population in a limited area. There are more problems with unemployment; when it is high, new residents do not come. Build fire stations, a lot.

13. This is the way All missions completed.
Easy achievements - performed almost automatically during the campaign
14. Oasis in the desert 10.000 population in the city. I got it in Meidum while I was building the giant step pyramid. Even easier to get in almost any late game mission.

15. Blessing of the Gods You got all the different blessings. There are five gods in the game. In most missions, only two or three of them are available. Each god gives several types of blessings. In any case, at the end of each mission, when you have a lot of money and a good economy, non-stop hold festivals in honor of each of the available gods. Blessings come after each of one or two festivals. In this way, Achievement is easily obtained until the end of the Old Kingdom. At the release of the game, this achievement was performed automatically.

16. No road, no problem Have a cartpusher go cross country. Delete the road that the cartpusher is on. He will continue to walk without a road. If you have two separate parts of the city, the road between them will be full of cartpusher. Or build a remote area of the city with warehouses and production.

17. A pile of piles of bricks You built your first Mastaba. Completed in the mission Men-Nefer (2.2).

18. Negoce Make 10.000 debens of profit during a single year from trade alone. I got it before the end of the Old Kingdom. Get it automatically by building a good economy. Export everything you can, as much as possible. In a mission where there are many export goods and trade routes, the achievement is yours. Little tip - build some warehouses (6-8) next to the dock and fill them with export goods. This will get rid of the queues of merchant ships and speed up trade.

19. Wrath of the Gods You got at least one wrath from each of the 5 gods. The gods are often angry, so there will be no problems with this achievement. The patron god of the city will definitely throw a couple of curses before you build him a temple complex.

20. Useless Benefits Get a perfect flood blessing from Osiris with no farm built on the floodplain. I completed in Abedju (2.4p), where you can feed the townspeople with fish without building farms. But it can be completed in any mission where Osiris is available. Non-stop festivals - and we get the necessary blessing in a year or two.

21. Happy Disaster Have Seth Wrath destroy your navy while you have no navy. Easy to get in any mission where Set is available. The first is Timna (2.3) and then any military mission. Don't build any temples to Set until you get this achievement (you won't have to wait long). There should also be no military piers (they are not available in Timna).

22. One for the collection Build every monument in the game at least once. The progress bar for this achievement shows that there are a total of 35 different monuments in the game. you will still build them all by completing the achievement for all the missions in the game. On the release, the achievement is bugged, I got it when I built 10/35 monuments.

23. Overkill Deliver 4 different types of food to a Meager Shanty. Four types of food at the same time! If not everything is brought, the house will improve and the achievement will not count. Therefore, at first we build a lot of granaries, as well as warehouses with food, a lot of bazaars, we wait two or three years until everything is filled with a variety of food. Then we build several houses on the outskirts of residential areas. I got it in Djedu (3.8p), there is no problem getting four types of food in excess.

24. Alchemist Buy Clay to sell Potery, Barley to sell Beer, Reeds to sell Papyrus, Flax to sell Linen and Gems to sell Jewelery at the same time. The description is clear enough. This is what we do. Need the possibility of production and trade (not always available, we check before the start of the mission). At the end of the campaign, as a rule, they let you produce and trade everything you need.

25. Bacchanalia Throw a lavish festival for the same god every year for 10 years. It doesn't have to be just one god. Non-stop festivals!!! As a side effect - non-stop blessings. Your warehouses and granaries are filled with free goods, the people are happy and healthy, the pharaoh is pleased and the enemies are on fire. Don't you have a habit of holding non-stop festivals yet? Festivals are quite cheap and with a good economy it is not a problem to do them non-stop. For achievement it is more convenient if one or two gods are available in the mission.

26. Music to build Pyramids by 10.000 musicians have roamed your cities. Don't neglect music schools and get this achievement before the end of the Old Kingdom.

27. I'm all ears Listen to 100 citizens. Click on any residents. And so 100 times. There will be plenty to do while the Great Pyramid is being built.

28. Methuselah One of your citizen reached 100 years of age (and died). To automatically receive an achievement you will need: 1). big city 2). good healthcare system 3). A LOT OF TIME. Good luck.

29. You Must Build a Boat You built 100 different boats. The most numerous boats are fishing boats. Build fishing docks in all available places and get this achievement by the middle of the campaign. If you are a little crazy, you can demolish the pier and rebuild it, this will speed up the achievement.

30. King Midas Make 1.000.000 debens from your gold mines. Gold mines are more common in military missions. Build them anywhere you can. Build a palace closer to the mines.

31. A pile of piles of piles of bricks You built 10 Mastabas. You will build three mastabas in the city of On. Three more are in Abydos. One each in Mennefer and Iunet.

32. The Path of Progress Build 100.000 roads. This is very, very much. For one large city, 2-3 thousand will be added. When I finished the campaign and all the single player missions I had 77k. Then you can simply build and demolish roads (it took me less than half an hour to complete the missing 23k), or go through some cities again. Keep an eye on your achievement progress.
Average achievements. It takes some action to get it.
33. Fire in the disco One of your Fire Stations collapsed in flames. Fire stations don't catch fire. But the fire well sets fire to neighboring buildings. Therefore, we build several fire stations on the edge of the map and several dentists right next to them, for example. Wait a few years.

34. Balanced Diet Supply every inhabitant of your city with 4 different types of food (population >5.000). I got it in Djedu. It is better to perform together with the Overkill achievement. Everything is the same - the extraction of four types of food, a lot of granaries, a lot of bazaars. Plus, make sure that there are no remote houses without supplies.

35. Plebeians, plebeians everywhere! Your unemployment rate went over 50 % with a population over 5.000 inhabitants. Not difficult. Missions are suitable where you are required to have a population of 4500-5000. Build an economy. Make accumulations of debens and a stock of goods, keeping as little industry as possible. Build a couple of new residential areas until the population reaches 5000. If you do everything right, unemployment will be 35-45%. Demolish industrial buildings, bringing unemployment to 50%.

36. Edifis Watch an Architect's Post collapse. Build a few Architect posts in the corner of the map, with no access to the road or workers. They will collapse for a VERY long time. Therefore, it is best to perform in Meidum or Giza while building the pyramid.

37. Backyard view Have a (finished!) pyramid completely surrounded by houses. On the achievement icon, you were given a drawing of how to do it. Easy to do in Meidum or Giza. Build a small pyramid separately, and while the big one is being completed, build houses around. I did it in Meidum, a step pyramid would work too.

38. A long thorn in the side of the Nile Have the causeway for a pyramid complex be at least 50 tiles long. The pyramid complex is only in Meidum and Giza. I performed in Meidum. Place the pyramid complex as far as possible in the upper left corner of the map. The road will get in the way, so it needs to be demolished and rebuilt along the northwestern edge of the map. Both Meidum and Giza have enough space to get the required 50 tiles.

39. The internet is for cats Have 100 shrines, 30 staffed temples and one temple complex dedicated to Bast in your city. The temple complex of Bast can only be built if Bast is the patron of the city. This is in Bubastis and a few other cities, see the Temple Advisor. 30 temples of 150 debens each is not cheap, so you need to collect the cache before doing it. After completing the achievement, pet your cat for the glory of Bast.

40. Rends l'argent ! Pay yourself above your rank 10 years in a row. The achievement was bugged at the release of the game. It was repaired, but not completely. The achievement can be taken on the first playthrough, but cannot be taken when completing missions from the mission selector or standard single missions.

In order to get this achievement, I had to create a new dynasty (second) and go through the game to the city of Men-Nefer, where for the first time it becomes possible to set a salary for myself. Upgrade it by two levels (for reliability) and DO NOT build a mastaba for 10 years, so as not to win the mission before getting the achievement.

41. Food for thoughts Only provide your citizens with imported food in a city and reach 5.000 inhabitants. In theory, a simple achievement. Food is cheap, 5k citizens is not much. You just need a city with good expensive exports. At first I tried to get this achievement in custom missions, and I realized that the two neighboring cities from which you import food are not enough to feed 5k people. You need at least 3-4 cities selling food. And then I got this achievement in the campaign, in the Red Sea coast mission. I didn’t import food there at all, but I also produced all the food myself, so it looks like an achievement with some kind of bug.

42. This is not Caesar III Reach Palatial Estates without ever placing a single roadblock in the city. Another really simple achievement. In the campaign, for the first time, you are asked to build a Palatial Estates in Bubastis (4.5p). That's where I got this achievement. I built residential quarters and an industrial zone on the south bank of the river, and estates on the north. Six Palatial Estates along a straight road, at each end of the road there are branches with all the necessary buildings. I added new ones as needed. Most importantly, don't build a single road block.

43. Organized Mess Reach Palatial Estates with bazaars only distributing one resource at a time. Probably bugged. Write in a comment if you received this achievement, or if you were not given it when all the conditions were met.

I googled this method and it worked for me. I describe it point by point:

1). The city of Bubastis, or any other city, where there is access to three types of food and two types of luxury goods. It's easier in Bubastis. The general plan is this: on the southern bank of the river we are building housing for workers and industry, on the northern bank an elite area.

2). First we are building the southern coast, but without markets. We need some residential buildings, production and export of papyrus and wood for profit. If desired, you can build 2-4 markets, specifying for each the sale of only one type of goods - food and pottery. Remember the location of each of these markets.

3). On the northern shore we are building a block of eight markets, and each one is given only one type of goods - we need three types of food, two types of luxury, pottery, beer and linen. We build 1-4 estates, statues, all the necessary stuff for the purchase/production of consumable goods, warehouses for them.

4). When the houses develop into palatial estates, we do the following: first we demolish all the markets, except eight at the estates (if you don’t have them, then this whole point is not needed). Then we demolish one or more estates and build them again. This is necessary because the achievement check is triggered only at the moment of evolution of the estate to a palatial, and at this moment you need to have no more than eight markets.

44. Ride now, ride now, ride! Ride for ruin and the world's ending! Start a battle with 6 full charioters companies and crush your enemies. Probably bugged. Write in a comment if you received this achievement, or if you were not given it when all the conditions were met. Chariots become available only in the New Kingdom. In peaceful missions, you may never be attacked. To build chariots, you need wood and copper (128 units each for 8 full forts). These are expensive resources, so either produce them or build a good export economy.

Hard achievements. I'll have to work hard.
45. Social Ladder Have at least one of each of the 20 levels of houses in your city at the same time. Can be obtained in Bubastis, New Kingdom or later. Previously, you will not be able to build a lvl20 noble estate. You will need: 3-4 residential districts with 2*2 tiles houses, and two districts with noble estates, 8 estates each. As well as several detached houses of the 1st and 2nd levels, so that there are also. Build everything as usual for an ideal city, except for statues, gardens and a plaza. By demolishing decorations, we will degrade some houses. Also, to worsen a residential building, you can build an industrial building nearby. We constantly check with the adviser on granaries. It displays the houses of what levels we have.

46. Quench your thirst Supply 10.000 people with only one Water Supply for a year. It's not difficult if you know how. Force will help us with this, but not the dark or light side, but force walking. I learned this secret from the Book of the Dead papyrus, and I tell it to you:

1. Place separate road tiles, either two or one square away from each other, so that they do not touch.

2. We build a water source, but in a special way. Green shows the delivery man exit, where he leaves the building, red shows the entrance, where he returns and enters the building. We need to find a position for the water source where the entrance and exit will not be in the same tile, and not in adjacent ones. Afterwards, remove the extra road tiles.

3. Connect the input and output with a loop. The road winds, covering a huge area, the main thing is that there is no shortcut. The delivery person will walk as far as you want. We applied the ancient Egyptian force to him. How do you like that, Skywalker? Statues next to the water source will improve it, and more delivery people will come out, but this is not certain.

47. Immortal Cities Rule a city for 100 years without ever dropping the population below 10,000. At the game's release, they asked us for 1000 years, and I spent 60 hours of my life to find out that the achievement was broken, lol. (I at least watched the training videos in the background, so I'm not completely lost). After several patches, the achievement became easier, and most importantly, it works. Choose any city you like, with a population of 15-20k (so as not to drop below 10k), and skip the time at 5x speed. You will already spend several decades on missions with the pyramid complex.

And for Bacchanalia - I did not got it by throwing non-stop festivals. What worked for me is to hold it every year in the same month

For anyone who, like me. had troubles with the Alchemist. You should specifically export finished goods, not sell through the bazaars.

Can't get Food for thoughts achievement.( It upsets me =(
upd: Just got it. I have found the information that it can be unlocked at the map without meadow farms so Cleopatra's Alexandria worked just fine. Imported food, 5k people and voila!
To the author of the guide: you can update the guide with this info if you'd like.

Building roads in a long line next to each other over and over again will get you 100,000 roads way faster. One click can get you like 100 or more roads because it counts the links to other roads towards the total.

Damn, cannot got the 100%, i'm stuck at 98%. Even if i completed 3 times the Cleopatra's Capital 5 missions, it won't give me the Queen of the Nile achievement.

I can't get the Bacchanal achievement. I tried to do this with one or two gods. I start in January. The festival takes place in March. I'm doing a new luxury festival in March. And so for 10-12 years, but the achievement is not given. What am I doing wrong? Is this a bug?

"Happy Disaster" doesn't work for me on the missions only with Forts (like Timna). Seth does nothing, citing the lack of military buildings.

Yup, just got it

You can save/load your game to get Immortal Cities achievement.
Pazdzioch 2 May, 2024 @ 9:39am
Im assuming Immortal Cities wont work with saving/loading the game. It has to be in one go right?
