This game is full of nightmares, but unlocking all its achievements can also be a nightmare, so here is a guide to help you with that. This guide is based on developer answers on how to get some of the achievements, the developer's guide and my own playthrough.

This guide focus primarily on the steps you need to follow to unlock achievements. If you get stuck or can't figure out what to do next, please refer to the developer's guide or the video guide.

P.S. Every time I mention in this guide that you should go speak to the punk outside the pharmacy and choose to be a tough guy, make sure you have the iron pipe in your inventory, so the outcome will be as expected. Now for the achievements.

Solve your first puzzle!




This is the very first achievement you will unlock in the game, while you're still at home. To do so, walk upstairs and go to the study, pick up the moving box, then go back downstairs and use the moving box on the bookshelf to pick up the house key. I don't remember if that's when this achievement unlocks. If not, use the house key on the front door and the achievement will unlock.

Spied on Harris




After you get the snake camera from the guy in office 202 in the old block, use it on the ladder inside the janitor's office in the old block.

End up on your mentor's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥




This achievement will unlock when you've talked to your mentor in the old block, after the meeting in meeting room 01.

Played it safe instead of giving Grace a pill




Upon returning home from work on the second day, you will be given the choice of whether or not to give Grace a pill. Choose "More research is needed" to unlock this achievement.

Gave Grace an unkown pill




Upon returning home from work on the second day, you will be given the choice of whether or not to give Grace a pill. Choose "Offer Grace a tablet" to unlock this achievement.

Decline to have an affair




You will only have the choice of whether or not to have an affair with your neighbor if you gave Grace a pill. When your neighbor calls you, choose "Decline affair" to unlock this achievement.

Have an affair




You will only have the choice of whether or not to have an affair with your neighbor if you gave Grace a pill. When your neighbor calls you, choose "Have affair" to unlock this achievement.

Beat the punk into eternal submission




Choose not to give Grace a pill. Pick up the iron pipe from the garage, then go downtown and enter the pharmacy. Speak to the pharmacist there, then speak to the punk outside the pharmacy and choose "Be a tough guy" for this achievement to unlock.

Conspire with the punk




Choose to give Grace a pill. Choose to have an affair with your neighbor. When caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block, choose "Try to plea". When speaking to the punk outside the pharmacy, choose "Warn of poison" for this achievement to unlock.

Find the lost locket




Please refer to this guide to learn how to find the 6 keys. You will need them to open a mysterious door in the park in the downtown area. When you enter through this door and retrieve the locket, this achievement will unlock.

Reach the True Ending




When you've found the lost locket, keep playing until the end and this achievement will unlock, unless you reach a premature ending.

Cut your journey short by dying




You need to reach a premature ending for this achievement to unlock. Premature endings result in your character's death, and there are many possible premature endings in the game. The official guide made by the developer covers them all.

Attended the house warming party




Go to the apartment building downtown and speak to the couple in apartment 403. Do this every time after waking up until this achievement unlocks.

Used the fishing rod




This achievement can be unlocked regardless of whether you gave Grace a pill or not. You will reach a point in the game where you won't be able to enter your house through the front door. Enter the garage instead and use the fishing rod on the ladder. The fishing rod can be found in the police station parking lot.

Delivered drugs to Dawn




This achievement can be unlocked regardless of whether you gave Grace a pill or not, but if you did, you must decline the affair with your neighbor.

If you did give Grace a pill: the fastest way to get this achievement, if you declined the affair, is to go to sleep and, when you wake up, speak to Grace and then go downstairs to interact with the phone. Then pick up the iron pipe from the garage if you haven't already, go to work and speak to the receptionist. Then go downtown, enter the bar and speak to the bartender. Exit the bar, speak to the punk outside the pharmacy and choose "Be direct". Then go back to work and deliver the drugs to the receptionist. Achievement successfully unlocked!

If you didn't give Grace a pill: the fastest way to get this achievement is to pick up the iron pipe from the garage if you haven't already, go downtown and enter the pharmacy, speak to the pharmacist and then choose "Be a tough guy" when speaking to the punk. After killing him, interact with his dead body. Then use the key you stole from him on the black van and pick up the drugs. Then go back to the pharmacy, pick up Grace's medication, go back home, give the medication to her and go to sleep. When you wake up, speak to her and then go downstairs to interact with the phone. Then go to work and deliver the drugs to the receptionist. Achievement successfully unlocked!

Hit the gym




This achievement unlocks when you use the leg exercise machine in the gym on the second floor of the modern block. You will be able to do so after you've spoken to the junkie sitting on the floor of an apartment on the fourth floor of the apartment building in the downtown area. He asks you to bring him a chemical inside a red cylinder in exchange for a syringe. If you need help, please refer to the developer's guide.

Smuggled controlled substances for drug dealers




If I recall correctly, this achievement unlocks when you deliver the red cylinder to the junkie, as mentioned above. Feel free to correct me on this one if I'm wrong, but considering the order in which my achievements unlocked, I'm pretty sure I'm right ;)

Found Stinky Pete




Give Stinky Pete a pill when you get to work on the second day. Later on, you will have to enter the sewers on some story branches. Before doing so, pick up the skull of Zanzibar from the occult book shop in the alley downtown. In the sewers, use the skull on the locked door you can find there, then enter and use a pill in the center of the room. Interact with Stinky Pete and... voilà, achievement unlocked!

Escaped the sewers




This achievement is also related to the sewers, just like the achievement above. You need to find your way out of the sewers. For me, this achievement unlocked after doing this: I didn't give Grace a pill. I chose to be a tough guy and killed the punk with the iron pipe, then searched the black van. When caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block, I chose "Try to fight". Then I chose to mention the nightmares in meeting room 01. Then I chose "Help Doris". Then I chose "Shoot up drugs". After the cutscene, you will find yourself in the sewers. You have 5 minutes to find the ladder and exit, which will unlock this achievement.

Killed a police officer




Follow the same steps as the achievement above, but instead of choosing "Shoot up drugs", choose "Kill a cop".

Prepare a long-pig dish




Follow the same steps as the achievement Sewer Rat (again). After choosing "Try to fight" and killing Harris, carry his dead body down to the canteen on the second floor of the modern block and enter the kitchen.

Do Doris' bidding




Follow the same steps as the achievement Sewer Rat (yes, again!). After choosing "Help Doris", you can choose either "Kill a cop" or "Shoot up drugs". This achievement will unlock when you speak to Doris in your office after helping her.

Stayed with Grace




Fastest way to get this achievement: Choose not to give Grace a pill. Choose "Be a tough guy" when speaking to the punk and kill him with the iron pipe, then search the black van. Choose "Try to plea" when caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block. Choose "Play dirty" when imprisoned by Harris. Choose to stay quiet about the nightmares in meeting room 01. Choose "I need to rescue Grace!". Then choose "Stay with Grace".

Put yourself first




Follow the same steps as the achievement above, but instead of choosing "I need to rescue Grace!", choose "I need to focus on my career". Spoiler: She will be very mad at you!

Deceived Harris




Don't be deceived by those "Deceive" dialogue options. This achievement will actually unlock when you choose to lie to Harris in office 304 in the modern block. Follow these steps: Give Grace a pill. Decline the affair with your neighbor. Choose "Be direct" when speaking to the punk outside the pharmacy. Choose "Try to lie" when caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block. Wait until the cutscene ends. Enjoy your new achievement!

Get your comeuppance




Follow the same steps as the achievement above. Later on in the game, after having lied to Harris, you will need to enter meeting room 01 where there will be people waiting for you. That's when this achievement will unlock.

Offer vagrant a bed in the research ward




Don't give Grace a pill. Choose to be a tough guy when speaking to the punk outside the pharmacy, then search the black van. Choose "Try to plea" when caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block. Choose "Stay quiet" when imprisoned by Harris. Choose to stay quiet about the nightmares in meeting room 01. Then choose "Agree to pay" when Harris calls you in your office. And last but not least, choose "Offer a spot on the medical trial" when speaking to the homeless man in front of the liquor store.

Cause the death of your mentor




Follow the same steps as the achievement above. After choosing "Agree to pay", go back home and wait until the cutscene ends.

Force Grace to take medication




Follow the same steps as the achievement Messiah. After choosing "Offer a spot on the medical trial", I believe you can choose either "Force syringe on Grace" or "Test syringe on homeless first". I chose the latter and this achievement unlocked for me, although its description implies otherwise.

Make some very poor choices




Follow the same steps as the achievement Messiah, but instead of choosing "Stay quiet" when imprisoned by Harris, choose "Do something vile". Spoiler: By doing this, you are offering your terminally ill wife to be raped by Harris. Something tells me that karma will make you someone else's b**** in the end!

An ending befitting your actions




This achievement is your punishment for doing something (really) vile, as described in the achievement above. After choosing "Do something vile", keep playing until the end to get what you deserve.

Posed as a private investigator




Give Grace a pill. Have an affair with your neighbor. When speaking to the crying woman sitting on the steps of the apartment building downtown, choose "I don’t know your husband", then "I’m a private investigator", and then "Keep the lie going".

Located Dave




Fastest way to get this achievement: Give Grace a pill. Have an affair with your neighbor. When speaking to the crying woman sitting on the steps of the apartment building downtown, choose "I’m a good friend of Dave’s". When speaking to the elderly woman by the broken-down car, choose "Let me see what I can do", and then "Lie and steal car part". Keep playing until you find Dave's corpse. Interact with it and this achievement will unlock.

Listened to music that brought your back




You can follow the same steps as the achievement above. Before finding Dave's corpse, you will find his portable CD player. Go to the Quick Shop and use it on the clerk.

Help the occult shop owner prepare a love potion




Fastest way to get this achievement: Give Grace a pill. Decline the affair with your neighbor. Choose "Be direct" when speaking to the punk outside the pharmacy (you can choose the other options too, but this one is faster). Choose "Try to fight" when caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block. Then choose "Try to recall email" when interacting with Harris' computer. Then mention the nightmares in meeting room 01. When the IT guy calls you in your office, choose "Agree". Now you can either pay for the sandwich or leave without paying, it doesn't matter. When you've gotten the black goo, go to the occult book shop and have that mysterious man prepare the potion for you.

Stole a Sandwich




Follow the same steps as the achievement above, just don't pay for the sandwich.

Planted a car bomb




Follow the same steps as the achievement The Love Potion, but instead of choosing "Try to recall email" when interacting with Harris' computer, choose "It's too risky, Harris could return any moment". Then stay quiet about the nightmares in meeting room 01.

Gave the detective a pill for your freedom




Don't give Grace a pill. Choose to be a tough guy when speaking to the punk outside the pharmacy, but do NOT search the black van afterwards. Choose "Try to plea" when caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block. Choose "Stay quiet" when imprisoned by Harris. Then mention the nightmares in meeting room 01. When interrogated by the detective, choose "Confess", and then "A tablet for my freedom? Sure!".

Test medication on Harris first




You can follow the same steps as the achievement above, but instead of mentioning the nightmares in meeting room 01, don't mention them. Then choose "Deceive" when Harris calls you in your office. This achievement unlocks after you give the hard liquor mixed with the homeless woman's blood and who knows what else to Harris and he dies.

Caused distraction to enable your escape




For this achievement to unlock, you need to spy on Harris after you get the snake camera from the guy in office 202 in the old block. Please refer to the achievement Peeping Tom. Do that first, then follow these steps (the fastest way): Give Grace a pill. Have an affair with your neighbor. When speaking to the crying woman sitting on the steps of the apartment building downtown, choose "I’m a good friend of Dave’s". When speaking to the elderly woman by the broken-down car, choose "Let me see what I can do", and then "Lie and steal car part". Choose "Do something vile" when caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block. Stay quiet about the nightmares in meeting room 01. Then choose "Refuse" when the detective calls you in your office, although the description of this achievement implies the other option is the right one.

Gave up Ms. Jones




For this achievement to unlock, you need to spy on Harris after you get the snake camera from the guy in office 202 in the old block. Please refer to the achievement Peeping Tom. Do that first, then follow the same steps as the achievement above. After choosing "Do something vile" when caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block, wait until the cutscene ends. I don't remember if this achievement unlocks after the first or second cutscene.

Outwitted the detective




For this achievement to unlock, you need to spy on Harris after you get the snake camera from the guy in office 202 in the old block. Please refer to the achievement Peeping Tom. Do that first, then follow the same steps as the achievement Necessary Measures. After choosing "Do something vile" when caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block, you will reach a point in the game where you will need to use a blood sample vial on the detective’s car seat. Do that to unlock this achievement.

Escaped the police station




There are probably more ways to get this achievement, but you can follow these steps: Give Grace a pill. Have an affair with your neighbor. When speaking to the crying woman sitting on the steps of the apartment building downtown, choose "I’m a good friend of Dave’s". When speaking to the elderly woman by the broken-down car, choose "Let me see what I can do", and then "Lie and steal car part". Choose "Try to plea" when caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block. When speaking to the punk outside the pharmacy (use the bag of poisoned drugs on him), choose "Stay quiet about poison". The developer's guide mentions the options "Poison Harris" and "Don’t poison Harris", but I never encountered those options in-game. If I recall correctly, after choosing "Stay quiet about poison", I went back to work and spoke to Harris in his room in the old block. Then I collected the blood samples from the animals and then from Grace and used them on the blood testing machine. Then I think I stayed quiet about the nightmares in meeting room 01, and then stumbled upon the punk in the company's parking lot. Then I chose "Admit your deeds", and then "Time to leave". After getting arrested, interact with your cellmates until they start fighting. After the cutscene, you will be able to escape. I'm not sure if these steps are 100% correct, so feel free to correct me. I'm a bit lazy to check this by myself in-game.

Killed the undercover cop with shotgun




You can follow the same steps (hopefully they are correct) as the achievement above, but instead of choosing "Time to leave", choose "No witnesses".

Used the research reactor




I believe this achievement unlocks with either Harris or Ms. Jones in the reactor chamber. For me, it unlocked with Ms. Jones. Follow these steps: Give Grace a pill. Have an affair with your neighbor (Ms. Jones). When speaking to the crying woman sitting on the steps of the apartment building downtown, choose "I’m a good friend of Dave’s". When speaking to the elderly woman by the broken-down car, choose "Let me see what I can do", and then "Lie and steal car part". Choose "Try to bribe" when caught by Harris in office 304 in the modern block. Stay quiet about the nightmares in meeting room 01. When speaking to Ms. Jones at your workplace, choose "Lie to get Ms. Jones out of here". Then interact with the reactor panel. This achievement unlocks after the cutscene.

Did some work on the elevator




I believe this achievement unlocks with either the detective or Ms. Jones inside the elevator. For me, it unlocked with Ms. Jones. Follow the same steps as the achievement above, but instead of choosing "Lie to get Ms. Jones out of here", choose "Gently turn down Ms. Jones". You have 5 minutes to finish the "work" on the elevator. If you need help figuring out what to do next (you'll probably need help), pleaser refer to the developer's guide.
