Hints for finding some of the secret areas
By Godlyvex
I had trouble finding some of these areas, so I decided to make a guide with a few hints.

General Hints
Once you've beaten the game, the world really opens up. Here are some extremely general hints that will help get you into the mindset of finding new areas, even if you do not necessarily want direct hints.

In this guide, spoiler text near the top will be more vague, while hints near the bottom start approaching spoiler territory. This guide assumes you've beaten the game, and does not provide hints FOR beating the game.

Pay attention to the general coloration and design of areas. When exploring the map from above, try identifying areas you've been to, and if you can't identify something, think about how you might get there when exploring from within the labyrinth.

Sometimes there are holes on the outside of the labyrinth that allow you get inside, which can skip a lot of wandering if you aren't yet acquainted with every single route. It can even let you get inside areas you haven't found the "correct" way.

The 3x3 holes scattered across the top of the map can provide access to several helpful locations.

You can look at hidden achievements on steam by showing global achievement statistics. Achievements' names and icons can help figure out the coloration and theme of areas you haven't yet completed.

There is a puzzle behind the painting at the top of the tower. I missed this, and it is pretty important to get.
Hue Room
The rooms with the 3x3 holes in the ceiling have a function you may not have figured out yet.

The function does not always work at every single one of those rooms.
The function activates when you stand under the yellow block.

When you stand under the yellow block, you are transported to another room that looks similar. These rooms act similar to paintings, where they allow one-way travel. The room you're seeking is primarily accessed by going through one of these yellow block rooms.

You need to use a yellow block room marked by 5 dots.

There is a 5 dot yellow block room located in the crossroads, behind an orange passageway, between the garden (NOT the hedge maze) and the crossroads (the yellow area)

Champions Rest
This area requires completing the Hue Room.

The Hue Room has various colored pillars. These pillars open more pillars scattered throughout the game.

Solving the pillars scattered elsewhere should open up more pillars in the hue room.

If the previous hints were not enough, I can give one more hint, but it breaks the puzzle and is cheesy. Don't look at the next hint unless you want to skip hunting around for all of the colored pillars.

You can simply solve the puzzles in the hue room through the wall. Look at the hue room from above, outside the map, to know where the pillars would be, and what color to put in.
Brown Puzzle Area
Some might not consider this area a secret, but it's pretty hard to find either way, and isn't required, so I'm including it in this guide.

It can only be accessed by jumping through a painting.

You can see the painting near the Cross Tower.

Counterintuitively, you can not get to this area from Cross Tower. You have to start from inside the labyrinth.

You can get to the room with the painting from the purple area. It's through a wall you can walk through.
Tower Basement
This area unlocks after getting "The Master" achievement.

After ascending the orange tower, you can jump down the hole in the middle of the room with all the paintings. This area really isn't that hidden, I just had trouble finding it because I never found the "The Master" panel.
Pilgrimage
Start at the tower basement.

Refer to the section on finding the hues room. This puzzle involves the rooms with the 3x3 holes in the ceiling, with a yellow block blocking one of the holes. There are hints to these rooms in that section.

As the instructions in the tower basement would imply, you must use each yellow block room in order, starting from 1 pip and ascending to 6.

When the instructions say "No skipping around", it means teleporting. This includes seamless teleports, and going through passageways that take you somewhere they shouldn't. You can tell if you've broken the rules if the reticule in the center of your screen stops being yellow.

Counterintuitively, it does not include going through paintings. You can go through paintings as much as you'd like. This might be a bug, and might be fixed later if it is.

If you haven't figured it out by now, you must stand under the yellow block in a 1 pip room, which turns your cursor yellow. You must then find a 2 pip room and stand under it's yellow block, and so on. You must actually use the yellow block rooms to teleport, which means if you visit a 'destination' room and don't get teleported, you do not progress.

If you get a chance, it can be helpful to get above the map and simply jump into the yellow block rooms from above, which can help avoid accidentally getting teleported, as there are no teleporters on the roof of the labyrinth.
The Lab
Again, it can be helpful to look at the map from above, and try to identify areas you may not have been to yet. If your computer can handle it, you should change the 'view clipping' setting to none, so that you can see the whole map at any given time.

The area can only be accessed from the roof of the labyrinth, it is not possible to access from inside.

The entrance looks like it's covered by glass, but there is a hole you can get in through.

The area initially looks inaccessible, but if you've reached the area, you can get in. You just need to explore the place a bit.

The thin passageways are teleporters, play around with them a bit.

If you've found the 2 puzzle blocks, they are a hint on what you must do.

It is possible to solve puzzles through walls.

The next spoiler text will have the exact solution. Do not mouse over it unless you want to be told exactly what to do.

Start looking at the 2 puzzle blocks, then turn around, look at the white wall, enter puzzle mode, and type "open".

On another note, I now have everything except the Unchallenged, I think it's next to the undeterred, and I assumed the door would open when I got all the numbers, but it's still here

If anyone else was having trouble like me opening the lab then try 1. going in to every crevice and 2. consider the implication of the two words where you find them... they apply right to where you are when you solve them.

This is only for level 1. If there is an achievement later than pilgrimage not in this guide, it is in level 2.

hint for any achievement later than pilgrimage? (also the first two above it)

Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction to completing the Hue Room? I have scoured every inch of the map and I've still got one orange pillar that hasn't raised. I've gotten The Master and done almost everything else in Level 1 but I can't seem to finish this (and therefore get Champion's Rest) or find The Lab.

Thanks, I finally got it. This also made me realize that I was already there at one point but I never actually found my way into the room.
