The HS-325 "Stormbird"

J-Tech Rescue proudly presents the HS-325 Rescue Helicopter, nicknamed "Stormbird" during testing.
It is a large, heavy duty fire and rescue helicopter, made to fly under all circumstances and at any time, with only one crew member if necessary, although two are recommended for safety and optimal functionallity.
It has been refitted with a J-Tech Hyperjet Mk2 Engine, giving it unmatched fuel efficency and range!
The vehicle is made for career mode, with a focus on pilot visibility and independent operation!

IS it huge? Yes
IS it heavy? Yes
IS it expensive? At about 73k, kinda.
IS the logic extensive and a mess? Probably.
DOES it fly? Always, 100% Wind, Rain and Fog can suck this things backside!
DO I need friends? Nah, it is optimized for only one operator! But the more the merrier!

Main features

- Lots of engine power, transport around a speedboat if you dare!
- Powerful and efficient Hyperjet Engine
- Space for 14 People, including Crew
- Deployable Rescue-platform with 4 harnesses, can be operated directly on the platform or from the Heli.
- Nose mounted Watercannon for localized fire-control (requires external refilling!)
- Retractable Landing Gear
- Full GPS Position and Altitude hold! With variable Altitude input. (No Autopilot! Just use the cruise control!)
- High Performance Cruise Control with variable speed input!
- 5km-Range-Radar and Transponder Triangulator
- Navigation Map
- Timecontrolled external lighting
- 8 deployable Illumination Flares
- Plenty of rescue equipment

Usage

1. Activate Systems [Top panel] PWR(Power), ENG(Engine), optionally also SBL(Strobelights), NVL(Navlights)
2. Activate Stabilizer [Lower Front Panel]
3. Ready to fly!
4. Retract LGR(Landing Gear) when airborne!
5. Activate Altitude- and Position-hold or Cruise-control at will after having read the Notes below!

Important Usage Notes
- Only use position hold when mostly stationary!
- Altitude-hold will hold current altitude if input is set to 0
- Activate Altitude-hold before engaging the cruise-control, don´t at own risk
- The doors sometimes randomly Jam, just leave them be and try again a bit later. (Stormworks weirdness)

Just switch it on in the cockpit, and then fly towards the edge of the search zone, not the center. The triangulator should show a progress bar as you approach, eventually showing a location on the small map.

how to use the transponder triangulator

@Jacohover I also vastly prefer that Layout. I have no idea how the logic stuff works but I'll give it a shot and see if I can change it on other choppers

@NyassaV Its really just a question of how you connect the inputs. I don't do anything different then the rest, I just connect the seat outputs differently cause I prefer this control layout. In theory you can change anyones vehicle to this layout, it just might be kinda hard, depending on their control systems ;)

How did you get the Yaw to be A and D while every other heli creation doesn't do that?
Jacohover  [author] 8 Apr @ 10:26pm
Ah yes, well that will be difficult with both of these. Maybe I should make a much smaller variant, although I really want to keep my harness system integrated...

the larger version is awesome but i need to fit this behomoth on a service ship lol

It is a mess, yes. I always make a lot of redundant connections just because i like to really, makes it fell safer to me I guess. Also if you like this, you probably should try the newer and larger version, its in my collection as linked here
