Having on win10 the game launching, then freezing just after the map loaded, I found a simple fix that worked perfectly for me:

1. Go to your : SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\American Conquest - Fight Back\
2. Find and execute: Cossacks.reg (already present in the vanilla folder)
3. When instal finished, restart your computer.
4. Enjoy the game.

Only trouble is that I can't remember where I found that tip so I could give kuddos to the one that resolved this without any tool or whatever, but I wanted to give it more visibility for other players.

Pour les problèmes sous win10 de jeu qui se lance, mais qui est inréglable en vitesse, et freeze juste après la création de map, il y a une solution très simple qui a marché pour moi:

1. Allez dans: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\American Conquest - Fight Back\
2. Trouvez et exécutez: Cossacks.reg (déjà présent dans ce dossier).
3. Quand l'instal est terminée, redémarrez le PC.
4. Le jeu fonctionne ensuite normalement.

Mon seul souci est que je ne me souviens pas où j'ai lu cette astuce afin de remercier et créditer la personne à l'origine du tuyau, mais je voulais donner de la visibilité à ce tuyau pour les autres joueurs.
