CHARACTERS


Many of the characters in this game, do not just show up. Their recruitment depends on the choices you make. So to start this guide off, I've included a list of the characters that you can unlock, (THAT I KNOW OF!) and how to unlock them. Feel free to add any info I'm missing in the comments section below. • Cait
  Once the Tutorial is over, You can recruit Cait right from the start, at Garth's Tavern.
  
  
• Brint
  Heading up North, On or around the 3rd square into the Old forest Zone 1, you will come
  upon Brint in the heat of Battle. Joining him and defeating the enemy, he is then yours.
  
  
• Atugia
  OKAY SO, Somewhere around day Two or Three upon reentering the village, this Non horse ridding, Non headless, (though unconnected) headless horseman, (called a Dulahan in Irish Myth & Legends). Will come charging up the road in full on alchemy inspired runic plate armor. (She kind of looks like a young lesbian Viking who decided to go for the full "Butch" hair cut in addition to being a total Top. Seriously, she's quite sexy. And IRISH, Cause Freckles!) SO ANYWAYS, She decided to fight you because, INTRUDERS !!! After you beat her, she gets all "Uwu" and "please don't tell my boss I jumped the gun again. Then she joins you.
  
  
• Azyrran
  In order to unlock her, you need to complete the "Land of Milk and Honey." quest.
  In order to make the quest appear, speak to her and PERSONALLY, I choose, "Cuddle *****"
  as a sex option. Because this doesn't result in you getting egged. Choose this option several times, and she'll eventually start talking to you about how she needs a priest of Lumina to bless/purify her hive.
  The first step of this quest is to go talk to Anders in his chapel. WARNING. I do not know if it
  Matters whether or not you choose to take Azyrran along. But either way, you have to fight her alongside her mother. What makes her a desirable hero, also makes this fight tough as crap. She uses POISON, attacks during the fight. I recommend waiting until you're at least Lv. 5 before trying this. You have to purify the hive then. You cannot recruit Azzy if you corrupt the hive. Thanks to rk9island for the specifics. Her poison attacks are powerful, but her defenses are weaker.
  
  
• Viviane
  In order to unlock her, you need to complete the "Be Witched" quest. Basically, Once you acquire some Succubus Milk, visit Viviane in the Old forest Zone 1. I think the first time you meet her, you pick up your "Witch Set"? I don't think she spawns before that. Afterwords, show her the stuff. She will require another 10 before she can complete the research. I don't know if it matters if you warn her or not. I always do. Afterwords she will move her walking Baba Yaga house, to the Wayfort. Hmm. You might need the Wayfort unlocked to accomplish this one. Once you visit her again at her house, you can recruit her.
  
  
• Agnimitra
  After the end of ACT ONE, A certain event will take place, allowing you to take command of the old abandoned fort, turning it into the Wayfort. Right before the square labelled as Bridge, you will come across a old woman in rags. She will offer you the item "Warm Plume". ANd inscribe in her own soon to be ashes, a map showing you the location of the Fire Cave. Proceed to it's second room and offer the "Warm Plume" to the bowl, and Agnimitra shall be REBORN! She is of course a Phoenix. Converse with her about leaving and it will open up the conversation to recruit her. She will require 3 Fire Capes in order to make fireproof clothing. (One of the many staples of this game is that the fetch quests ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE). Afterwords, she will join you. Agnimitra has of course, many fire abilities. One of her more powerful ones allows her to imbue other character's weapons with fire, strengthening their attack.
  
  
• Arona
  In order to recruit Arona, you first need to defeat her in battle, (or be defeated by her in battle) like 12 - 20 times (?) Then, the next time you encounter her, she will open up about her brother, the chief, and the struggles of her people. THIS, will prompt the quest, Right of Conquest to become available. Similar to the quest, Farmhand's Freeholds, this quest is completed by entering a square that was previously unreachable, and having your new ally show you a back way in. Once you have defeated her brother and Arona is chief, you can recruit her. Similar to Brint, she's a powerhouse. ESPECIALLY, if you can get Arona her Spirit Totem set! It trades her Presence & Toughness in for Willpower & Agility!, essentially making her a terrifying, now MYSTIC ENHANCED, BAD ASS !!

Cait

• Witch Gear
  In Old forest Zone 1, you will find your witch set, then later, talk to Cait at the tavern. or in general. The next time you meet Viviane, there should be a option for a "Witch set for Cait". Choose this and you'll get it.

Arona

• Spirit Totem
  In order to get this set, you MUST, have recruited Arona BEFORE, you complete Garth's second quest, Shades of the Past. SECOND, you must bring her along. After you complete it, Arona will take you aside and express her feelings of inadequacy. SPECIFICALLY, that she's never met a enemy she couldn't fight before. Sadly, her hammer just kept passing right through the ghosts. She wants a way to stand up against such enemies! This will unlock, no I'm not kidding. This will unlock the, I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost. (No SERIOUSLY. That's what it's called!) I believe once you have this quest unlocked, you can complete it at any time. However I do not as of now, know of any other events where you fight ghosts other than Garth's second quest. So I am not aware of any chance to get to unlock if you complete Shades of the Past before recruiting Arona.
  
  
• Hawkeye Set
  Okay for this one, I'm not sure if their are any premptives other than the major one. That being said, you must have Arona in your party BEFORE Defeating Kass and the current queen in the elves fortress in the icy north. Arona will ask New queen Etheryn about learning the art of the bow and arrow. It'll come out that there was a wolf type a while ago who used a bow and was about as tall as Arona is. One of the attendants will go and fetch it for you. There will be a moment where you can interact when two morons decide to mock their new queen for being small. Either way, you'll get the set unlocked when the scene is over. This one amps up her Strength, Agility and Toughness.

Brienne

• Pyromancer's Cloth
  TO BE CLEAR, I tried obtaining this set with Arona. Tried obtaining this set with Cait at levels of buxomitude (?) that defy ridiculousnes. The only one I've seen be able to wear this is
  Brienne. You can find it at the Temple of Terrestrial Fire in Frostwood.
  It's primary powers are Agility, Cunning and Willpower.
  Wearing this set in battle allows Brienne to summon the Flaming Bull!

Azyrran

• Honey Maiden Dress
  In order to get this one, you must defeat the honey gollumn in the far left corner of the first floor map of Azyrran's hive. Make SURE, you get it's core. Take it to Anders to have it purified. With Azyran in your party, go visit the village blacksmith. He will give you a quest to go visit Niela. (The one who gives you the silk leggings sidequest. She's in the lower section of the map).
  This set will alter Azyrran's Presence, Agility and Cunning. It is a "Tease Damage" kind of suit.

The Wayfort becomes a real hub of commerce and influence under your command following the end of ACT ONE. With that understanding, these are the quests I have received so far, in order, and how to best complete them.

• Wayfort Renovations
  "The Wayfort is in an absolute state, Daliza and her soldiers will require some time clearing everything out, perhaps you could pay some workers from Hawkethorne?"
  OBVIOUSLY, as usual, go talk to Garth. This will lead to you not being able to enter the fort for 1 week. Durring that time, any time you enter, you'll be given a option of which exit to use, North, south or Ways in between? After a week, go check in.
  
  
• Dungeoneering
  "You've spoken to Daliza about having a dungeon constructed in the Wayfort. As always, you need supplies... but you also require the assistance of an enchanter who'd know how to keep a spellcaster or demon from slipping out."

1. Sum.FSpirit
   
   • Low Level Fire Elemental
     
   • You can learn this power from Ivris, in the starting town of Hawkethorne.
     
   • "You thrust your will into the Aether, drawing forth a spirit of flame to serve you. The spirit remains until destroyed, dealing Fire damage to foes. Its power is based on your Leadership."
   
   
2. WSpirit
   
   • Call forth the spirit of a wolf to fight by your side!
     
   • You can buy/learn this power from Viviane at her house that you can first encounter randomly in the Old Forest Zone 1.

4. Flame Knight and Flame Dancer.
   
   • 
     
   • At the Temple of Terrestrial Fire in Frostwood, (Guarded by the Hell Hound). You will first need a piece of Ice shard, as a offering in the second room. This can just be found by batting in the Old forest Zone 1, North of Hawkthorne. You will need the Sum.FSpirit
     power equipped. After proving yourself by defeating the Flame Knight and Flame
     Dancer, they will recognize your power and grant you the ability to summon them.
     
   
   
   
5. Flaming Bull
   
   • Powerful Fire Elemental Pet
     
   • Brienne will Summon this guy, (Usually on the first turn) while wearing the Pyromancer's Cloth Set.
     
   • N/A it generally, uses a charging attack that does a lot of good damage
   
   
6. Summon Frost Moth
   
   • 
     
   • You will receive a scroll that teaches this spell after defeating the "Mad Psion" and her Frost Moth companion, down in the Dracia fortress tomb.
     
   • You call forth the spirit of a fey moth imbued with the power of elemental frost to fight at your side.
   
   
7. Summon Grungendyr
   
   • Summon the Ghost of a powerful beast of legend.
     
   • While at Dracia, Second room from the right, Battle the ghost of the monster that gored Etheryn's father to death. After killing (Rekilling?) him. Click the option, "Take Totem".
     WARNING ! This will piss Ryn off for obvious reasons. You will then learn the power to summon him in battle.
     
   • "Invoke the spirit lingering in Grungendyr's skull to fight by your side!"
     
   • Casting it with Ryn in the party will cause her to suffer from the "Terrified" state.
     
   • He charges enemies, cancelling states, gores enemies and generally causes 100+
     damage per attack. Sometimes even to multiple enemies.
     
   • PLUS As a summon, He attacks more than a single round.
   
   
8. Ordered list

• Dragon Wings without Corruption!
  So what you want is to get a specific item from battle. Specifically, a fight with a Manticore ! It's a bit of a rarer drop. They can be fought in the Harvest Valley, (Possibly ONLY, north of the river that you can forge? EDIT: You can also fight her in Foothills Zone 3) I forget what it's called, and I will edit this when I remember. But it's the only item that Manticores drop besides money and EXP. What you want is to combine it with a "Mandrake Root". The mutation you go through here will create "You have a humanoid upper body with the usual torso, arms, hands, and fingers. Magnificent black wings sprout from your shoulders. When unfurled they stretch further than your arm span, and a single beat of them is all you need to set out toward the sky. They look a bit like bat's wings, but the membranes are covered in fine, delicate scales and a wicked talon juts from the end of each bone." added to your appearance section of your journal. It DOES NOT, unlock the wing bash (Or whatever it's called) combat ability. THAT, I believe can only be given by succubus/inccubus liquid/giving into Kas. HOWEVER ! It DOES, change text at random moments that involve climbing or other things to at least reference their existence. So if you're like me and you want to have a full on Meditation/martial Arts Master moment with Zoe, but want to be pure, There you go. You can be pure, and yet still have awesome Dragon Wings ! Enjoy!!
  
  
• Bad ass avatars
  So this game has lots of amazing artwork. Well if you click on any of the avatar images. (Including Kass at the end of ACT ONE, when she temporarily joins your team!) You can use screen print on your keyboard to save those amazing artwork thumbnails. Some very talented artists created that art. And it's a shame to let it go to waste! I PERSONALLY, keep switching back and forth between the Painted Demon and Kas. But there you go!
  
  
  
• ANOTHER OPTION IS....
  From the steam page, go to "Browse game files" then resources ---> apps --->
  resources ---> bitmaps --> Combat Busts
  This displays all of the character icons, so you can choose your favorite as your
  avatar. I really like the painted demon myself.

• BECOMING A DRAGON
  
  • NO. I AM NOT JOKING !!!
    
  • After going to Dracia fortress tombs and defeating the "Mad Psion", Go back in
    to investigate. Solve the puzzle to open and accquire the crystalized Dragon blood.
    Take it back after the battle to Vivian. She will PLANT IT??? (Yes. Not joking).
    This will begin a quest where you need 9 cinder scales. You can literally just buy
    them from her. The quest will require that you wait 3 days for it to grow.
    NOW She will give you 5 "Dragon's Blood" crystals. You can combine
    them and things. But ultimately, they will transform you if you ingest them alone.
    I required somewhere around 30 of them, before it started telling me there was
    no effect. After eating so many, rather than other things where it says you've become a Demonmorph or a Chimera, your journal will straight up call you a dragon now!!
    
  • ROMANCE DALIZA !!!
    If you actually read daliza's dialogue/s during the invasion of Dracia, you may have
    picked up a sliiight, inclination that she has a fantasy fetish for Dragons.
    JUST A SLIGHT ONE...
    I'll be honest. I honestly didn't think ANYTHING, could top the pages of text where
    you study martial arts with Z. The descriptions of feeling the Chi moving through
    your body and learning greater control over your spirit is amazing to me.
    BUT HOT DAMN !!! The game describes you romancing Daliza in mid air, wrapping
    your wings around her, and straight up power thrusting her as you launch down
    through the air, through a window and practically wake the city by LITERALLY SMASHING THE BED !!!
