This is an achievement guide, that came from our official press kit. It's as spoiler-free as possible - it will not list any story details without a proper spoiler tag, so you can safely use it as a reference for getting any achievements you missed without revealing too much.

These achievements are story related and cannot be missed. If you need any help getting through the game, consult the guide below:

Right after you finish the Wajapulka segment.





Get out of the Scattered Woods and arrive at Rivenn-na.





Finish the Rivenn-na falls.





Make a torch in the Undercave.





Get out of the Undercave.





Have your shells stolen by Agu.





Finish the Fungilla forest section.





Find the thief's lair.





Enter the Residential Wall.





Team up with Agu in Residential Wall basement.





Fish out the blue gate key.





Open the big safe in chief's apartment.





Save the chief's family in the gateway cavern.





Whack Popoeilo with the sign after you trap him in the mud pit.

These achievements are shared between playthroughs, so you can grab any missing pebbles or encyclopedia pages in the New Game+ mode.










You need to get 1, 13 and all 27 shiny pebbles for these to unlock. You can refer to this handy guide to check which one(s) you missed:

You need to unlock 15, 30 and all 55 pages in the encyclopedia to get these achievements. Note that 15 and 30 pages achievements will unlock as the story progresses (all dinosaurs are unlocked over the course of the game), but some items are optional and require specific actions to unlock. These include:

Cycad cone

It's growing on the left path in Scattered Woods, right next to the big boulder:





Ammonite

You can buy one from the Thescelosaurus merchant at the Fungilla market for 20 shells.



Mortar and pestle

There's one in the healer's house in Fungilla. It's on the table next to the cauldron.




Gastroliths

You can learn more about gastroliths by talking with Tra's father after you finish the Fungilla forest section. More specifically ask him about other things he does on the farm, and present him the heavy rock from the Undercave.


Juniper berries / Breadfruit
Both of them are found right next to each other - they're stored in the boxes next to the Unescoceratops worker in Fungilla forest:




Ginkgo seeds

Some ginkgo seeds are scattered on the glade of Fungilla forest. More specifically they're scattered beneath the ginkgo tree:




Feather

You can unlock the feather entry either by giving the frying pan to the Albertonykus in Fungilla's pantry and picking up the feather afterwards, or alternatively by checking the pile of unfinished pillows in Tra's house, right next to her sister and sleeping father:

These achievements require you to do something specific in subsequent locations.




After you return to Scattered Woods during the day instead of going to the old turtle, turn right and go to the Scattered Woods clearing.





While in Rivenn-na, go to the woodlands depths and use the stick, log and croc-away on the huge crocodile. Note that you need to do that before you scare away the smaller crocodile, as you need the croc-away for this achievement.





You need to visit all four secret grottoes in the Undercave. Note that you need to visit all of them during one playthrough, i.e. the progress is not carried in the New Game+:

• while in upper gateway light the torch and enter the dark tunnel on the upper right.
  
• while on bending path extinguish the torch to reveal a hidden cavern on the right.
  
• light the torch in the upper level passage and go to the far right on the crossing to enter the stalagmite labyrinth
  
• later in the story after you acquire the climbing hook return to the vast room, light the torch and look for a stalactite on the right.

You need to both capture all three mammals, as well as destroy their nest and bring the large mammal to the Unescoceratops.
Catching at least one mammal is required to progress the story, but the rest is optional - refer to this guide (section "Fungilla forest") for a complete solution of this section.

Get 400 shells from the watering mini-game and buy the pink backpack from the Troodon in Fungilla. You might want to save your game before you purchase it though...





While doing the watering mini-game, make Tra angry by completely ruining the entire field. Just click on the glove, remove all berries and close the mini-game window.





You need to look at all six posters on the bulletin board in Residential Wall. Note that one of them (number 5; "lecture poster") only appears at night.







While in the Residential Wall basement go to the basement corridor and look for some small scribbles on the board:



Read all 10 puns scribbled on the board to get this achievement.





You need to fish out four specific things from the lake. Note that you need to do that during one playthrough, as the progress is not carried in the New Game+.

It's more convenient to do that achievement after you progress the story, as two things can be only obtained at night. The fish can only be obtained before you capture the mammal (as you need the dry worms), so don't progress it too much!

• nothing - found randomly while using the fishing rod on the lake
  
• waterweed - found randomly while using the fishing rod on the lake
  
• fish - use the dry worms on the fishing rod, then the fishing rod on the lake
  
• blue gate key - story related and can't be missed, use the lodestone on the fishing rod, then the fishing rod on the lake

You need to read the covers of all 11 books in the chief's apartment. Again, you need to do it during one playthrough, as the progress is not carried in the New Game+:

* 10 books are on the bookshelf, just look at the cover of each one of them
* one of the books is on the desk in the office - you need to open it first, then read it





For this one you must eat each food type at least once. It needs to be done during one playthrough, and there are four food items in total:

• red fruit - found in Scattered Woods, Rivenn-na and Jaw Mountain
  
• mushroom - found in Undercave and can be bought in Fungilla
  
• berry - found in Residential Wall basement and can be bought in Fungilla
  
• dried mushrooms - found on the Residential Wall balconies

While you have several opportunities to grab the first three items, dried mushrooms have a very narrow window to get them. Dried mushrooms wreaths are found on the upper balcony during the evacuation section, you need to grab and eat at least one of them:







During the evacuation section after you get out of Fungilla, instead of going the main gate head right to the Undercave instead. Wander into the cave, navigate to the upper level passage and try going deeper into the cave.
