How to Hammer Boost

Hammer Boosting is a way of gaining a fair amount of height. This can be used in the early stages of the game to unlock areas which would otherwise only become available in the later stages of the game.

  • Spirit Smash Ability
  • Double Jump Ability
  • Triple Jump Spirit Shard (optional)

How to unlock these Abilities & the Spirit Shard
  • Spirit Smash is available for purchase from Opher in the Wellspring Glades
  • Double Jump can be unlocked in the Inkwater Marsh, the Image underneath shows the exact location for this Ability
  • Triple Jump is available for purchase from Twillen, who is also located in the Wellspring Glades
How to Hammer Boost
Step 1: Jump, then immediately use your Spirit Smash whilst holding left or right
Step 2: As soon as the Spirit Smash animation is finished, repeat Step 1.
Step 3 (optional): If you also have Triple Jump, repeat Step 1 yet again.

If you want to go in a single direction, keep holding left or right the entire time. If you want to go straight up, hold left with the first Jump & Spirit Smash, hold right with the second Jump & Spirit Smash, etc.

Funny, I discovered this trick on my own. You can also use Spirit Edge to gain extra air time and horizontal distance along with Dash. It proved useful to grab some colectibles. Thanks for the tip nonetheless :)

@1Pollyx Happy to hear that! It's a glitch as far as i'm aware, but it's not gamebreaking or something like that so I like using it. :ori:

Nice! I found that out by myself and saw this tutorial, it's helping me much more so thank you a lot :) Is this a glitch or an actual feature?
