Introduction
Hi, I'm
XANA[tenor.com]

Formally known as RmCODE.

I won't waste your time, so here's my former forum profile[imgur.com] along with a few examples[imgur.com] of what I've worked on in the past :

As described in the preface, I plan to make in-depth guides for the CO-OP series of modes. They will all include high quality images as well as short( max 15 secs.) videos showing a variety of effective strategies that a player may use to aid him in battle.

Each mode will be clearly separated into sections for easy reading.

This is not the first time I have attempted to create such a guide as unfortunately the game's closure in 2018, as well as the extreme uncertainty at whether there would be a re-release, had withered away any remaining energy I had which was required to create it in the first place.

At the time it was poised to be my biggest community project ever and perhaps may be if AVA Global remains a title for long enough.

Below are some sneak-peeks into what I was working on in early 2018. This may give you as the reader an idea in how I work:

  • As always, if there are any mistakes (there shouldn't be any), do not hesitate to contact me via steam or via my discord
  • The guide is subject to change. Please be aware of this.
  • Any PvP/PvE Hybrid mode releases based on previous iterations of the same mode that were released as PvE in the past may have its contents significantly reduced. Please see the section on 'Infinity Domination' for more information.
  • If you enjoyed this guide, please Like it and Share it to others.
  • If you have any suggestions for other guides that I could create, please let me know.

Format + General Advice
  • The below general format will be used.
  • Any additions/exceptions will be noted.
  • Since this general format will be used, the 'Contents Section' will naturally split itself up to reveal the names of the modes more easily, regardless of how many sections this guide may have, making it pleasant for you to read.

    General Format:
    • Possible Rewards
    • Classes/Weapons
    • Walkthrough
    • Notes/Trivia
    • Further Updates
Please note that the above sections may be split into multiple sections.

General Advice:

1. Arms Upgrade is the most beneficial extension to your loadout. Using it will allow you to use a lot more of the Pointman(F1) weapons and can allow you to use Rifleman(F2) weapons if you're really feeling like it! Not only does it help in CO-OP but also provides benefit in PvP modes.

2. The AI will constantly drop Ammo packages and Health Packages. If you are playing with other people, make sure to be considerate of what they need! If you are playing alone, some modes will be easier if you make sure the AI drop these packages in the right spots!

3. Sometimes it is worth letting the AI walk in a line. That way you can lure a group of them easily, also conserving ammo.

4. Zombies/AI are pre-programmed to move about in a arc like motion away from you to avoid clustering together and avoid gunshots. This is useful to gain time to reload or re-position.

5. Some AI attack using throwable weapons, such as the Drum AI who throw exploding barrels. Staying on an inclined surface, and then quickly ducking will ensure that these high damage barrels do not hit you.

6. Another way of avoiding throwable attacks is by baiting their attack whilst using a wall as cover. You can then approach them as they recharge for a new attack, giving you a healthy window of time to disable them completely.

6. Fast moving AI tend to move in straight lines when attacking. This can be advantageous when training/guiding zombies towards you.

6. If you and the AI are close enough but are separated by a thin wall, or they are stuck and you get close enough to them, they will try and swing at you and will not succeed.

7. Make sure you are familiar with the main type of AI you will face. You want to know how your enemy works BEFOREHAND.

This guide will help with all the above
Infinity Domination
NOTICE:
In all manners of News and Guides, one of my primary goals is to be as impartial as possible, especially when new releases. I have done this either by using any available factual evidence provided to me or/and by gauging the response a community provides. In the case of Infinity Domination, the response has been overwhelmingly negative, and is demonstrated by the few that play it, as well as the return in investment from the mode.

This response is a result of the implementation of PvP into the mode but most importantly their completely absent measures taken to account for this. This specifically was excluded from KAVA and leaves A.V.A. Global players with a mode in which the balance between grind and fun is lost.

Although a walkthrough was produced by the developers here, since my main aim is to increase the reader's odds of the rewards, I will deliberately remove any instruction regarding the objective's set out originally by the developers. Feel free to use the guide just mentioned as a reference though!

General Information:

Following on from the above, I will only be producing material on how to achieve the rewards from this, disregarding any attempt to educate readers on how to survive the longest (which is the main aim of the CO-OP franchise). In other words, after reading this, you will understand how best to increase your odds of attaining the 'new' Roswell Collection. (The Roswell Collection was originally released in May of 2013 in UAVA.)

The objective of this mode is as follows:
  • Win at least 3 rounds in a row. The more rounds you win, the higher the drop-rates of boxes (of all types)
  • Win by fully securing the territory, which for all maps is located in the middle of the map
  • The progress bar increases based on the number of enemies, but primarily by the number of Technicians present. Kill enemy Technicians.
  • Specifically, reach Round 5 and beyond, where Drum bosses will spawn which always drop Gold loot-boxes.
  • Survive as many rounds after Round 5 to statistically increase the odds of achieving any of the new Roswell Skins!
  • Repeat until all the desired skins have been obtained!

Possible Rewards

After accumulating about 20 hours on this mode after only 3 days, and liaising with a similarly avid player, we've both determined the majority of the rewards that drop from the loot-boxes that drop.

General Information:
  • All rewards come in the form of loot-boxes and can only be obtained within the game (There are no after-game loot-boxes, and no other boxes can be obtained apart from these 3).
  • The rewards will display directly on screen with an image of the reward, along with a text-chat pop-up.
  • ALL BOXES drop the SAME rewards.
  • Rewards are NOT shared. Whoever runs over the box first, will receive the reward.
  • All three types of loot-boxes are shown in their respective sections below. Hovering over any boxes that were obtained in the after-match report will highlight what was achieved:

  • In increasing level of quality, the rewards are: 'Green Treasure Box'
, 'Blue Treasure Box' and 'Gold Treasure Box'

  • Please note that the although the 'Blue Treasure Box' is labelled as blue, it appears silver in every instance.
  • The Roswell Collection is comprised of 'Epic' (Purple) skins, as well as one 'Jackpot' (Gold) skin.
  • To prevent cluttering, images of skins are shown at the bottom of this section.

Classes/Weapons
General Overview:

UAVA (Universal AVA) had a wealth of weapons at one's disposal bringing variety to the forefront of any CO-OP mode that you wanted to tackle. Unfortunately this is not the case for A.V.A. Global as the majority of weapons that were at the top of that list are not (yet) available.

A primary example of a few of these weapons include the SPAS-15 with it's very powerful up-close damage and superior magazine size or the Bison which hosted 64 bullets (without Arms Upgrade/ AI Boosters!), and I hope that these comeback whilst maintaining these traits. Better yet, a return to the ancient times may see the P90 and the PPSH return as king's alongside the Galil Sniper One can only hope.

For now though, the best weapon for this mode depends on the strategy you take in defeating the bosses, which will be explained in the next section. Below you will find the most viable weapons and my personal favourite after 20 hours of gameplay (*3 days in to the update).

Weapons are grouped in terms of class and listed in order of performance.

F1 (Pointman):

870:
  • This weapon at pointblank will take out Drum Bosses(1000HP+) with 2/3 hits, provided you aim at head level.
  • Using Arms Upgrade results in 8 shots, which can wipe out an entire team of Technicians.
  • The AI's low HP stats means that long range shots are possible.
  • Is by far the best weapon to use in this mode, and should be used AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!

Desmodus:
  • Has the highest Damage from the three Sub-Machineguns as well as the highest range.
  • This allows a player to take out the majority of Technicians as well as any opposing players.
  • Allows the user to secure the entrance to the Control Point, resulting in quicker wins
  • Has the highest Recoil
  • Is the best Overall Sub-Machinegun.

Z95R:
  • Has the Highest Movement Accuracy and lowest Movement Recoil whilst crouching and jumping. Adding the high range and Damage output makes it an all round weapon.
  • Is suited for risky players that prefer to tailor their movement to the bosses.
  • Can replace the Desmodus, when a player needs to make a comeback.
  • Has the lowest Rate Of Fire.
Bahamut:
  • Has the Highest Armour Piercing and Highest Rate Of Fire, making it ideal to take out a group of enemies, including Technicians.
  • Has the highest mobility meaning you can easily escape whilst dealing a tremendous amount of damage.
  • Has the lowest Range.

F2 (Rifleman):

SK59/66:
  • Has the best Rate Of Fire, Mobility as well as Armour Piercing, making it the best all-round weapon. It also has very low Recoil.
  • This is great for dealing with Technicians as well as players, especially at longer distances.
  • Only let down by its Accuracy.
  • Is the best overall Rifle.
MA-47:
  • Has the best Damage output. It also has the highest Crouched Accuracy making it ideal for spraying down enemies.
  • Let down by its Rate Of Fire.
X16A4:
  • Has the best Move Shot Accuracy, ADS Speed, Rate Of Fire and Range making it ideal in getting out of sticky situations.
  • Ideal in taking out Sniper Classes and enemies that have little-to-no Armour left.
  • Let down by its Armour Penetration.

F3 (Sniper):

SR-F2:
  • Has by far the highest Armour Penetration.
  • Makes it ideal for killing players at range.
  • Makes it ideal for dealing collateral damage/kills. This makes it an efficient weapon for killing Technicians.
  • By far the best Sniper to use, and unfortunately the only one.
Walkthrough
Types of Enemies:

Shovel Soldier Boss:

  • This boss has extremely haphazard movement but charges at a person when he/she approaches them at a certain distance.
  • They tend to move in an arc motion when not charging, so as to keep a 'safe distance' from a player.
  • They primarily target Technicians.
  • They inflict a great deal of damage if not killed quickly. They are able to kill in 3-4 hits
  • Their basic AI allows them to be trained, in a similar fashion to the zombies in CoD. Training them allows one to kill multiple Shovel Soldiers in a very short amount of time. To do this, provoke them by approaching at a fair distance whilst shooting one or two bullets. This will fully attract their attention. Once they get near, kill them.
  • This is best done by approaching the sides of the maps. Although some approach the Control Point fairly quickly, there's a handful that lurk near their base.
  • Since these lurkers are usually secluded to the sides of the maps, the chances of another player stealing your loot are reduced.

Drum Boss:
  • These are by far the most difficult bosses to kill, especially without a team which is the majority of the time.
  • They inflict damage by throwing exploding barrels at a player. These inflict about 80% Damage and instantly depletes your Armour Points.
  • Unlike the Shovel Soldiers, they are extremely fast and DO NOT hesitate in movement.
  • Drum Bosses primarily target Technicians. If all friendly Technicians are dead, they will instantly target players close to them by charging directly at them.
  • Since they charge directly at you and don't move until you're dead, the best way to defeat them is:
    • If they are attacking friendly Technicians, you can approach them near enough to inflict severe damage. This may only work for Rounds 5 and 6.
    • If this is not possible, the hardest but most rewarding task is to then bait them into throwing their Barrel whilst also allowing the Drum Boss to charge you afterwards.
    • This will render him unarmed for a about 5 seconds.
    • Allow him to fully approach your face.
    • Whilst completely still and standing, shoot directly into his head. Please read the 'Classes/Weapons' Section to familiarise yourself with the best weapons for this
    • This will result in a quick kill, depending on the weapon you are using.
  • PLEASE NOTE: This above method of killing this boss may break down when reaching Round 8 unless enemy players are not a problem. At this point there are an infinite number of Drum Bosses, and so the chance that two or more Drum Bosses are targeting you is relatively high. Even if you somehow manage to hide, the rest of the Drum Bosses are probably targeting friendly Technicians at the Control Point. If they all die, the chances of a win are extremely low, which results in a Round Reset .Please read the Walkthrough below for more information on Rounds.

Technicians
  • Their primary aim is to approach the Control Point and will do so even if their main defense, their Riot Shield, is broken, at which point they switch to a low damage pistol (P226).
  • Manipulating friendly Technicians will allow a player to efficiently kill the above bosses. All bosses primarily target Technicians.
  • However if you approach a Boss too quickly, they will instantly target you instead, which may become fatal.
  • The best way to bait Technicians is to bait the enemy bosses into their area. This can be done by approaching the Enemy Technicians side and provoking the bosses which are usually lurking just outside the Control Point.. You can provoke them by shooting a few bullets or/and being visible to them for 1-2 seconds.
  • All Technicians are equipped with a Riot Shield, as shown in the image above. However they are exposed from the back. When reaching Drum Boss rounds, making sure you save ammo by hitting their exposed area may become a priority for you.

Medics
  • More often than one would hope, you will find yourself in situations where health packs are in too dangerous a position to approach.
  • Maintaining Health will become a major part of your efforts in killing the Bosses as getting to Drum Boss rounds with 3+ lives can be extremely difficult, particularly when there are enemy players.
  • Every ∼2.5 seconds, Medics will heal surrounding players for about 30 HP.
  • They primarily target Technicians and are one of the first AI to approach the Control Point.
  • Unfortunately, using radio commands does not summon Medics in any way. They usually burst sprint towards the Control Point in a disorderedly fashion, so one should only rely on Medics in crucial situations.
  • All enemy Medics once killed, drop Health Packs. Please read the next Section to understand more about this.

Round Specific Walkthrough:

Round 1/2

  • The first two rounds are the easiest rounds and do not involve any bosses.
  • If an opposing team wins a round, your round-win streak is broken, and the rounds will be reset to 1.
  • Similarly, if an opposing team has a round-win streak, and you win, the rounds will also be reset.
  • Ideally, you will want to get past these rounds as fast as possible. If enemy Technicians gather at the Control Point quickly, use the GM-94 Grenade Launcher. (Please read the next Section for more information).

Round 3: Shovel Soldier Boss
  • Round 3 involves approximately 6 'Shovel Soldiers'
  • Please read above to learn about this boss.

Round 4: Shovel Soldier Boss+
  • Round 4 involves approximately the same number of Shovel Soldiers as Round 3.
  • The Shovel Soldiers will have additional health. So will ALL other AI.

Round 5: Drum Boss
  • Reaching this round will spawn 3 Drum Bosses for the enemy team.
  • Please read above to learn about this boss.
Round 6: Drum Boss +1
  • Reaching this round will spawn 4 Drum Bosses for the enemy team.
  • They will have slightly increased health.
Round 7: Drum Boss +2
  • Reaching this round will spawn 5 Drum Bosses for the enemy team.
  • They will have slightly increased health.
Round 8: Infinite Drum Boss
  • Reaching this round will spawn an infinite number of Drum Bosses for the enemy team.
  • They will have slightly increased health.
  • Once a Drum Boss dies, they will respawn approximately 10 seconds later.
  • The best way to win past this stage is to try and secure the Control Point. This will force the Drum Bosses to die, the loot can be collected after during the cut-scene.
Walkthrough Continued
Mode Specific Items:
Please read the General Advice Section below this to understand how best to use the following items.

Health Packs:

  • These are dropped when AI are killed
  • They are randomly dropped. Medics ALWAYS drop Health Packs.
  • Bosses DO NOT drop Health Packs.
  • They heal ∼50 HP

Ammo Packs and Stations:

  • Ammo Packs are found on the ground and are dropped randomly.
  • Medics and Bosses DO NOT drop Ammo packs.
  • 1 Ammo Pack recovers 1 full weapon magazine.

  • Ammo Stations are located at specific locations throughout the map.
  • There are 4 Ammo Stations in each rotation excluding 'Factory', which has an extra Ammo Station at the Entrance of the Control Point.
  • There are ALWAYS 2 Ammo Stations located at the Control Point, and 2 located just outside the Control Point. (Ammo Stations in Factory are located under the Control Point Bridge.)
  • They continuously replenish Ammunition. You must stand directly in front of it to receive ammunition.
  • Knowing the locations of the Ammo Stations could result in easy round wins. Fully Depleting ammunition without any in sight will almost certainly result in death.

GM-94 Grenade Launcher:

  • These can be located just outside the Control Points.
  • Each map has 2 GM-94's, excluding Factory which has a third Launcher at the Entrance of the Control Point.
  • It carries 5 high AOD (Area of Damage; 7 metres) explosives.
  • These should NOT be shot directly at enemies, but rather shot at their feet to prevent the pellets from rebounding too far from the intended target area.
  • It takes 90 seconds for further Launchers to respawn.
  • ALL AI have spawn points much closer to the Control Point, which makes the GM-94 a useful weapon at the start of rounds to wipe out Technicians especially on Drum Boss Rounds where it may be difficult to take out all the Drums quickly enough to prevent an enemy Control Point capture.
  • For Round 6 + Drum Boss rounds, it is a wise decision to conserve 2/3 pellets to use in a situation where you might be about to lose.
Factory:

M18 Signal Flare:

  • These are equivalent to an Air Strike.
  • Drops cluster bombs at a designated depending on the location the Flare lands.
  • Has higher trajectory than all other grenades in the game, meaning it will go further than usual.
  • Takes 80 seconds to respawn.
  • Friendly Flares are white in colour. Enemy Flares are orange when deployed.
  • These are especially useful in eliminating a group of enemies, and is therefore the most efficient way of quickly taking out clusters of enemy Technicians.
  • This is only let down by the fact that these flares only spawn at each base. Given the ∼10 seconds it takes to fully deploy (from throwing) it might take too long for the Flare to be of any use.
  • One should not rely on flares for the purpose of this Guide, but to use in emergency situations ONLY.

General Advice:

  • If there's one thing that I've learnt from this mode, it's that people are extremely greedy. Everyone who's played a handful of games knows how unfairly rare the boxes are, and will find the quickest way to acquire the boxes, even if it means completely baiting a teammate to their death in order for you to 'finish the kill' and take the rewards.
  • By understanding how Bosses are programmed, one can manipulate this situation to their favour, thus securing the best possible chance at acquiring a loot-box. Please read the 'Type of Enemies' part of the last Section.
  • Although you can't party up with other members of the community, I have often seen lobbies co-ordinate a method to ensure the best possible Return on Investment of this mode. This can be done by allowing a team to play out rounds without enemy PvP interference until said team loses a round. After, the opposing team can have their go at trying. Although this may mean that you sit aside for a good 10 minutes whilst the other team is essentially 'farming', you will also have a fairer turn at the mode than by default. This method has proven to be VERY effective, as demonstrated by the after-game report image shown at the start of the 'Rewards' Section
  • The following image shows the only part of any of three rotating maps where AI are NOT programmed to visit. This is instrumental in flanking around and dominating this rotation, especially beyond Round 8, as entry is the most difficult out of all 3 at later rounds.

This concludes the guide on Infinity Domination.
Notes/Trivia
  • *** The Ballista Roswell was NOT part of the original Roswell Suite. Prior to A.V.A. Global, and presently in all legacy versions of AVA that are still operating, this skin is part of the 'Cosmic Collection', which also featured the Cz Scorpion Evo3 Cosmic and the Kel-Tec RFB Cosmic as demonstrated below. Both base skins are NOT available in A.V.A Global.

  • After about 2 hours on average, the lobby becomes extremely unstable and will most likely crash soon after this time, as demonstrated below. Since you can not manually create a new lobby, (Intrusion is forced on), the game will queue up for a lobby you can not join. The only way out is to restart the game entirely. If this still doesn't work, queue for a different mode, regardless of server, and re-join the same lobby. This should work. If both fail, then the game is still attempting to queue you in for the same bugged lobby. You will then have to join a different server.

Huge thank you to:
  • Appii and Ghost Troll
For making finding a lot of the media doable, as a lot of them were greyed out or in inconsistent resolutions.
  • Xenon
    For proof-reading post-release.
  • *DDR*
For contributing to the 'Rewards' Section with his own findings.

I mean there's no Co-Op yet. We'll never know if they will add it any time soon, but it's taking a lot longer than anticipated. Might as well not have hope in the devs.

We don't even have coop yet, they prefer adding pvp modes because they want to force people into pvping in a generic 2010 shooter when there are better options avaliable for free, they might bring it back? someday but considering how farmable pve was and how they seem to dislike it, expect it to be greatly nerfed and utter garbage so you can waste your precious time in garbage like arena instead.
