Why are you writing this guide?
I enjoy helping others by writing about technical topics to a higher standard and provide key findings for a higher chance of success!

Who is the intended audience?
The guide is for everyone, but much friendlier to new players. Everything will be explained to be on the same level as those who are the most experienced. The writing will be easy to follow with plenty of screenshots for those who are too lazy to read everything!
How Battles Work
The current unlocked enemies are chosen 2-3 at a time and need to force two battles a day. They officially start on the morning of Day 3, with the one-time exception of Day 2 morning.

The goal is to win battles without losing critical health (red hearts) that would cause injury and negative traits. More caution is needed during the early game as characters are not fully developed yet.
Useful Sickness Trait
The night before can give survivors random sickness but can be useful in finding enemies.
The sneezing trait decreases stealth by 20 with minimal combat penalties.
Army Composition
The ideal units consist of a ranged DPS, a defensive tank, and a buffing/debuffing support. The combination of their skills can deal with all enemies that include bosses.

The first few weeks will be fought by Kari, Blodeuwedd, and Eirik. The first two are recommended to be kept to gain as much experience for the bosses. Eirik can be replaced by Cisse preferably, and he can use the early experience for more crafting traits until then.
Know Thy Enemy
The value of every enemy is determined by their dropped loot. Rope will always be important to get because large numbers are needed for much later tributes.

Unflinching & Effects resistance +15%
The most least important stat

Note: The enemy lives longer if there are any negative changes to critical % and min/max damages.

The reduced damage resistance makes the character more susceptible to death.
Some traits that swap min and max damage are a complete waste.
This just increases the range of randomness with damage while having the same average damage.
Maximum Health & AP Limitations
The maximum stats for every character is 20 health and 12 AP. The dangerous traits that penalize these 2 categories can be selected if it goes over these numbers.

Trait Name
Benefits

Crazy Berserker

Reduces Health by 2
Immobile Fortress

These 2 traits bring the most benefits and can even cancel out the negative effects.

Trait Name
Value Description
Accuracy +5%
Very minimal increase in accuracy.
Dodge +5%
Very minimal increase in dodge chance.
Critical Hit +3%
Very minimal increase in critical chance.
The guidelines is to use these traits only when the options of selecting any other useful ones are exhausted.
Early Battles
Normal battles begin after Bjorn's visit and spawns 2 enemies at a time until the end of Day 5.
Highest priority targets are the Knives Guy and Archer, in increasing order.
First Strike Capabilities
Excited traits are mandatory to increase initiative for all characters who are going to battle. Alcoholic beverages like beer grant such buff but have limited quantities early on.

Note: Blodeuwedd and Eirik will be prioritzed to have them first to heal their mounting depression.
War Tactics
For every battle, Kari needs to eliminate high-priority targets and has a higher chance of instantly killing them after her damage resistance debuff.
Blodeuwedd needs to protect her if she is on the front line or if there is a ranged enemy.

Eirik either uses Warcry to buff everyone in the same row or melee attack that is based on randomized battle positioning.
Repeat the process until enemies are no more.
Plunderer
The most basic enemy but is both a melee and ranged unit. Kari will still need to be shielded to avoid injury.
Knives Guy
The melee enemy who can only attack the front line. His most dangerous attack is his aggressive lunge that can only be used in the back row with another in front of him.
Archer
The second most dangerous enemy in the game. His most dangerous attack needs to be charged up for one turn with the Oppurtunistic ability.
This attack can seriously injure or instantly kill a character with the high critical chance and damage range.
Day 6 Enemies
The Drunkard joins the battle as an enemy support unit and drops valuable early beer! Once the stockpile has at least 6 arrows, roll for drunk and knife guy to stock up on beer and rope.

Loot Order: Drunk > Archer (if <12 arrows) > Knives > Plunderer
Day 30 Enemies
At the top half of the island, elites will replace all existing regulars and have more buffs and health. After Day 30, new enemy classes will spawn and now include Berserker, Shieldmaiden, and Slaver.

The Slaver is another support like the Drunk and is not a threat.

Loot Order: ShieldMaiden > Drunkard > Knives/Plunderer > Slaver/Berserker > Archer
Shieldmaiden
She is a defensive support unit and shields other first when available.
Ironically, her protection backfires by eliminating both herself and protectee when a large critical damage is achieved on the protectee.
Berserker
He is the toughest of all the enemies with his chance to critical hit single targets and medium damage to entire row attacks. His main weakness is low accuracy and can miss often.

The main reason to avoid him is because of the crap loot.
Uber Kari
She will make quick work of the entire enemy team when forced into the same row.

The animation above shows how devastating her attacks are once all aspects of damage and combat abilities are upgraded.
Preparing for Any Boss Fights
Kari must receive all training from Tomoe and have at least 10 combat traits total to be able to instant kill bosses. Her combat traits need to focus on increasing both minimum and maximum damage, critical, and AP. Combat traits that should be avoided are any reduction in damage, critical, AP, or health.

Remember the rare bones that were saved early on with the exception of craft projects? They are now needed to forge combat equipment for additional buffs. Each equipment will roll between 4-8 days and can be timed correctly so that the buffs can be used for all 5 bosses.

Kari can inflict lethal damage and be sure to use all 4 types of whetstones to increase chance to do 20 critical damage!
Boss Fights
There will be a total of 5 boss fights, including Bjorn. Some of the bosses need few days of dialogue and quest items to unlock the battle. Gwendolen will be the most difficult one with Bjorn ranking second. Her battle is the only one that removes combat traits and buffs except health. She should be saved for last before fighting Bjorn for the ending. Battle tactics are still the same except the boss must be targeted first.
Grim: Archer Boss
He immediately attacks during the visit and can inflict high damage to the entire group.
Kari should have more than 10 combat traits to instantly kill Grim first before he can do any real harm.
Gwendolyn
She is the toughest boss because of disabling all combat traits except health.
The Iron Armour is needed for those who have less than the max health of 20.
Bjorn
The final showdown will be quite easy with Kari being too strong. Elof can make the fight even easier by weakening Bjorn after finding his secret stash.
The result limits his stopping power and reduces damage resistance.
Kari can reduce his damage resistance even further and instantly kill him!

The true ending will be achieved when defeating him and the volcano! Otherwise, it starts over again.
