Since you're goal is not getting hit, wear the red tear stone ring & be light as much as possible. Activate the red tear stone ring by getting hit by the fire salamander. (Make sure to have enough VIG)

• 28 VIG (Just enough to survive the fire salamander to activate Red Tearstone Ring)

  (Makes dodging way easier but you can also have 105 Agility instead if you're lower level)

Katana Lunge

• If he does the charging attack at you while putting his blade on the ground, dodge 45 deg to the back or around 4-5pm direction.
  
• An alternate strategy is to unlock the target, move forward then run backwards then lock back on.
  
• I noticed that this move has 2 types; one fast and one slow. If its the slow one, you can use the alternate strategy, if its the fast one, use the first strategy.

Slash Combo & Life Drain

• If he walks towards you, he can either do 2 attacks, the double slash combo or the charging black blade thrust.
  
• If he does the double slash, roll backward.
  
• If he does the charged black blade thrust, roll forwards

Katana Jump Stab

• If he does the leap attack, time your dodge to roll backwards

Thrust Attack

• If he does the regular thrust attack, roll forward

Dark Wave

• If he does the charged ranged blade attacks, just roll sideways, this is by far the easiest move to dodge.

EXTRA TIP

• If you're too lazy despawning the knights before the boss, just Alt+f4 whenever you get hit and you immediately go back to the fog gate once you restart the game.
