That's a pity! With this updated guide you will be able to finally beat the first boss.

You've installed your BIT.TRIP.FLUX copy after a while and you're not able to complete the first boss.
That's a pity! The game has been de-listed for this reason.

Ok. I've seen other guides, I will follow them

As far as I know, the only guide that exists is this.

https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=972133135 but it will not work: in 2020 Steam has removed the possibility of downgrading any app.

Steps

1. Left-click on BIT.TRIP.FLUX in your library. Select "Properties".
2. Go to Betas (on the left menu).
3. Select "2014-06-14 2014-06-14".
4. Play as usual.

This time you will be able to beat the first boss.

One last thing

Once you finish the first boss, change back again your beta version to "none"! This will improve some choices and occasional bugs that could occur.

I'm going to infer a yes, but I will have to shoot for Endurance Gamer later.

Easy difficulty let me become So Meta easily, at least.

I have a question. Do any of these achievements work in the 2014-06-14 version?;
EPIPHANY.COMPLETE, ENDURANCE.GAMER, FLAWLESS.EPIPHANY

cool, I remember installing some beta but later finding out it wasn't working, idk if when I tried again that I properly did the beta or not, but good to hear that indeed is the fix.

Seems the 2014 beta is save game compatible with my current version saves so... Got me a Hard Clear on Epiphany.

To be honest, no idea! As far as I remember I have beaten the first boss then reinstalled last version and it worked, however I wouldn't be so sure. If you try it, please let me know, I will update this guide.

One curiosity remains should I reinstall Flux; I previously beat the first boss on Normal difficulty, but did not do the same on other difficulties.

Will using the beta adversely affect my Normal progress?
