Description.
JR Freight Class EF210 Electric Locomotive

This locomotive was built to replace the aging EF65 and EF66 electric locomotives of the Japan National Railways (JNR) era, and has been in operation since 1998.
It has been in operation since 1998.
The EF210's nickname was chosen from a public contest and the locomotive was named "ECO-POWER Momotaro.

In 2012, the EF210 was replaced by the EF67, an auxiliary locomotive for Senohachi, a section with steep gradients.
Based on EF210 No. 100, EF210 No. 300 was manufactured with strengthened coupler buffers and 400mm larger overall length.
The No. 300 was designed to be versatile so that it could be used not only as an auxiliary locomotive but also for normal operation.
The expansion of the No. 100 locomotive was completed, and the No. 300 locomotive was used for the expansion of the fleet.
