Basic Settings 4 Steps

IF you ecounter any problems = Just go inside your steam installation folder and find the Sacrifice folder (For Example C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Sacrifice)

1) Find the file Sacrifice.exe (NOT the sacrifice.ico but the exe
2) Right Click on it - Properties
3) Enable Compability Mode (Windows 7) and Run as Administrator.

4) Then once the game starts go to the Options menu = Graphics Options and set resoloution to 1024x768 32 bit.

Doesn't work in windows 11. Game still crashes on startup.

Adding 'run in 640 x 480' got me to the menu, but selecting a different resolution did nothing, and the game crashed when trying to start the campaign.

Regarding the AI if anyone sees, use AMD or Nvidia App to force the app to stay at 30fps

I would assume that the AI actions are lost due to how fast modern hardware is

Damn, still broken for me unfortunately. The AI just kinda hangs around, occasionally ineffectually fighting with barely any units summoned. The 30 fps used to be the fix, but as of a year ago I've been unable to get it working. I'll keep looking around.

Yes AI works just fine. Max Framerate is by default 30.

Does the AI work properly for you? I used to be able to fix it by limiting the framerate to 30 fps, but that no longer works for me :(
