1: Starting Out
There are a few things Mico will need to know. First off, is the danger hole. Mico and everyone else will notice somewhere nearby there is a stairwell down. For right now, we want to stay away from that hole as its very possible its swarming with monsters.

Most the games navigation is handled with the mouse from here. Mico can move by clicking or holding the left mouse button outside her range. Anything in her range left click will instead interact with the item. You can see your range by hitting the F7 key while in build mode.

2: Start Crafting
Mico starts off surronded by small branches and stones in the dirt. She'll need to gather these to make her first few tools. She can gather them with a simple left click and then by walking over the resources that appear. Once she has collect a few sticks and stones this way she can craft her first tools by pressing T or hitting the blue anvil icon on the left of the screen

With Mico's crafting menu open she can navigate to the item she wants to craft with the various tabs. The easiest way to craft from here would be to left click one of the sticks shes collected and drag it into the 3x3 crafting grid. From there, all the possible crafting choices will appear. Alternitivly she could simply use the tabs and scroll bar to find what she wants.

Once Mico chop down her first tree and harvest some of the tall grass she can make her first grass bed. Once you do that she'll be safe from the night by clicking on the bed. This will lock down her spawn location, restore her energy and instantly make it day. From here she can start playing around with making her first house but she shouldn't spend to much time on it because it will be time to eat soon!

3: Hunger Pains

Food keeps you alive, simple as that. Once Mico food gets to low she will stop regenerating health and take massive damage once she hits 0. To deal with this she'll want to start by gathering up any food she can find. Carrots, tomatos, potatos and sometimes more plants can be found nearby. Apple trees will periodically drop apples that she could pick up. Nearby animals can be killed for meat and she can start her own farm. To insure an early food supply, she should go back to the crafting menu and create a stone hoe. Left click anywhere on the ground to start creating a farm. Wheat can be found by gathering tall grass and left clicking it onto the tilled earth to plant it. Most foods however she'll need to craft seeds at a garden bench. To craft one simply press T and select the Workbench Tab. Find the Garden Bench, craft and left click it onto the ground. I should also note you can rotate structures with the < > keys. Don't be afraid to destroy plants at any stage of growth, they'll just give you less yeild but will never be destroyed outright. Apple trees as well you can move by chopping them down but it will take a day or so before they're ready to produce apples again.

4. Work Stations
Its time to start progressing in the tech tree, go from stone tools to copper tools, get weapons, armor, and other work stations set up. To do this Mico will need to finally go underground. At this point she's still very squishy so she should avoid combat at all costs untill she gets some gear. If she's lucky she'll find ore right away but more than likely she'll have to explore for a while to find some. If the first level is to dangerous, Mico has the option to build another staircase down. By pressing T again and crafting Wooden Stairs you can place them into the ground by pressing the 0 zero key. While in build mode this toggles her interaction with the ground to be either into the ground or building above the ground. By turning it on, she can place the stairwell into the ground and go deeper until she finds a safe spot to mine for copper ore. She should also try to find at least two units of sand as it will be important later on.
Lucky for Mico she found some copper without running into any monsters and harvested the raw ore she needs to start advancing. By going back into her crafting menu she uses some loose stone to build a furnace to melt down the ore into ingots. However, instead of using it to build an anvil to craft new tools she notices she has leveled from all the crafting she's done! So instead she crafts a wood working table and a copper tailoring table.

5. Leveling up
Mico had several options for leveling. First theres the Melee orinted build that relies on strength to do damage. Next is the Ranged orinted build which relies on dexterity to do additonal damage with bows. Then theres the Mage build that requires intelligence. She has decided she wants to do the range build.

She can see that on the left of the screen from her character menu she can put her stats into dexterity, and on the right she can choose to level up a skill which will progress her down a skill tree to new abilities. She will always have the option to put her stats where ever she wants but generally she will want dexterity and the ranger feats more than anything. She could also choose to wear heavy armor or light armor but Medium armor gives her a dexterity bonus which will help deal additional damage. She'll need to start collecting fur from bunnies to make the first tier of armor.

6. Your Town
While we can spend days dressing up a town however we want Mico's first day is drawing to a close so we're just going to quick set something up for her. By now she should have her stone furnace ready, if she found sand while looking for copper she can create two glass blocks. She can also smelt wood to create two units of pitch. Combined with a some stone and wood she now has her first town center. The town center works like another crafting station but with its own unique items. Once she finds some more materials she could craft a warp stone to bring her directly back to town. For now though she will craft her first shop. By making a second Gardening Station she can combine it with some extra wood inside the Town Center to create a Farm Good Shop. Here, she can buy new seeds and foods to craft with. She can also sell access food she grows on her new farm. If she earns enough copper selling farm goods she can convert copper coins directly into copper bars!

Tips and More to come.
