Ways to make mare friends
-Complete quests
-Give sad mares red apples, green apples, or sugarcubes
-Gift mares the food that corresponds with their personality
-Boop scrunched mares
-Each mare has a favorite food she'll talk about, giving her this will result in her trading food with you
-Lead lost mares out of caves
-Become an alicorn and befriend admirers

Pickups
Sugarcubes: Move faster for a limited time
Green Apples: Permanently raises stamina as well as restores some stamina
Red Apples: Replenishes 5 health (not upgraded) and some stamina
Witch Hat: If worn and mare HP hits 0 adds 50% max HP and hat destroyed
Explorer Hat: Speed boost when worn, 1 enemy hit destroys hat
Pickelhaube: Saves mare from 5 damage before being destroyed

30 food options for trading with mares based on personality type
-Pink: Cake, Ice Cream, Candy, Cupcakes, Kumquats
-Purple: Grass, Oats, Pumpkin Spiced Latte, Breadfruit, Avacado Toast
-Blue: Energy Drinks, Fries, Potato Chips, Protein Shakes, Rainbow Colored Slushies
-Yellow: Biscuits, Arugula, Carrots, Gingerbread Cookies, Herbal Tea
-White: Broiled Asparagus, Rattatouille, Caviar, Eggplant Parmasean, Omelette du Fromage

Buildable
Earth Mares can build the following by pressing the hammer within GUI
-Sugarcane plant - costs 1 sugarcube
-Green Apple Tree - costs 1 Green Apple
-Red Apple Tree - costs 1 Red Apple
-Torch - costs 2 wood
-Apple Turret - costs 10 wood
-Click turret to load with apple seeds
-If loaded automatically fires at enemies
-Food Stand - costs 15 wood
-Hungry Mares will randomly walk to the stand to befriend
-If a mare is in queue you can interact with either the stand or the mare

Main Quest - The 4 Alicorns
-Reach 40 friends to become alicorn
-Reach 80 friends to choose 1 of 4 alicorn perks
-Reach 100 friends to play as your 1st friend
-Repeat until all 4 alicorns are created and reach 100 friends

Hordecore Minigame
-In furthest South Biome speak to Chaos Witch Ponkles (must have 1 friend)
-Give her requested apples and be teleported to a strange place
-Dodge the horse and survive to 100 seconds
-Both winning an 0HP will trigger quest completion
-Friend rewards

Shadow Horsie Maze Minigame
-In furthest North Biome speak to Wicked Witch Limeade (must have 1 friend)
-Sacrifice friend to be teleported to shadow realm
-Sacrificing friend with only 1 friend count will cause game over
-Find the light exit in the shadow maze
-Help lost mares along the way

Poni Poni Dance Club Minigame
-In Snow or Grass Biome find a Poni Poni Dance Club
-Wait until night to enter
-Hold space and hit the arrow keys (DDR style)
-Upon reaching goal you will be promped to choose reward

Cuddle Minigame
-In Grass Biome speak to Anonymous Green Mare (must have 1 friend)
-Protect her from approaching mares by cuddling (sleeping) on them
-Green will allow 3 mares to approach her before minigame game over
-Upon lasting to 100% recieve ability to cuddle mares on the Hub islands for food rewards

Marester Mind Minigame
-In Snow biome find a Radio Tower and speak to Anonymous Pink mare inside (must have 1 friend)
-Guess the correct color combination
-6 guesses, no duplicate colors, guiding "lights" do not match the color position
-Guessing correctly unlocks the radio in inventory and gives food rewards

Hat Filly Minigame
-In Grass or Desert biome find cave with a sign that says "hats" outside
-Upon entering use the arrow/WASD keys to match the filly's movements
-Upon 8 correct combos you will unlock hats to spawn in world

Egg Mare Minigame
-As a unicorn or earth mare (no pegasus or alicorn) find the Anonymous Egg Mare in desert biome
-Shoot eggs at approaching pegasus to defend the 15 apples
-Upon time running out you will recieve food rewards and as many friends as apples remaining

Mare Gaming Minigame
-In the desert biome find a house and speak to Quote Unquote inside
-Text based RPG minigame, follow dialogue options to progress
-5 enemies defeated will trigger boss battle option
-Defeat boss to win and recieve friendship rewards

Art Gallery
-In the grass biome find the Art Gallery
-Speak to Ritzy Road and draw a picture
-The longer you draw the more reward you get (up to 15 friends)
-Can be done 8 times to fill up the gallery, speaking to Ritzy Road after the gallery is full will befriend her

MareBall
-In the grass biome find and speak to Moody Blues
-Hit the ball past Moody (similar to pong) 5 times to win
-Food reward and Moody friendship if won
-Can instantly be repeated upon completion for smaller food rewards

Filly Delivery
-In the desert biome find and speak to Earl Gray
-Use the interact key to go up and release key to go down
-Dodge the clouds and make it to the line that appears
-Friendship reward per filly delivered upon completion

Mareditation
-In the far North or South find and Speak to Statue Mare
-Use the interact key to keep the mare energy ball radius as close to the red line as possible
-Hit 100% concentration to win
-Concentration will decrease if you don't keep the ball and red circle close for too long
-Nights will last shorter for the current mare upon completion. Resets on next friend playthrough

PacMare
-In the Snow biome find and Speak to Anonymous Script Mare
-Eat all the sugarcubes in the maze to progress to the next level
-friendship rewards per level complete. 3 levels total

Snowball fight
-In the Snow biome find and Speak to Anonymous Snow Mare
-Pick up snowballs with SHIFT key, throw with Interact
-friendship and food rewards if winning the snowball fight

Ice Cream Minigame
-In the Desert biome find and Speak to Nommy Nom
-Match the ice cream to the mare's order on the register
-Click the cash register to complete the order
-Time to complete orders decreases with each new order
-There are 15 orders each time, upon completion friend rewards for the amount of orders vended correctly

Caves
-In all biomes Caves can spawn
-Entering and leaving a cave will block that cave off from being reentered
-3 chests containing food always spawn in cave
-Lost mares appear in cave, speak to them and accept to help them, lead them to entrance for friend reward
-Interacting with crystal in cave will remove darkness, automatic for Crystal Alicorn
-Snakes and bats spawn in cave and attack player if too close
-Caves get progressively larger tied to friend count

Pegasus:
PG1 = +1 Fly Speed


PG2 = Cloud Attack [Trigger Perk] - When flying create clouds that makes shadow horsies walk and pegasus shadow horsies run


Earth Mares:
EM1 = +5 Total Health / Red Apples Heal for +10


EM2 = Applekick [Trigger Perk] (Kick an apple at enemies)


Unicorn:
UC1 = x2 Magic Attack Power


UC2 = [Trigger Perk] Rechargeable Shield


10 Friends = Choose 1 Perk (Race Specific)
25 Friends = Choose 1 Perk (Race Specific)
40 Friends = Alicornhood! Choose 1 Perk (any race) + All item pickups x2
60 Friends = Choose 1 Perk (any race)
80 Friends = Choose Alicorn Specialty:

1) Sun Alicorn [Trigger Perk] = Sunlight spell to intermittently destroy all spawned enemies


2) Moon Alicorn [Trigger Perk] = Creates intermittent portal to moon to collect resources and wait out nighttime


3) Crystal Alicorn = All item pickups x3 / Pickups move towards you


4) Friendship Alicorn [Trigger Perk] = Shoots spell that befriends shadow horsies


100 Friends = Faithful student - Become your first friend!

Trigger Perks
Trigger Perks can be activated when in the correct stance by using "F" (Arrow Key Config) or Right Mouse (WASD config) They are as follows:

• Cloud Attack - Flying. Costs 1 Sugarcube
  
• Applekick - Running/Walking/Standing. Costs 1 Green Apple
  
• Recharge Shield - Sitting. Costs 1 Red Apple.
  
• Sun/Moon/Friendship Alicorn - Sleeping. Free to use but long recharge time.

Earth Shadow Horsies - Walk initially, run and get stronger as friend count increases
Unicorn Shadow Horsies - Stand still and fire spells at player (may teleport around)
Pegasus Shadow Horsies - Run if player isn't flying, fly faster than player if player is
Snakes - Moves towards player at constant speed if in range
Bats - Fly in straight line towards last player position, rinse and repeat

Below are detailed steps on how to get achievements!

1) Cute Red Mare
Go through a portal to the island hub with 0 friends and speak to the cute red mare

2) Anonymous Egg Mare
As a unicorn or earth mare find Anonymous Egg Mare in the grass biome and beat her minigame

3) Anonymous Green Mare
In the grass biome find Anonymous Green Mare and beat her minigame

4) Chaos Witch Ponkles
In the Far South biome find Chaos Witch Ponkles and beat her minigame

5) Wicked Witch Limeade
In the Far North biome find Wicked Witch Limeade and beat her minigame

6) Anonymous Pink Mare
In the Snow biome find a radio tower, speak to Anonymous Pink mare inside, and beat her minigame

7) Anonymous Hat Filly
Find a hat cave and beat Anonymous Hat Filly's minigame

8) Verity
Verity has a 1 in 300 chance to spawn anywhere mares do. Befriend her with yellow personality tier food (her favorite food is always carrots)

9) Bad Ending
In the Far North biome find Wicked Witch Limeade. Ensure you only have exactly 1 friend. Start the minigame by unfriending your only friend.

10) Quote Unquote
In the desert biome find Quote Unquote and beat her minigame

11) Sun Alicorn
At 80 friends choose the Sun Alicorn perk

12) Moon Alicorn
At 80 friends choose the Moon Alicorn perk

13) Friendship Alicorn
At 80 friends choose the Friendship Alicorn Perk

14) Crystal Alicorn
At 80 friends choose the Crystal Alicorn perk

15) Poni Poni Dance Club
Find a Poni Poni Dance Club and play the minigame. Hit the impressive dance moves goal required to beat it

16) PickelHaube
After beating the Hat Filly minigame hats will spawn in the world anywhere apples/sugarcubes do. There is a random chance for a hat to be a pickelhaube. When one is found touch it to pick it up

17) TO THE MOOOON!
As a moon alicorn summon a moon portal with your alicorn power (sleep stance + F/Right Mouse). Enter the portal

18) Apple Turret
As a earth mare use the build button (hammer) to construct an Apple Turret. Ensure you have enough wood to do so by kicking trees (shift when still near a tree)

19) Happily Ever After
Unlock all 4 alicorns in a playthrough and reach 100 friends on the 4th alicorn to beat the game

20) Shadow Friend
As a friendship alicorn, use the friendship ability (sleep stance + F/Right Mouse). Hit any shadow horsie with the summoned friendship heart

21) Ritzy Road
In the grass biome find Ritzy Road's Art Gallery, talk to her, and draw a picture

22) Moody Blues
In the grass biome find Moody Blues and complete her minigame

23) Earl Gray
In the desert biome find Earl Gray and complete her minigame

24) Anonymous Script Mare
In the Snow biome find Anonymous Script Mare and complete her minigame

25) Anonymous Statue Mare
In the Far North or Far South biomes find Anonymous Statue Mare and complete her minigame

26) Anonymous Snow Mare
In the Snow biome find Anonymous Snow Mare and complete her minigame

27) Nommy Nom
In the Desert biome find Nommy Nom and complete her minigame

28) We All Scream
In the Desert biome find Nommy Nom and start her minigame. Do all 15 orders incorrectly

29) B#
Beat the game with all music unlocked. It is recommended to complete the Anonymous Pink Mare quest and use the radio in menu to see which songs are unlocked. Every minigame in MareQuest has a song associated with it. 5 caves need to be entered to unlock all cave music. Song 30 is unlocked when beating the game so do not worry about unlocking it before finishing as it will automatically be counted towards the achievement check

30) Ariste de Juments
In the grass biome find Ritzy Road's art gallery and play her minigame. Fill up every blank art showcase with art over the course of your playthrough. Art will carry over to the next mare per same playthrough
