All Any guide for the mentally insane
By BASELBOY1
Hey you, have you ever even touched that silly little "chaos" button and saw that funny little "All Any" option? Maybe you have, maybe you haven't, but this is the guide for anyone who wants to try out being in hell.

Before I actually get into it, it's important to understand that All Any isn't just pure chaos, in fact if you play it enough, you'll realise that most of it is fairly orderly. It sounds dumb but All Any is actually a very fun game mode, that really tests your skills, and how good you actually are at the game. Now it's important to understand, unlike other baby modes, town actually has to try to win in this mode, and it's why I love it.

I'm done ranting about it, now it's time to go into the first day of the game.

PS: (I use the nickname Mister Homeless, so if you see me say hi and i'll give you a kiss <3)

The First Day/Night
Okay, so you've gotten into a lobby, and picked a really funny nickname for your character. Now it's time to play the game. By "play" the game, I mean pray you don't die night 1. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, you'll likely die n1 a lot in this mode. You have to deal with mafia at the least, and at the most multiple serial killers and vampires.

But it wouldn't be a good guide if I didn't help you try and survive.
So, how do you survive the first night?

1. Have defence.
A lot of neutral roles have defence, and town has the ability to gain defence in certain roles. If you have defence like exe, or ww, this step won't really effect you that much. (Keep in mind healing yourself n1 or guarding n1 is seen as a bit of a sus rule by "town", so you might want to risk not doing it)

2. Keep a low profile.
Don't say anything into the chat. At all. Mafia might not kill someone who told everyone "Have fun", but you know sure as hell a sk would 100% rip you to pieces. So just don't say anything, and pray the jester that claimed framer d1 gets absolutely turned into mush by the local silent sk player.

3. Screw option 2, We go loud.
Instead of saying nothing, you could just claim anything that can be considered as a "vet play". Such as claiming jailor, or even just saying that you're alerting n1. This could be seen as dumb, and you're welcome to go "BG here TPLO on me", but let's be real here no lo is gonna be on you because you might be vet.
Okay so maybe pretending to be vet is a dumb move, but why not try doing something even more dumb? Just pretend to be a jester for d1. Most of mafia likes a clown around, since y'know it's an easy player that messes around with the town. Be careful being too annoying though, some nks and mks just hate you and will murder you.

4. Pick a good name.
Look man, going as "Furry kisser" might seem like a good idea, but nks and mafia will murder you the first chance they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ get. It's best to pick a name that no one would really gun you for. Something as simple as "Man" or something dumb like "Mister Homeless" might just save you during the night. I'm not kidding, most of all killers in All Any will gut you for your name.
If there's a theme and most players are using it, then go with it. If there's like 3 people doing it, choose not to. Personally I dislike themes, and I know there are lots of people who would kill them as soon as possible, so just play it by ear.

Okay, if all goes well and you survive, while "♥♥♥ drinker" the medium died, then it's time for the next step.
Is it worth playing? (Day 2)
Let's be real here, if you're playing town most of the time you're dealing with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiots on your team. So it's important to use this simple checklist to see whether you should just leave or not.

1: There's a bit of dead people.
Sometimes you'll start a round with just 5 townies, or 11 of them. So it's important to understand if there is enough to actually stand a chance.
-If there's no dead (I would consider playing, but keep in mind this means there's a surv/sk/arso/exe in the game. Or maybe a town got lucky. Anyways the mafia death note tomorrow will 100% tell you who has defence. I would keep playing if this happens.
-There's 1 dead (From mafia) This is a solid game, I would keep playing since it might just be mafia
(maybe vamps or sk, just pray there's a vh) If there's a mafia dead by a vet or smth silly, 100% stay that is such a gold game.
-There's 2 dead. If it's a mafia and a sk killing, then personally I would stay. However, an sk in all any is NOT fun to deal with, so you might want to just leave. If a mafia died to an Sk or a vamp, you should stay in that game.
-There's 3 or more dead town. Don't stay, I'd say cut your losses and just leave.

The way I see it, if the names in the dead list are at least half green (town), then it's a decent game.

2: Town will actually vfr people.
Voting for roles is really the only way town can win. Think if it this way, most of the time your invest is a consig and your sheriff an exe, so instead you should just get a role list as soon as possible. Plus it's an easy evil out if they don't claim. (Unless it's jester, but hey they might murder a mafia or smth.)

So basically, if the town isn't voting anyone up, just leave the damn game. A town like that isn't worth playing with. I know it's mean to say but yeah, if you don't take a risk and hang someone you're losing the game for sure.

3: Town isn't utterly demented.
If there's no spy claims, or literally any town claims in chat (ex. escort n1: 5) or (lo n1 5 vb 9), then it's just not worth playing. Smart town will claim, dumb ones will not and get hung in d5 cuz they were silent all game (I'm looking at you silent invest, we could've won if you posted smh).
If there's a claim of being jailed is also a really good sign, provided the person isn't lying.

If all of these are at least somewhat correct in your game, I'd stay in it.
Now if you're reading this and you're an evil role, take the opposite and judge whether you can dub or not. Usually i'd say stay none the less, there's usually 4 mafia so you have like plenty of chances.
Good Luck
Now I don't need a guide for playing the rest of all any, if you're reading this then I assume you know how to at least guard a mayor or heal a jailor.

So I'll just give some tips before going into the list of dangers.

tip #1: Remember who's confirmed and who's not. A town's best friend is a confirmed town, such as a vet who just shot 2 mafia and the lo (lmao). These people should be listened to, and you should try and convince them that you are also a good town.

tip #2: Nothing is solid. Just because someone claims sheriff and says someone is sus, doesn't mean the person actually is. This could be exe, it could even be witch outing the arso. The best way to confirm the sheriff? If you have a jailor, hang the sheriff claim and exe the person if the sheriff was real. I'm tired of people falling for exe plays, especially on day ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2. Or you could hang the guy and hope it's a real sheriff, after all im not your mother.

tip #3: Don't trust surv or exe claims. Look man, just because a guy claimed lo and got a town hung doesn't mean he's actually exe. Personally I always make a fake exe play and get a town hung, so everyone thinks I'm exe. It works so good, so anyways just hang those exes. It's a neutral role out, plus you might just have hung the arso or sk pretending to be exe. Same with surv, but I'd say give them the benefit of the doubt. I've seen so many horrific surv deaths.

tip #4: Vig shoot as soon as you can. Look man, it's easy just shoot a silent person. If you keep waiting you might end up getting seen as a mafioso and hung. It's an easy confirm, plus if you shot a town it's not your fault since they didn't claim d2. Be scared of witches tho, don't claim when they're in the game. Trust me.

Okay now it's time to go over the dangers you need to look out for.
The Mafia boys
Ahhhh the mafia, the classic enemy that most of the time you'll be trying to hang. These boys are dangerous, but sometimes cannon fodder for neutral killer roles. Always assume there's 4 of them, and keep in mind which ones are in the game. If there's a janitor clean, then check for med and retri claims. Keeping an idea of the mafia members can help out so much.
Now let's go over all of these boys

-Mafioso
Desc: The bread and butter of the mafia, almost always in the game, and ready to shoot up your doc and leave a death note with many slurs. This bad boy kills, and he does it with style. Unless when he's under orders from a godfather and sent to the obv vet claim. (poor guy)
Weaknesses: (Escorts, Anything with defence, Bodyguards, Sheriffs and Lookouts)
Common claims: (Vig,Vet and Medium)

Mafiosos are easy to get from a constant rb, sometimes if you catch one with your esc, you can "Juggle" the mafioso and prevent them from killing. Anyways, sus out any vig claims and vet claims with zero kills. They're really easy to find, since they might be silent otherwise.

-Godfather
Desc: The big daddy of the mafia, he's like the mafioso but he has defence. Order your lackey mafioso around and send him into the vet claim because he's too much of a ♥♥♥♥♥. Or if you are lacking a mafioso just do the killing yourself and leave a witty death note. He's just fun to play.
Weaknesses: (Escorts, Anything with defence, Bodyguards, and Lookouts)
Common claims: (Bodyguard, sometimes Executioner)

Godfathers are a bit harder to find, but also more easy. Their only good claim is bg, and that's easy to hang since it might also be arso. Look they might also pretend to be surv and exe, but I already told you to get rid of these nerds.

-Blackmailer
Desc: Shut the dumb jester up for many days in a row. He's kinda useless unless you wanna silence an escort that's rbing your mafioso or smth. Not that good, and everyone knows there's one when someone spams the vote button. He's just there I guess.
Weaknesses: (Lookouts, A silly vet)
Common claims: (Spy is the only good one.)

Once you find a blackmailer they can only claim spy lmao. Might be a problem when they post daily, but most blackmailers just stay silent and spam blackmail the guy named "Furry lover" every night.

-Consig
Desc: The only useful non killing mafia role, until everyone you consig comes up as arsonist. (uh oh, you're screwed) if you aren't in an arso game, he's really good for finding hidden mayors and other important town roles. Good for finding witches, just a legendary role for mafia. If only they didn't get destroyed by arsonists...
Weaknesses: (Spys, Arsonists, and vets)
Common claims: (Invest and that's it)

Look man, they can only claim invest if they want to have any say in the game. Good if they bring up a nk, but once they've been caught they gotta rely on their consig results to carry them past the noose.

-Consort
Desc: Rb the jailor or sheriff until they go mentally insane. You're having a great time till the sk guts you into many pieces. Somewhat underrated, but they get caught easy from a spy.
Weaknesses: (Spys, Sks, and of course lookouts)
Common claims: (Escort.)

Yeah just like consig they can only claim escort, it's not really in their favor. Transport isn't a valid claim at all, they just kinda get boned.

-Disguiser
Desc: Now this is a useless role. Only good if you know both a confirmed town that a mafia wants to pretend to be, and there's a TI looking at him. If you just disg mafia random people, you probably won't end up fairing well when the invest gets lo,forger, witch from your framer. (He's toast)
Weaknesses: (Not having a good claim)
Common claims: (Doc lmao)

Yeah good luck claiming doc buddy, you're getting hung since town thinks that all docs are sks. Have fun.

-Forger
Desc: Forge a funny will for a vamp or vh, forge another kill as the ww, and then laugh when town goes "durrr forger??" Fun role, until you realise you only have 2 forges, and that your mafioso doesn't want to kill someone till last second, wasting your forge.
Weaknesses: (Vets, Spys, a very angry jailor)
Common claims: (Lookout)

If the lookout somehow hasn't even touched a person who was visited, chances are that's your forger. A real good hint is a vamp dead n1, since usually that doesn't happen.

-Framer
Desc: Frame someone. Town know they've been framed anyways. Leave d1.
Weaknesses: (Invests I guess, Spys, Lookouts)
Common claims: ("I've been framed", Jester)

Good luck seeing a framer, half the time they leave and the other half they're afk playing fortnite on their mom's ipad. Look if I'm framer i just play jester lmao. They pray for a vig to not exist.

-Janitor
Desc: Clean bodies so town doesn't know if the person who died was a jester or not. Only good for getting rid of jailor wills really.
Weaknesses: (Lookouts, Vets and Jailors)
Common claims: (Medium or Ret)

If there's a med claim with no dead chat or fake af dead chat, hang them. Or a ret that hasn't even used a body yet lmao. Once you see that "Cleaned" sign, instantly put sus on these ret claims.

-Hypno
Desc: Wait until your mafioso dies to become one. Maybe spam the "Witch" hypno to trick town. (Doesn't matter they still hanging you)
Weaknesses: (Spys, Vets, Arsonists)
Common claims: (Esc, Doc or smth that they can hypno in)

It's hard to spot one, but both an esc claim and doc claim can be disproved with spy, and most of the time doc claims are hung anyways.

-Ambusher
Desc: THE JOKE OF MAFIA LMAO. Ambushers can be seen when they kill a visitor, and they only kill one visitor at a time. Everyone will see him, and hang him d2. Just stay home and pray you don't get invested or sheriffed.
Weaknesses: (EVERY ROLE THAT CAN VISIT, THEY SUCK SO MUCH)
Common claims: (Mostly outed d2)

They're literally half the time outed from invest results, or someone saw them ambush and talked to the dead once they died. Ambusher sucks, so look for vet and vig claims. That's it, they're pretty much already dead anyways.

To counter mafia:
Always know their role claims
VFR is their greatest enemy, please use it.
Spy my beloved.

Keep in mind that mafia roles don't have to claim their invest results, ALWAYS keep that in mind when finding mafia
The Neutral Killers
Mafia is mostly like 50% of your threat in all any, however the problem doesn't end there. If the 4 mafia wasn't hard enough, there might be one or more other problems absolutely destroying town.

-Serial Killer
Desc: The most known neutral killer, he's like the mafioso, except that he's solo and has that basic defence. He also murders rbers if he wants to, such as jailor (that isn't exeing him), consorts and escorts. Not only is he a huge threat for town, but also can ruin a mafia's day. Even worse is the "silent" sk, where they don't attack anyone for the sake of an exe claim or other such ones.
Weaknesses: (Mediums, RBERS, LOs, annoying defence roles)
Common Claims: (Doc, Surv, Exe)

While an easy invest result on them brings up the good ol' doc sk disg result, it might be harder to find these guys when they claim something else. If you see sk kills, hang the surv or exe claim. If you don't, chances are it's a silent sk. Just remember that he might be there.

-Werewolf
Desc: The numba one furry, the murderer of town protectives. One attack can murder a jailor, and all the tplo on them. Horrifying to play against, but they can only attack on full moons. This is a problem later on when it stops being every other night, but easy enough to work around midgame.
Weaknesses: (Mediums, Bodyguards, Jailors)
Common Claims: (Exe, Surv, Sheriff)

Once again if you know there's a ww in the game, put pressure on those sheriff claims. A bit harder if they're exe, but it never hurts to get a jailor to execute them anyways. The biggest problem comes in if there's people on a jailor, as a ww can murder all of them, and even the jailor. If you're mafia and playing against them, AVOID VISITING ON FULL MOONS. This can help prevent an unlucky consort or hypno getting caught in the crossfire.

-Arsonist
Desc: The big bad of lategame, the end of all runs. One day everyone is alive, and the next everyone is dead. An arsonist is one of the biggest threats in the game, being able to deliver an unstoppable attack to EVERYONE doused. One hell of a menace to deal with, and can be surprising when suddenly you just lost.
Weaknesses: (RBers, Witches, Anything that attacks you, Consigs)
Common Claims: (Bg, Exe, Surv, Stays silent all game)

Most of the time they like to keep a low profile, since if they overplay being a town mafia might attack them. If a consig who dies is claiming people are doused, then you should probably find these guys as fast as possible. A witch finding them means the witch will get them hung as fast as possible. Honestly it's up to luck whether they actually get you, since if they get outed there isn't much for them to say. However, one that isn't noticed is a massive threat. Best defence against these guys is try to get vfrs outta everyone, but sometimes you just can't do anything about them.

While these guys are absolutely deadly towards your town, you need to remember that mafia will not want them around either. They're a mixed bag, but sometimes you can get really lucky with an sk murdering half the mafia.
I'll be talking about vamps next, so I won't include them here.
The Vampire Menace
Vampires, the biggest unknown threat against town, mafia and literally everyone. Vampires can get up to 4 members by converting non mafia, meaning your confirmed town might be actually just be all vamps. The good thing is, they can only convert someone every other night, so keep in mind that they don't spread that fast.

-Vampires
Desc: The big bad biters, starts off slow and secretly gains members. A menace to mafia, but sometimes a lifesaver for a town who wants to win. If there is vamps, most of the time they win, since town would prefer joining them then dying to mafia.
Weaknesses: (Mafia, THE VH, Anything with defence)
Common Claims: (Jester, Whatever they were before turning into vamp)

Once you see a dead mafia bitten from a vamp, you should probably start questioning how many there is. Around D6 there should be around 4, meaning their numbers are complete. Just start hanging framer/jester/vamp results, because at that point they're not going to be fun. Sometimes there's no vh, so good luck. You either find them fast during the game and prevent them from spreading, or notice it's too late in the late game. Maybe just beg to be converted at that point.

The witch, the clown, and the dementia
These guys aren't exactly "Real" threats, but they still sometimes can ruin your day.

-Witch
Desc: They just want to live and see town burn. Most of the time they found the sk and are using him to murder anyone they chose. The ruiner of vig's day, and the absolute menace for arsonists.
Weaknesses: (Invests, Vets, LOs, people wanting them dead like mafia cuz they had defence)
Common Claims: (Sheriff, Invest, Very rarely they might claim surv.)

A witch isn't that bad, but they can find secret mayors and jailors. However they can ruin your day if they find a vig. So maybe find them before claiming vig, it might save your very unlucky mayor. One good thing is, if you're lookout and you vfred the vig, make sure to visit the vig to see who's the witch. Witches will jump at that vig claim, and it's easy to get them.

-Jester
Desc: Annoy town, pretend to be an awful mafia or just troll.
Weaknesses: (Vigs, Jailors, A mafia who doesn't really enjoy your humor, A very angry sk)
Common Claims: (Anything that will get him hung)

Look we all love the clown, but sometimes he's just got worth the trouble. If someone's acting like a jester, just shoot them. I know it's mean, but in all any you can't afford a jester ruining your mayor who voted guilty. Keep in mind that mafia will want to work with them, as it's an easy way to score a day without a vfr. Sometimes it might be helpful to hang them if you're not doing well, they might possibly kill an arsonist or something evil.

-Amne
Desc: Remember a role on n5 only to realise that mafia is almost dead. Remember Amne as a comedy master and watch everyone call you funny. Be forced to remember a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ town role cuz the vig threatened you, and lose to the mafia anyways.
Weaknesses: (Killing roles, Jailor, VFRs)

They can be your best friend, remembering jailor to save you all, or your worst nightmare joining the mafia so there's 4 of them again. Sometimes they might even remember jester to throw you off. They're just opportunists, so just kill them if they don't remember town.
VFR for god's sake.
Look this is probably my final section of this guide, so I'm going to tell you all to start using vfrs. Some people say it ruins the game, but I disagree, instead let me make a mock role list for a game.

-Mafia1
-Mafia2
-Mafia3
-Mafia4
-Sk
-Arsonist
-Executioner
-Jester
-Jester
-Town 1
-Town 2
-Town 3
-Town 4
-Town 5
-Town 6

Look man, the chances of having two, maybe even 3 TI's is low. Even if you manage to out a mafia, most of the roles aren't even town. So likely by d3 there would be 3 town dead and 1 mafia, just from ti results. You CANNOT win a game of all any with just TI results, unless you are EXTREMELY lucky. VFRs are the best way to confirm a town, and to take a risk aswell. You need to take a risk, so you can find that hidden arsonist or that pesky consort rbing jailor.

To make this short, just vfr everyone so we don't have like 9 people who haven't even claimed at all, which isn't fun when they're arsonists or mafia.
Thanks for listening to me mald
This has been Mister Homeless with my extremely awful guide that likely is incorrect.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have another all any vet game
(I'm going to claim jailor and shoot half the town)
Role Tier list
Based on how much I actually enjoyed it/ How useful it is.

These are definitely some good takes for people that are NOT complete beginners jumping into all any without knowledge and NOT actually good players that play this game. Title is accurate. "Picking a Good Name" advice should be removed so dumb bitches can continue to out themselves and die and cry.

I have several brain issues
