That's it. Simply use the fire extinguisher.
How it actually works.
The fire extinguisher when used dumps CO2 into the atmosphere which can be sucked up by the CO2 scrubber and converted into new oxygen in the CO2-O2 station.

Just don't do so much at one time that you get hypoxia.

Very helpful to do when you are low pressure after a black hole to increase pressure as well as make up for the gas you may have vented.

I'm a chem major. It's actually a realistic interaction chemically though wouldn't be nearly as efficient. I was just checking if that was something the dev thought of and it was.
