RHS USMC - S&S Version
Simple faction mod that adds RHS US Marines factions in Woodland and Desert variants, that use uniforms from the S&S mod. I kinda dislike the original marines uniform, so here it is. This is not a replacement mod, for maximum compatibility both original and mine Marines factions exist.

Faction names are:
- US Marines [WDL]
- US Marines [DES]

Factions were built with AL!VE but do not feature mandatory gear replacement event handler, so whatever you put on the units, it will stay on them.

Expect some minor clipping with balls-covering vests, there's nothing I can do about it.


For people using command lines, folder name is @RHS_USMC_SnS.

Mod updated, new keys added because I hadn't backed them up before I have made a full system wipe. See notes for details

I couldn't care any less. On the screenshot up there these helmets look 1:1, so I don't feel like changing it.

yes but this requires loading ALIVE, I removed respective entries from the config so there is no swapping with or without Alive and I recommend others to do so too.

Bit Late, if you have the ALIVE Mod you can select units in Editor and under attributes and in States you can disable ALIVE Orbat Loadout which will let you swap out gear on units and not have it replaced

@Astute, easiest way to understand this would be to open my configs and compare them to yours generated with Alive by default, and give a read to encoding guide on Bohemia Wiki: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3:_Characters_And_Gear_Encoding_Guide#Character_configuration

TLDR You have to get rid of Alive entries (iirc it was custom init and some event handler, they are pretty straightforward if you know basics of SQF), you add a backpack to unit with backpack = "myBackpackClassname" entry and add items and mags to the entire unit equipment (can't choose what you add where) with Items[], RespawnItems[], magazines[], respawnMagazines[], linkedItems[] and respawnLinkedItems[]. You should join official Arma discord server or "Arma 3 Scripts and Goodies" server if you want more detailed help.
