A short list of tips that should let you win on the easier difficulties. Use this if you don't want to read a full blown guide on the game and just want to get a few pointers on what you might do differently.

This is not a proper "guide" and some existing ones are far superior and more polished (they have pictures!). This is just a short list of things that I noticed newcomers don't seem to know about which hinders them winning games on the easier difficulties. Some tips could be vastly expended or be more detailed, but I wanted to keep the text short. For a proper guide check the other ones. It might become outdated at some point, as it was written in 2022.
What's wrong and what can be done about it?
"I keep losing to Impatience"
Open the glades!
You will run out of food or Queen's patience sooner or later, so make haste to explore the land. As long as you don't need more space to build, focus your woodcutters on opening the nearby small glades as soon as possible to get access to the resources in them. Build two woodcutter camps at the start to speed up the process.

Cut small ways through the forest
Don't waste too much time cutting vast amounts of wood (unless you need the wood as a resource). Use the woodcutting tool to designate only a small "tunnel" to the next glade for your woodcutters to work on. One or two squares is wide enough to open the glade and see what's in there. This makes opening new glades much faster.

Choose orders that are easy to complete
Don't get distracted by shiny rewards for difficult orders - it is small use to you when it takes more than half the game to actually get them. The reputation point alone is often worth the effort, at least because it lowers Impatience. So, focus on orders you can do easily.

Fight Impatience with Dangerous Glades
If you tend to lose games because of the Queen's Impatience, you need to explore Dangerous Glades. Don't be afraid: Usually you will be able to solve the problem without too much hassle. The moment a Dangerous Glade opens, pause the game to have a look at the dangerous event in it to figure out what you need to do. Don't waste time, the negative effects can be harsh if you don't solve the glade before its timer runs out.
Keep in mind that you can change the resources to solve the problem, usually you have at least four or five different options. If you don't have planks, you might have resin for example. If you have none of the possible resources in your inventory, look in the recipe book (upper right corner) to check if you have a building that produces any of them, or look around the map if you can harvest them (press b on your keyboard). If that is possible, make getting those resources your main priority.
If you cannot produce or harvest any of the possible resources (which should be a rather unusual case), call the trader early (with the button in the Trade Depot) and just buy what you need for the glade. The trader is your "joker" and a bit costly, but the reward for solving the glade makes up for it. Don't forget to choose the reputation point as your reward, or Impatience won't get down!

Don't cut wood during the storm
During the storm, the hostility of the forest severely decreases the resolve of your villagers and woodcutters raise the hostility significantly. Therefore: Woodcutters are a main reason why people leave during the storm. If resolve gets low, give the woodcutters another job during the storm.

Focus on processed food
When villagers have nothing to eat, they usually get angry and leave. When you make processed food from raw food, you roughly double the amount of meals in the process, depending on the recipe.
You should always process your food if you can. If you want to make sure you will produce food as early as possible, look into the first small glades around you before you choose the first blueprint. That way you have an idea what raw food you have at hand and can choose the processing building accordingly (there is no sense in choosing a jerky producer without insects or meat). But that is only needed if food is usually your main problem.

Sacrifice resources if villagers are leaving during the storm
If villagers are leaving when the storm comes it is usually due to low resolve from hostility during some storm-only-event or some time-based event from a glade. If you already fired all your woodcutters and still suffer from high hostility, select your Hearth and sacrifice some extra resources, preferably wood or coal. This will lower the hostility, raise the resolve and should bring you through the storm without people leaving. This only works if hostility is the problem - you can check the current level of hostility near the season display, it should be the red number. Hover over it and it will display where all the hostility comes from.
Don't forget to stop sacrificing when the crisis is over, or you will burn all your wood.

Use different ingredients for your recipes
If you seem to be unable to produce goods, remember that recipes in buildings allow the use of different materials. You can make bricks out of stone instead of clay. You can make jerky out of insects instead of meat. If you seem to be unable to produce something, check if you can produce it with different ingredients.

Don't overproduce
You can set production limits in buildings and you should use them. You don't need 100 bricks in your inventory, that is just wasted worker time and clay that you might need for other recipes like pottery.

Prefer blueprints that you can use right away
Go for blueprints that will help you right now. A clothier might produce coats super efficiently, but until you have a good way to consistently produce fabric it is rather pointless. It is usually better to inefficiently produce something that you need instead of being theoretically able to produce something very efficiently but for which you lack the resources. A bakery is fine, but without a farm or mill rather useless.
This doesn't apply if none of the blueprints seem to be of immediate use. In that case feel free to choose whatever you like, want to try or or plan to use in the future.

Keep your routes short
The time a worker runs around to deliver material is wasted time, so keep it as short as possible. Workers in processing building need to walk to a warehouse to get raw resources and after working on it have to walk back to the warehouse to deliver the produced goods. So: Build your processing buildings near your warehouse so that they have a short way to run back and forth.

Build warehouses
If you venture out to new glades, at some point you should build warehouses. All warehouses are magically connected, so if a clay gatherer puts clay in a warehouse far away, your brick builder in your city center can simply get the clay from the warehouse there. Don't be shy to just build them, you will get the resources back when you delete them later. It can be a good idea to put a warehouse near new gathering camps and delete it later together with the camps when the resources are all gathered.
Villagers also take resources out of warehouses to work on Glade Events, caches and to rebuild ruins, so it greatly speeds up these things if a warehouse is nearby. If you open a dangerous glade, it is often a good immediate first step to build a road and warehouse in it. That shortens everything else you will do in that glade.

Don't be irritated by fertile soil that you can't use
Sometimes you find resources you cannot use, like huge meat chunks without a trapper camp or fertile soil without a farm. Don't spend too many thoughts on that, don't let that slow you down. You usually won't use up all resources on the map anyway (if you don't draw out the game's length on purpose). Just move on and open another glade.

Notes
As mentioned in the beginning, this is not a proper guide but a list of things that will help people who struggle with the first two difficulties. Many tips don't fully apply on higher difficulties (my woodworkers usually work through the storm if my resolve can manage the hit to speed up exploration), have some extra-what-if-cases (sometimes it is worthwhile to choose blueprints you cannot use immediatly) or depend on the small details (difficult orders can be much better than easy and fast orders if the reward fits your playstyle) but I trust that people will figure this out once they mastered the pioneer difficulty.

Also I cannot change the guide's picture which is weird. Maybe a steam issue.

Appreciated - although this guide is pretty outdated and I haven't played for half a year (waiting for release to replay it), I hope nothing has become inaccurate.,
