Fix
Open up your documents in file explorer. Open the "my games" folder and then open Fallout 3's folder.
Here you are going to open the "FALLOUT.INI" file in notepad and add "fDefaultWorldFOV=XX" without quotation marks and adding your desired FOV instead of the X's.
If this does not work, then try changing the "fDefault1stPersonFOV" and "fDefaultFOV" as well as adding the "fDefaultWorldFOV" in the .ini file.

I fixed the issue, dont know if you will ever update this but you should say that you paste "fDefaultWorldFOV=XX" at the bottom of [Display], I found this out by looking into another guide that came out in 2014 and told me to place it there so i did and it worked as intended.

Arcanist Shion play your game, when you are in the game world open the console and type "fov 105 105" without the qutoes.

You have to type the number twice or it wont stick. With all respect to the original poster, F3 has at least 3 ini files and it tends to write over them even when you try to prevent it. So the easist way to have the FOV you desire is to set it every time you start the game. Thats how i always used to play anyway, it takes literally a second to do.

I’ve typed everything and it doesn’t work, do I have to start a new game? Trying to work with existing world.

you have to type that into the console every time you open the game. if you change the ini file it will be your default fov and you wont need to change the fov again unless you wanted a different one

Other way is open console and type "fov 105 105" Replace 105 with your number of choice.
