Man, thats my first sub ever, and it feels.


Built on the general design of old french submarines, the Rubis is an attack class submarine designed with a very specific purpose in mind. This purpose being the elimination of large, high priority targets. Equipped with a stealth system and housing three guided torpedoes as well as four nuclear missiles, the Rubis silently creeps up on its unsuspecting quarry before striking out of the darkness, leaving nothing but corpses behind. On a less flatering tone, the submarine is known for its large size due to the massive silos, very messy electrical grid and awkward internal layout. Another drawback is the sheer cost of its advanced ordnance, enough to make the coalition refrain from using them. Most Rubis end up engaging their targets with conventional weapons, defeating the point of its class, and making many question the viability of such a radical design, with high ranking officers pushing for the end of the class' already limited production run to the benefit of the much cheaper Humpback.



The submarine is as of now not thoroughly tested and not fully complete, with a fire/flood detectors still missing. Credits to the maker of the N4 torpedo assembly. Everything else is homebrew from my first ever design, and thanks to the baro discord and in particular Shrekstyle and Battle Mechanic Wally for their invaluable help.
