[Tutorial] How to disable mods mid-save

This is a tutorial for disable existing mod mid-save and you don't necessary need to subscribe. If you have hard time understand English, please use translator.

1. Open pdx_settings.json under \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Victoria 3\

1a. Change "save_file_format": "zip_binary_all" to "save_file_format": "text", you might want to change it back after the edit so the save files wouldn't burst your drive as uncompressed save are much bigger in size.

2. Load your games and make a new save.

2a. Close the game, open the new save file with a text editor, I prefer Notepad++, the save folder is at same location as pdx_settings.json

2b. At roughly around line:46 you will find mods={ SUBSCRIBED MODS }

2c. Carefully remove the mod name that you like to unsubscribe, as an example, from mods={ "A" "B" "C" } to mods={ "A" "C" }

3. Unsubscribe the mods removed above.

4. Load the save you just edited and profit.


Note
Upon loading the edited save, achievement will be disabled by the game, if you don't care about achievement or don't have experience on CE table. Please skip the tutorial below

For player know what CE table is:
1. Type in search engine "Victoria 3 achievement table" and download it, latest is 1.03 but still can be used.

2. Enable the CE table you just downloaded at game's main menu, active the Achievement when using console commands and its sub category Debug, note it's the Debug within the Achievement category not the Toggle Debug Mode below.

3. Load the edited save, change the value of 110 - "Nac" mods not used? from 0 to 1 in CE table, you will notice that achievement are re-enabled now.

4. Make a new save and profit.
