Glock-18 | Grinder - Black Patterns
By s7eph4n
The Glock-18 | Grinder is a pattern based skin. This is a list of the best possible dark pattern index (aka paint seed). Be aware, even the best patterns aren't perfectly black. This is also not an official, certified or comprehensive tier list.

The weapon finish style "patina" doesn't get scraches or is missing texture. The appearance will only get darker, with hardly noticeable patina stains.

Less wear has a slighlty more shiny apperance on the skin surface and the colored sparkles are more visual. More wear makes the skin darker but hides the silver parts of the Grinder pattern - that are slightly shining through - better.

It's a tradeoff to either have a darker skin with some patina, or a more shiny skin that tends to let the silver Grinder parts shine through more. Althought the difference is very subtle and hardly noticeable.
Texture Template
Below is an image of the texture pattern.
The most desirabled black patterns are located in the top left part of the texture pattern, as there's the biggest part of the texture without the silver grinder showing.

Example for the pattern 384:
Sticker Position and Size
Below an image of the four available sticker positions with the sticker "Vertigo's Hero (Holo)" applied. Currently this sticker is using the maximum space a sticker can cover (no visible carrier film while inspecting the unapplied sticker). Compare the size of the remaining visible carrier film of any sticker, while inspecting the unapplied sticker, to visualize the size when applied.

Value / Price
There is certainly an increase in value compared to a standard random pattern. Of course, like every other item, the value is related to demand and supply. In general the top patterns 384/916 are often selling for around 3-5x market value (sometimes more). Keep in mind, listing/selling for overpay can take some time.

Being only a restricted pistol with a special pattern shouldn't increase the value by too much. Similar to the P2000 Acid Etched or the Glock-18 Moonrise, where only a few pattern are special, the price/demand doesn't get into crazy ranges.

Please restrain from adding me, to ask for pricechecks or purchase requests. I'm not dealing, selling or are in any way up to date with recent sales or values.
