Biotech Prestige Mechlord Armor

Opis


A standalone prestige version of the mechlord armor/helmet and mech commander helmet that i quickly threw together that can be crafted at the fabrication bench along its normal counterpart and is unlocked with the same research.

This is my first mod and if you have any suggestions for it, any issues or is able to make a better sprite for that matter, let me know.



This mod only containts a prestige version of the Mechlord armor/helmet and Mech command helmet from biotech.

Compared to the vanilla Mechlord armor/helmet, the prestige version offers:
  • Increase in bandwidth (12 -> 14)
  • Counts as prestige armor for royal needs.
  • Gives the same psychic bonuses as other royalty prestige armor.

Compared to the vanilla Mech commander helmet, the prestige version offers:
  • Increase in bandwidth (8 -> 9)
  • Counts as prestige armor for royal needs.
  • Gives the same psychic bonuses as other royalty prestige armor.



I want to try and make a completely new armor artwork or commision one.



If you have Vanilla Psycasts Expanded installed, Eltex is added to the crafting recipe.

CE compatible.

Perhaps if Sir Van's retexture is enabled for Mechanitor items is loaded, alternative sprites are used? Its not a big deal or anything, just might be fun for those like me who like the retexture

@Dark Piss Man Unfortunately not anytime soon, I'm currently busy with my degree and have another mod i'm focused on, as i regard this one complete. However from what i gather it shoudlnt be that hard to make, by adding a few extra textures. I think you would be able to make it if you look up how to :)

@Phonicmas Dub's Paint Shop compatibility without it painting the whole suit, covering up the secondary (gold) color. Any chance could you make that happen?

Looks like the recipeMaker for the two helmets is marked Inherit="False", but you're not setting a workSpeedStat, which would otherwise be inherited (as GeneralLaborSpeed) from ArmorMachineableBase. This is causing pawns to instead use their WorkSpeedGlobal stat to make these, making them take *substantially* longer to craft than their work amount would suggest. Could you please either add the workSpeedStat tag to the recipeMaker, or inherit it?

Great, finally a point to making suits of this that doesn't feel like a downgrade of prestige cataphract armour.
