Didn't had time over the weekend, so will need more time to write and test it updates before releasing. Also still need to check whats added/changed in unstable version.

I were talking about both. Currently it is unreal to do base building without screwdriver. And there is 2 versions of dowels one with screwdriver required and the other one without. Both currently broken.

Didn't knew that wooden dowels mod isn't working. I know, that some people are using mod to craft nails from chipped stone. I think it crafts 2 nails from each stone. I can ask a friend which mod is that.
Wooden dowels needs to have some limitation, be it harder to craft, or at least require high carpentry to know how to use it. But, people playing game in different ways makes it harder to balance. I mean, if someone loots the town and goes to wilderness, or has a way to come back to loot town - its one thing, since there are some resources. But if there are no places to get books then mod cant require high level of carpentry, because its too unreasonable to reach.

But I hear you, there is a need for another wooden dowels mod. Need some time to think how to balance and to test out if everything works correctly after coding it.

Wooden dowels is bugged now and not updated. Last version of dowels also needed nails.

@AstrayCuriosity maybe I just missed when game updated since I always have a screwdriver on in my backpack. But for wooden walls I think you only need hammer, plank and nails. If you have a saw, then limiting factor in wilderness is nails.
I have though about wooden dowels mod. But there is at least one on the workshop. There are also few mods which lets you craft nails. I don't want to replace vanilla functions, other mods can depend on them. That's why I haven't created new item wooden bowl, but added recipe to carve non wooden bowl. Or else I would need to replace/add recipes for each thing we can do with bowls. Same for wooden dowels/crafted nails or crafted saw.
