Special conditions of detention: SCP-012 should be kept in a dark place at all times. If the object is placed in the light or is accessible to the staff using any radiation spectrum other than infrared, employees should be immediately removed for examination of the mental and physiological state. The object must be enclosed in a metal box suspended from the ceiling, with a minimum distance of 2.5 m from the floor, walls and any openings.

Description: SCP-012 was found by archaeologist K.M. Sandoval during the excavation of a burial site in northern Italy, destroyed by a thunderstorm. The object is a sheet of a handwritten musical score entitled "On Mount Golgotha", part of a larger work, apparently unfinished. The red-black ink, initially mistaken for berry juice or natural dye, turned out to be blood belonging to different people. Of the first group of employees who discovered the sheet (Special Rescue Group of Zone 19), two (2) people fell into a frenzy, trying to use their own blood to finish the composition, which resulted in blood loss and internal injuries.

During the initial study, several experimental subjects were given access to the sheet music; in each case, the subjects mutilated themselves in order to use their own blood to complete the piece, which ended with symptoms of schizophrenia and severe injuries. Those subjects who completed part of the play immediately committed suicide, claiming that it was impossible to finish the play. Attempts to perform the piece produced an unpleasant cacophony, where each instrumental theme was not coordinated with the other.
