Prepare your uploaded shimeji file ready
In the beta version of DPET workshop, we only support to recognize pets with shimeji format,
you can upload the shimeji you created or download from community.

YOU MUST KNOW
1.If you upload Shimeji downloaded on the Internet, be sure to indicate where the source is and fill in the download address in the 'Link' location, otherwise we will check and delete pets from unknown sources to show respect for the art copyright.

2.If you upload your own shimeji, please make sure the file format is same with the Shimeji format commonly as usual. You can promote yourself by adding you social media or profile page in 'Link'.
Note:
1、The file 'actions.xml' is important, please use the correct file name.
2、Only support English right now
Upload resouce file
You can drop the folder here directly
upload succeed!
Write the pet name and say something at description.
Upload to workshop or use it yourself
you can choose to use the pet yourself or share it to steam workshop
upload to steam workshop need about 1minute.
refresh the shop list

this doesnt really clarify the actual process of creating your own shimeji imo, as it doesnt say anything about guidlines for sprites, how many frames are reccomended, or where to put what in the case of using the provided resources. i think alot of potential creators are being turned away due to the idea of needing to trial-and-error a custom upload until it works. please update this guide with a more comprehensive process of creation in the future if possible.

are we free to use the shimeji example file located through the "shimeji resource" link to alter when creating our own shimejis?
